Staying at range may be nice, but killing dangerous things is nicer. Blasters have to be right next to something hard to kill it fast.
Don't get distracted that is the red herring of Blaster's ranged attacks. The power is the melee attacks. -
Natural is appropriate to every powerset; all of them.
Heimdall (from Thor) is natural.
Superman is natural.
Thanos is natural.
and, until his terriblly narcissistic, three-card monty act, Statesmen was natural.
Natural does not mean non-superpowered human. It means no external, nor non-mutation inborn powers has granted you super-human power. -
Electric Melee presently has 4 viable attacks: Charged Brawl, Havoc Punch, Jacobs Ladder, and Thunder Strike. This is not enough attacks for a Brute and is the fewest number in any Brute primary. The reason Chain Induction and Lightning Rod do not qualify is spelled out below.
Some might prefer Jacobs Ladder to have a wider, more reasonable arc or Thunder Strike to have a higher AoE damage component, but realistically, they are tolerable attacks as presently implemented.
Chain Induction
In summary, this attack is just awful. The XP drain simply must be fixed, as it is the most viable way to make the attack useful. Even if that problem is corrected, Chain Induction would still be poor considering its inconsistency.
If this attack is required to keep the XP drain, it must be increased to basically ridiculous levels to actually make it worth using. It is not reasonable to select and use this power when it amounts to Charged Brawl that may hit more than one target, but also costs you XP.
Lightning Rod
This attack is certainly interesting, but basically unusable. It seems like an attempt to add a level 32 Blaster power to an archetype that needs consistent attacks rather than once in a blue moon attacks. This is not a once-a-fight attack. At best, its a once every 4 fights attack. Powers with a recharge time like this arent even used as fast as possible though; people sit on them waiting for the right situation to occur. The other level 32 Brute attacks will be thrown every ~12 seconds and are a signature component of those power sets. With its current recharge timer, Lightning Rod is not the premier attack in Electric Melee; it is only a curiosity.
:Removed part that no longer applies, have had this sitting on my desktop awhile: -
Indeed, the color settings of these powers are by far the worst aspect.
When are we going to get to change our powers' colors anyway; it should be no more difficult than costume color changes? -
Once you factor in defense, Elec armor is still far weaker in damage mitigation than Invuln. Resistance is not the only factor in damage mitigation.
Quit pretending it is. -

Not the current Flash, unless he let him.
Seriously, go to the Comicbook section of these forums and take a look at one of several Flash topics. Flash is faster than Superman.

It was in the same issue that Superman lost to Muhammed Ali in a boxing match. -
Superman beat The Flash in a foot race.

Can anyone point me to the origin of "Kill Skuls"?

Verexion (that's probably not spelled right) is making a new hero planner. The old one is no longer being maintained. Look it up in the Archetypes and Powers forum.

How do you have any endurance while using Dark Armor? Without Conserve Power, you'd hardly regenerate anything even if you standing around not attacking.

Amazing that Dark Consumption and Soul Drain are so much better in the Defender's ancillary powers than in a Scrapper's primary line.
That's craptacular.
[/ QUOTE ]
They are not. They do the same thing the scrapper powers do, but less damage (due to the lower damage scale). It's just that Rad/Rads have options that Dark Scrappers don't get; for example, because Soul Drain is Dark's version of Build Up, Dark does not have Build Up to use in conjunction with it to make it hit more, or do more damage.

The Defender versions have 2/3 the recharge time as the Scrapper versions. These are not damage powers, the faster they are available, the better; therefore the Defender versions are better. -

This post would have been better if you had included no conclusions based on the character you were playing. Your opinion that Rugged is the worst, for example, is based on the specific character you are using.
Blaster fight differently than Tankers for example. Any per minute or effeciency numbers for one doesn't apply to the other. -
Still no numbers for Shatter and Crowd Control, eh?

considering you won't be laying down any money for another year, why do you need information now?

I have only two outstanding complaints about the Hollows, and one is that mobs are spawning literally on top of players. (

Now that IS definitely an issue. Looking into it.

why? don't all hazard zones work that way? Crey's Folley, Rikti Crash Site, and Peregrine Island sure do. -
despite how entertaining it is to look for conspiricies, they don't really exist. the reality of life is that things can only get so complicated before they collapse under their own weight.

the reward for getting to 50 is that you get to start a new guy.
