Yes, because I'm sure none of your friends collected Magic: the Gathering, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh or any other collectible card games. Or, if you're older than I believe you to be, replace the above with baseball cards or collectible cards from another sport. Personally, I collected Marvel Superhero cards in middle school.
This form of "gambling" started back in 1868 with the first baseball cards and has done just fine for the last 130+ years whether you participated or not. -
Might I suggest pairing Kinetic Melee with Energy Aura for your scrapper. I have one at 47 and it has been a blast. The synergy between the two is nice and makes for a good setup for a theme based toon as well.

The AT IOs to me are much more objectionable.
The devs need to STOP go back and re-think how to introduce them in a way that can be earned in game and not just some random chance via gambling real life money. That is HORRIBLE for audience this game services. -

Poor KB management is HORRIBLE.

At first when I saw the rare IO sales I was like ..hmm.. that's nice but what about the things that are overpriced and cannot be obtained any other way than the market like ENHANCEMENT trays, storage and recipes slots would have been nice as well.
I understand why they are overpriced and not going to be on sale anytime soon, but I still don't like it.

You should seriously try the "new" PB. Perma lightform across all forms, Perma Essence boost, excellent melee damage, quicker Photons etc... Its a whole new ballgame these days.

At least now it's become ok for people to discuss farm arcs in the forums. Brining the farmers into the AE community can only benefit the game. After a dialogue has been achieved, both sides can maybe collaborate on the best way to segregate farmers and their work from the arcs and players the AE was intended for.

Hmm...Really useful set IO's on "sale". Does that mean that those prices in white will be the prices for them "after" Black Friday and they will be a "permanent" market item like Crushing Impacts for instance? Are they account bound and scale as well?
If so this is indeed an interesting development. I wonder how this will impact the prices of the uniques within the Numina's and LOTG sets in particular. -
I like this idea as an option it looks great. However, I would NOT expect any special rewards for it though.

There are several new farms leveraging things in the MA to cap tickets and xp in a hurry. The interesting thing is the new ones seem to be in line with the devs max xp ratio which is good and will put an end to useless nerfs.

I have a thugs/time 50. Its a wonder combo to play. You that have not should give it a try.

Have about 30 level 50 toons and never deleted a 50. If a toon makes it to 50 with me, it is there to stay. The journey there bonds them to me.
