Oh, don't I wish.

Although when I had the title, I invariably got one of two responses when filming in PvP zones.

Response 1:
I'd announce that I was in the zone strictly to film... and promptly became the target of everyone in the zone, over and over and over and over and over again. (It wasn't until at one point, some (presumably) n00b saw the gold title and mistakenly took me for a dev and promptly told everyone in the zone that I was a dev that they left me alone for fear of the "I WIN" attack.)

Response 2:
I'd enter a PvP zone and announce that I was there just to film, and I had people following me around acting like bouncers keeping other PvPers away from me and offering to help and generally being very cool about it. A couple even told me where to find some really awesome locations for filming and showed me how to get there.

Then again, this was back when I was the only person with the "Videographer" title and everyone knew me as "the chick who makes videos". I am no longer a unique entity.

Now there's a thought... Videographers are automatically immune in PvP zones! Or intangible... we can't hit them, they can't hit us. We are the Switzerlands of the PvP zones.

You know, I remember when there were only a couple of us who actually did the whole video thing and were known for it. You couldn't throw a rock without hitting a fan artist, but videographers were few and far between.

And now look at the variety of people posting in this thread, waiting to find out what fate NCSoft has in mind for us...

I also think we owe _Wyll_ and Sister Flame a huge round of thanks for proving that there are, in fact, chicks who play CoX. You've heard it here first, gentlemen.

And think of it, _Wyll_ - in ten years or so, when Flame starts bringing home the boys, she's not gonna care what kind of car he drives or if he's got tattoos, it's gonna be:

Okay, I have read all the posts up til mine in this thread, and I've been laughing like a goof for the last several minutes.

_Wyll_, I am sorely lamenting I had not read this thread BEFORE I made my "City of Commercials" contest entry, because I think Sister Flame would have had a starring role. Kudos to you and la familia for reminding us all why this game just rocks (and kudos to the devs as well).

And you can bet that when the players get to start creating their own content, someone had BETTER create Sister Flame's Task Force. It may be the shortest one in the game, but probably the funniest.

Yeah it can be a bit confusing sometimes...

For myself, I've kept the PLAYER notification over the character even when I want the camera to track something else, and for myself, I've not noticed it being a problem. So either I'm doing it wrong and still getting lucky, or it doesn't really matter where the PLAYER designation goes.

You need to put this just above the player's name:

0 100 NEW Player

Then remove the PLAYER notation above the puddle.

Also, I noticed your first set of coordinates for your player is missing a PYR line.

Other than that, you should be fine - then again, I'm exhausted and may be missing something.

Chat you can still see provided it appears over characters' heads (if you're using Zloth's Demo Player, you can opt to leave that on), but if it's conversations going on over a channel that doesn't display that way, then you're out of luck, I'm afraid.

Okay.

Not all "Maintained" FX actually travel with your character. Problem #1.

As far as I know, you would need to add the fissue FX during each "step" of the way as he sprints past the camera. It would warrant some experimenting to get the distance correct (for example, depending on the fissure size, it might be every THIRD step or something).

Does anyone by any chance have large sized version of the archetype and origin graphics? (By large sized, I mean bigger than, say, 100x100 pixels.) I've looked and not been able to find them, and I need good-quality large versions of the graphics.

I'm amiable as to format, but if anyone's got them as a PhotoShop .psd file, I would be absolutely thrilled.

Anybody? Please?

At any rate, thanks to the devs for the "Spam" option in my email and the "click on the name and take action" option. It has definitely helped (although They Who Should Not Be Named appear to be taking advantage of the greater numbers online this weekend for the Rikti Invasion to re-double their efforts).

I fully agree - SUE!

In the meantime, to hopefully cheer up those who've been put out, annoyed, and generally inconvenienced by "THEM", I offer you... this.
