I don't know about a lot of you, but I'd like to think that my work might be good enough to win/place/show in a video or machinima contest somewhere. And to be honest, part of it is me wanting... (oh what's the word, crud I can't think of it, it's not recognition)

I mean, it's one thing to say, "But the players love my work!", and a whole other thing to say, "Look, my videos have won this, that, or the other thing".

Affirmation? No, that's not it either.

Anyway, I think it'd be nice if we could create a post where folks could post up links to machinima contests or whatever that allow CoX as a medium - either that, or I'll have to see about starting my own contest (like the PERC folks did). It'd automatically guarantee that I CAN'T win, but maybe it'll help someone else.

Validation? No... ARGH, what word IS that?!?!

Weird filming quirk underwater I just noticed... if you're underwater and looking up through the water's surface... you can't see a lit torch's flame. You can see the torch just fine... but there's no fire.

What I did was during the open casting call in Pocket D, I divided folks up into groups based on their costumes, took screenshots so I knew who was who, and then /demorecorded what was going on in Pocket D. That way I could have them doing whatever I wanted in my actual video. There were... I think 27 people in Roman outfits in Pocket D, and ALL of them appear in that shot where they're all standing in front of Imperious and cheering.

Sorry if I'm not making any sense, I'm still god-awful sick and exhausted.
