I try to think outside the box when it comes to the invasions. Sure I'm a lvl 50. Sure I've got the accolade.

So hearing the panicked "I'm a lvl 6 emp def, wth is going on?" is my cue for:

a) Mentoring badges. SKing a lvl 6 up to lvl 50 boosts those heals!
b) Vanguard merits (which are now the topic of much debate about whether their granted numbers are dropping or not, I know I've not noticed a problem).
c) Healing badges (for MY non-lvl-50 healers who already have the accolade).
d) Held/restrained/sleep badges. (Dratted Mentalists...)
e) Damage taken badges.

And besides, they're FUN! Personally, I'm jazzed when I lead a team of seven newcomers and when the war walls are back up and the all-clear sounds, over the team chat comes, "THAT WAS AWESOME! Is there another one?! Where now?"

And I've been playing this game a year and a half...

I still enjoy them - the minute I hear that "WHOOOOSH" sound, the sky goes green, and the War Walls collapse, my first response, "OH YEAH" and the broadcast goes out for a Rikti team.

And THIS time, darn it all, I am recruiting three teams of lvl 50s on Triumph and we are taking a drop ship DOWN!

I've started work on a new video about all the fun hoops we jump through in bringing our creative visions to life! And unlike a lot of my videos that focus on the players, this time I'm focusing on the videographers.

To folks like Zloth and Leandro and Mr. Abyss and all the rest who make videos, if you've got a character that you associate with your filming persona (like Johanna Sinclair is my filming alter ego on every server), please nab a /demorecord of your primary filming character, and send a copy of the demo file to josinclair AT samuraiko DOT com and I will do my best to get you into this one.

This one is all about fun - there is NOTHING serious in this video (trust me when I say that I'm slaying some sacred cows here), but I really think it's a riot.

Well, *I* think it's funny. Either the devs will love it... or they will invoke Dev Fiat and kill my characters on sight.

Heh I'm in that one a few times myself. The Pink/Black brute who changes into a Cimeroran clone at the very end is one of my two chars in that video. She's second from the right iirc...before I turned one of her outfits into a black/pink ensemble.

Just my luck - four of the five download no problem - CPOS keeps giving me the error that "no server with this file is currently available." Grrrrrrrrr. But I do appreciate the other four, and I've sort of progressed beyond Kitty's Guide.

But thank you very much! Figuring out camera work is always a PITA.
