The next time you want to lump an entire SG into an accusation, you might want to have a little more to back up the claim. Like maybe knowing that the people in the Team list are in that SG or not... you know... important details like that. God forbid that players have their SG chat window open on a regular basis... that's just crazy right?
But yeah, thanks for lumping the entire SG in there. Thanks for implying all of us are part of some underhanded plot to manipulate a contest for money. TopDoc (also in TL) could have funded this contest many times over, so yeah... we really need that 1 Billion and we organized to get our tight fists on it however we could. *cues the crazy music*

There are several technical problems with this.
- 3D Printing methods require solid mesh objects, which our costumes are not. We use a "building blocks" methodology, which results in a huge amount of flexibility. In order to get 3D Printing to work for one of our models, we'd have to export your character as a solid mesh, which would require a non-insignificant amount of work. It *may* be possible to automate the process; I don't know. I kind of doubt it, though.
- 3D Printing doesn't support Bump mapped or reflective textures well, and those are both things we use a lot of in our costume bits.
- Aura's aren't really doable at all in 3D Printing, and for many of the best costumes out there, the Aura is a key feature.
That said, we'll continue to follow the technology and, hopefully, one day it'll be doable!

What more do you want to know, honestly? Do you want an itemized list of content or something? 'There will be x new maps, y new missions, z new costume pieces,' etc? You make it sound like they haven't released any information at all, and are expecting people to preorder a box labeled '?' for $30.00. We already have a pretty good idea of what's going to be included. I can't blame them for not committing to exact details this far out from release, since a lot can change over a few months. Would you prefer that they promise things that might end up getting cut from the final release because they're not finished by the deadline, or that for whatever reason turn out to just not work? Then people would be screaming bloody murder because the devs 'lied' to them.
I'm sympathetic towards people with reasonable complaints. This isn't a reasonable complaint. -

Ok, I'm posting next weeks Matinée early because I won't be here for it. However, I think it would be good for the Matinée folks to form a team for the PERC event that day, so I'm providing a place for such a team to form. If anyone wants to lead such an endeavor in my absence, please PM me and I'll note that in the sign ups here. Because this will be an unusual run (penalties of some sort), it's extra important to sign up with a character initially, though I'm sure there may be swapping later as more people sign up. I will leave it up to the team to decide which category they want to sign up for. The start time can be the usual 1pm eastern time, but note in your sign up whether you want a later time. If everyone gets tied up with SG teams, that's fine... I'll be monitoring/updating this thread until Thursday of next week probably, but I'll try to peek in after that if I can.
