Doms and their numbers may decrease come I15 I fear. I would say on heroes most likely Khelds although there has been a nice increase in their numbers since the buffs and I14 launch.

How is it in three years you have developed no friends network to grind through another round of PvE play?
[/ QUOTE ]
Most of my friends from the previous years on CoV have moved on to other games since. I've seen 2 people I've known from the previous several years each on twice since I myself came back to CoV from other games.
[/ QUOTE ]
I see no worries, welcome back. Time to add some new friends to your list it seems. Cheers. -

Why did they delete your thread? Is it because it had THE solution to this issue, so instead they are just going to be too stubborn and push "their" version through anyway?
[/ QUOTE ]
SUNSTORM'S thread was the one that was purged. Mine has been sitting here the entire time and didn't go anywhere.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh my bad. Well, any idea if they will make the proposed changes you did WAY too much work to be ignored IMHO. -

and no one forces you to do those types of missions. enough is enough already.
[/ QUOTE ]
No, but I'm forced to spend 15+ minutes looking for a damn mission in order to NOT do a farm in the AE. It's completely ridiculous.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hyperbole.
I can easily find non-farm missions in the MA. And there are thread after thread of story focused arc reviews here on the forums.
Again, hyperbole.
[/ QUOTE ]
Nope. You try finding a story-oriented MA mission that is short; you'll find it takes a disturbing amount of time to sort through the meows, farms, tests, badge farms, and similar.

Have you been here?

If not go there for ALL of your story related wants, needs and desires, if so what the heck are you whining about mate? -
Like I said you put in an "opposite" vote to my statement that DM was powerful, which basically meant it was NOT powerful.
At NO time did I say it was THE most powerful and you know it. -
[ QUOTE ]
Throwing an "opposite" vote would mean that DM is weak PvE. Anyone that actually knows what they are talking about would not throw an "opposite" vote regarding the "power" of DM.
The question was very specific and your response regarding the power of DM lacks sound rationale.
[/ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
Ok, so I don't know what I'm talking about because I don't like DM? I gather that's what you are implying.
[/ QUOTE ]
One thing people around here know is I don't imply. I say what I mean and I mean what I say. You may not have meant to say DM was not powerful, but thats what you said. And yes if you "feel" that you don't know what you are talking about. I don't think I am the only one that pointed to DM as one of the most powerful PvE sets.
[ QUOTE ]
His questions really wasn't very specific because "powerful" is subjective. If the question were "which primary is the most powerful for tackling single targets like AVs and EBs, well that's different.
[/ QUOTE ]
This was the question:
[ QUOTE ]
What powerset combination would you consider to be the "most powerful" for a PvE Stalker?
[/ QUOTE ]
Pretty clear and consise.
[ QUOTE ]
And I'm not the only one stating personal preference here, so please try to be a little courteous because you implied that I'm both an idiot and don't know what I'm talking about. I'm neither, but I am a RAVING lunatic.
[/ QUOTE ]
It really was not about personal preference it was about the most powerful. Yes, subjective as to which powerset is the one on top I will give you that no doubt. What I will not give you is the opposite of DM being powerful, which is not powerful and is what you said even if thats not what you meant.
So once again if you think DM is not powerful then YES you don't know what you are talking about. I have not cursed or called you names, stating facts is not being discourteous to you eventhough you don't like hearing the truth. -
Actually the moment you begin to use the term weaksauce you have condemmed your point to the dustbin.
What you fail to realize is its the devs feature and they don't want the 50 to "have" to ex down they want the choice to be the "players" to ex down or sk up. Restrictive changes just because make no sense.
Beat the idea to death because that is where it will ultimately end up dead. Cheers. -
I think the questions posed are EXCELLENT. I am willing to wait for official word on what all of Going Rogue is really about, but these are things that will need to be answered no doubt.
-
Had wonderful PB moment last night on an ITF. It is just wonderful to stand in the middle of a big spawn buffed to the tentacles tanking, trolling, blasting, scrapping and healing others as needed. Nothing can compare.
-
Kings Row? I never said anything about "not" being able to go to KR.
However, the proposal in question is to level lock the AE buildings so that the Atlas would be 1-6 KR 6-12 etc.. If you are a level 10 and your mate you want to do a "story arc" with is level 35, that would mean under the current proposal that you could only team in Founders or Bricks.
That basically flies in the face of the auto-sk system and what is was designed from day one to do. The additional fact that there is no need to do this compounds the failure of the proposal in question. -
[ QUOTE ]
All the "best features" you just described is wnat has turned the MA into a giant farm machine. If the Devs are serious about not wanting to encourage farming, something will have to be done eventually, mate.
Besides, before MA all the lowbies that wanted to be PLed seemed to make it to Peregrine just fine.
[/ QUOTE ]
Wrong as any mission can be farmed. In addition in your narrowly focused "attempt" to remove the AE bldg from Atlas to get the farmers out of Atlas, you fail to recognize it not about that at all.
Forcing lowbies to go to higher zones to team with friends is not something the devs are going to do at this point. That has to do with people that are playing SA's with friends of varying levels. You have decided this is ALL about farming when the exact oppositie is the reason they are not moving it from Atlas. -
Ok, so lock higher levels out of lower level AE buildings so lowbies than want to team with friends that have higher than a certain level toon have to go to a higher zone? That's out there mates.
Forget about farming for just a minute and think about people not farming. Two friends one 10 and one 35. You would send the level 10 to Bricks or Founders AE building in order for them to be able to team with their level 35 friend for AE missions? You realize that makes no sense right?
Ok, so you do also realize that the auto-sk feature was put in to avoid the situation I just described right? You also realize the last thing the "devs" want is for that lowbie level 10 to "have" to go to Bricks or Founders to team with their friend in AE right?
I mean seriously mates you are asking them to eliminate one of the best features of the AE system, one that would have side effects worse than anything someone "thinks" it would cure. -
I am sorry but it REALLY IS that simple. I made a team today and was greeted thankfully. Then the other side of the human drama played out in chat.
TM1: Man it is hard to find a team
TM2: Yeah
ME: How long you been trying to form a team?
TM2: I HATE have the star lol...
TM1: Me too I hate being leader.
ME: Okies let's roll.
This happens ALL THE TIME. People are afraid to make a team, be a leader, speak up etc... It is a human fault, IMHO. I have been a leader since I was a kid on the schoolyard so leading a team is NPWSE(No Prob whatsoever), but for most it takes them outta their comfort zone and that IS part of the I can't find a team whining. -
I have a Fire/Fire but its a farming toon not really built for the AV challenge level. I use def based toons or my Ill/Rad for that. I would like to see video of a Fire/Fire taking on an AV.

