Me too, Demon, Me too. -
I might play. We'll see what I come up with this weekend.

Imagine it's a Bio/Costume Contest, Dinah? With the theme of the contest being Honor before glory.
I don't know that UHB would agree with me, but I could see for example Batman being in this category.
His own personal image matters not, and in fact quite often he makes a mockery of his personal public self so that people pay less attention to him.
His real goal is to help clean up Gotham and regardless of how people perceive him, he does what needs to be done that others can't. Even when the public needs a scapegoat, he's willing to take that role because the good of the public comes before himself.
Hard to convey I suppose, but I think we'll see some fun entries.
I almost think I understand this too well. o_o -

But when people start taking my event thread and taking personal pot shots at each other it hurts my feelings and truly upsets me. I deal with CK regularly, as well as you Felecia. I have never been rude or insulting to anyone. And I feel it was very rude and I am VERY insulted that you felt the need to take my event thread and make it your personal page to insult other members of this server and other player event groups. That is all!

Something tells me something was deleted that your thread is probably truly happy I missed seeing. :-)
Now on to this contest. I am still confused, so can I get some more specific clarification.
Are you looking for an existing character that is always running to the rescue to help, team, teach, etc? Kind of how Cobalt always runs to help fight GM's? If this is so then I think that is where the confusion is because it really isnt the character that is doing that but the person behind the mask that is.
Or are you looking for an existing character that has a bio, costume etc that when you read it and look at it the theme says "hero", or "helpful" etc.?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes, some stuff was deleted. It's better that way, Promise.
Honorable, not helpful. Honor before glory. Costume / Bio / Name I assume all should lend toward someone going, "Yeah, that'd be what I'd call an Honorable Hero."
We're not talking about most helpful or best admired "Players" but rather, Toon overall concept. -
[ QUOTE ]
Still ... I feel could fairly argue he fits the criteria listed in the OP.
[/ QUOTE ]
Does that toon even still exist? -
[ QUOTE ]
I'm going to nominate Lord Stryker. He fits all the qualifications.
[/ QUOTE ]
O_O
I've never read his Bio. Is it good? -

The same people you love on your team can be baby eaters when logged out .. or something.

... and said, "NO TASKFORCE!"
Of course by this point... -
Sounds fair enough. I have almost 2/3's of a month to get him up a few levels. I should be able to accomplish that. Even with all the plans I have... Hehehe.

By the way, why is it in families that if there are two or more sisters, one is always smoking hot? Perhaps *THAT* is the conspiracy!
[/ QUOTE ]
On a similar note, when there are a group of 3 young ladies, why is one so much physically less attractive? Is the one on the lesser end of the hotness scale trying to make herself feel better. Although at the same time she is putting the other 2 that much higher on the scale.
It appears as though there are multiple consipiracies going on there and the symbiosis of that scenario seems a bit weighted.
[/ QUOTE ]
I have 3 older sisters. I've overheard some really disturbing things about what women do.
This one I think is just wrong, not disturbing, just wrong.
Men go out in pairs and groups, and help each other along in getting women. (Optimally that is. Lord help you if you have a (CENSORED)-Blocker in your party). This is the "Wingman" approach. And it works. Men benefit from the aid of another. Kinda Brotherly.
Women, on the other hand, have this tactic. I call it "The Ugly Duckling" (actually stole the term from one of my sisters' friends, but whatever) Women go out in a group of 3 or more, a "herd" if you will. Within this herd, there will be the Ugly Duckling. The girl who, maybe even unknowningly (which is often the cruel part), is several level less attractive than the rest. This is for Contrast. You look at the group, and see the Ugly Duckling, and the rest begin to appear all the more hotter in comparison. So, the girls get their men, and the Ugly Duckling is left to sit at the bar till closing, and hope for one of us stupid males who is drunk enough to take her home. This lowers her self-esteem even worse, and propogates her self-image as unattractive, and thus keeps her in the Ugly Duckling position.
However, in many cases, this Ugly Duckling may become a whole differant entity entirely. The Guard Dog. The Guard Dog is an Unattractive friend who has had thier self-esteem beaten out of them to the point they are bitter, jealous, and spiteful. They are the Wingman's nemesis. They hover around the group of "hotties" and block and undermine all guys attempts to woo said hotties. The only solution to this to have a "Kamikaze Wingman" (a rare and treasured man indeed) who will take one for the team, fully sober. He targets the Guard Dog, and diverts her from the group, with drinks and flattery. This often means the Wingman must, "follow through" with his course and make the "Walk of Shame" the next morning. But, fear not. True Friends will herald and martyr the name and deeds of this Kamikaze Wingman. For he has done the tribe a great service.
[/ QUOTE ]
I knew of why they did it (the Ugly Duckling) with only having one sister. But my sister was one that was always being chased and we shared our war stories on the world with each other. I told her of men's exploits and she kept me out of the clutches of the manipulative
That's Blood for ya ;D -

I'd totally enter Juror except that he's no where near 50 and I'm not going to PL him for the contest.
The rest all have dark pasts even if only in my own mind and not put down into the bio yet.
Hrm...
[/ QUOTE ]
What level is he? As long as he's 35 and can get in the zone I think he'd be good!
[/ QUOTE ]
Good Question. I'm not sure. I haven't played him for a month or so. I think maybe 23? But I have till August 1st right? Hmm.... -

We're only making a stink about it because you're not the only one. We aren't personally targetting you Cherry. At least I'm not.
-
Hey, how often do they have to say it's the character concept idea... not the player they want to have you nominate.
Example
(And no I'm not submitting this character as it's my own and this bio doesn't even exist on him, but to try to get the idea across - also he's not lvl 50)
Lone Juror
Bio: While serving his public duty as a Juror, Ed Starks, confronted with photos of a murder scene, had his latent psychic powers reveal themselves. He KNEW the defendant was guilty, and yet couldn't do anything about it. The trial ended in a hung jury as no one else could see what he could, and he couldn't exactly explain it either.
Not only could he hear the thoughts of others, but he could even feel the world around him through his mind. Slowly he realized he could move things that he could feel.
Disguising himself in a costume, he now works with the police to elicit confessions from Murders after arresting them by tripping them up by knowing what will make them break in interrogation.
So point being, it's not about how Cobalt helps people, or CriticalKat is awesome, or how any member of Perc does things on a regular basis to help people.
It's about the character concept + costume = honorable -
Now we've hit 4 pages on mine, which means it's somewhere over 200 posts