Yeah, the farm haters all say in their hypocracy that MA farmers will kill the game.
It's actually the hate that is killing the game. Farm haters hate because they feel ignorant for not figuring out how to increase their rewards.
People's so called protecting the game comes off as nothing but hate.
I've never minded answering questions like where to go to get capes no matter the lvl of the questioner.
I'd rather protect the game by being inclusive and helpful instead of discriminating and hateful and demanding that people play the game one specific way.
[/ QUOTE ]
TY TY TY. -
There is nothing new about this thread and the many others that sought to draw attention to themselves instead of joining the official farming thread.
-
Where are all the like minded people you ran with prior to I14? I don't get this I can't find a team thing one bit.
-
Fix the defendable "objects" then mate. It is an outlier and should go the way of the other outliers. That is specific and needed, the rest of the suggested by the OP is feldacarb and is not.
-
Really is no logical reason to level lock AE buildings.
[ QUOTE ]
It only restricts where characters can play MA arcs and what level characters that you can team with for MA missions.
[/ QUOTE ]
Essentially its a round about way to elminate one of the best features of MA which is the auto-sk system. Whatever dressing is put on this salad it is still being served on an upsidedown trashcan lid. Terrible and uneeded suggestion.

It's true. in the most classic sense of the phrase that I'm aware of.
City of Heroes -died- when the Architect went live. And a New CoH was crowned. Nothing much else has changed.
The population spiked, then dipped (as it usually does when an issue drops) people used the new toy incessantly for a few weeks, then got back to the normal game, for the most part. And nothing changed.
It's just like royalty. A King dies and the new King is crowned, 2-3 weeks of celebration, then it's back to business as usual.
What don't people get about his? It happened when Kheldians came out (EVERYONE made Kheldians if they had the option) Then the Arena, then Villains, then the PvP zones, and so on and so forth.
There will be -some- members of the community that keep tinkering with the new toy. Like the Arena PvPers, Kheldian Players, SoA players, etc. But ultimately the vast majority of the game's population will go back to what they were doing beforehand.
PuGs are back on track, so are Task Force teams and PuG TFs. I play mostly on Virtue and Pinnacle, with a little dabbling on Guardian. I think I've got a -fairly- decent cross section of high and low population servers. I play at pretty random hours (As early as 8am, as late as 3am CST depending on my schedule)
The game is about the same as it's ever been.
Architect has killed CoH. Long Live CoH!

Not to escalate things but why do you think that you have been told you idea was stupid by people prior to posting in this thread?

This is what is going on and NO it does NOT need the fixes your friends called stupid. -
[ QUOTE ]
Why do people keep trying to come up with "fixes" for stuff that isn't broken in the first place?
[/ QUOTE ]
At this point, I am convinced that it is for the same reasons that people think their stories are better than they actually are. Delusions of grandeur.
