  1. Besides mind is not the less dmg primary on trollers precisely
  2. Yeah, a damage dealer supposed to kill things, that would be hax
  3. I'd prefer a dmg buff over a control buff anytime on most trollers. IMO any non /empath troller is quite capable to keep several mobs under control at once with ease as they are, but any primary but fire or illu takes ages to kill a minion.
Soloing capabilities on the other hand, wouldn't be as important as they are if teaming was easier too. Sadly soloing has a major importance in this game tho, mainly if u play defiant side
  4. I'd get both if you can spare the slots (speed+fitness+fighting+medicine pools all in all). If I had to recommend just one I'd say that's up to your playstyle. If you like herding up *recommended*, I'd go medicine. If you just like to charge in on every mob, I'd go fighting. It also depends on if you play with a regular team, and their ATs and powersets (always playing with an empath? go fighting; tagging with a bubbler? you prolly wouldnt need any, but out of those two, go medicine)

Where the hell is this complete safety part come from. My farmer dies regually but it doesnt bother me either. The safety of a farming toon comes from the fact that the toon is 50 and debt is irelavant.

    [/ QUOTE ]

    You sometimes get defeated?

    It's true, fire/kin sucks. Ill/TA FTW.

    [/ QUOTE ]

I'm so positive about blasters beat trollers in dmg that I won't use any of my /nrg or /elec blappers, but my full aoeish fire/fire to show you my single target damage beats your illu/ta by a tremendous gap anytime when I'm back on feb 10th if you like

    Not good blasters

    [/ QUOTE ]

Any blasters. Quite easily (and without any of this faceplanting nonsense). And dominators by a massive margin.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Oh cmon, you know as well as I do that's an utter lie
  7. Not good blasters... on the other hand, scrappers and even tankers outdmg bad blasters too
  8. Hmm I could say an empath is viable without stamina, but a mind/emp is kinda hairy if you ask me. You would only afford tk when RA is on, and keeping a big team comstantly buffed would ruin you end in seconds, let alone heals in tight teams, control powers and some toggles on like epic shield
  9. I would say 2). Rip off the hability to solo with an AT on a semi deserted game and you will see they will become quite rare

Any build would do for sirens, as it's a pvp where builds still don't really shine. Ofc for sirens only I wouldn't go em, but I was thinking about global pvp, not just an specific zone. Anyway I see your point, and I partially agree on the fact my points were aimed for min maxed pvp toons, but I think we start from different assumptions. Your point is that a hybrid build can do fine in pvp and in pvp, whilst my point is that a hybrid build means it's quite improvable for pve and for pvp. Both assuptions, imo, are correct, and you can have a jack of all trades, but that means it's ace of none

It would be ok's for PvP with 4 more jumps in cj and hurdle, one more taunt duration/recharge on taunt, dropped fighting pool for conceilment (stealth, GI and phase), and added permafrost, laser beam eyes and, for duels, conserve power. Anyway I'd always go /nrg for a pvp toon, and /stone as a far second choice and only for team pvp

And the fact that /elec has a lot of widely resisted smashing component, wheres energy protections are much less common... and /elec does knockback and /energy stuns

    [/ QUOTE ]

wait so electric is more resisted than energy... well last time i checked elec and nrg both do nrg damaga and nrg has more smashin damage in it that elec.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Then I'd prompt you to check again. /Elec has quite a bit more smashing than /nrg

    [ QUOTE ]
plus the first nrg attack is for knockback, and elec doesn't have much nockback does it??

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah it doesn't, well unless you forget havoc punch, lightning clap and thunder strike ofc

    [ QUOTE ]
plus nrg has all the benefits of stuff like power boost, boost range etc wereas elec is a bit less buff based and more attack damage based.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Actually no, /nrg has a more dmg and is less resisted than /elec. /nrg is based on buffs and /elec on mez (you can get end drain, stun, hold and immob out of it), but /nrg stuns with almost each secondary attack so...

Ice has dull pain and hibernate, which makes it by a huge gap the most survivable tanker in pvp
  14. FF and dark primaries get my vote

For instance, most damage-dealer toons with the Speed, Leaping, Medicine and Fitness pools can fare reasonably well in both PvE and PvP.

    [/ QUOTE ]

But that would mean wasting some precious power slots on a second travel power, let alone skipping aoes and focusing on single target attacks if you wanted a PvP spec

    [ QUOTE ]
Similarly, a Fire/ or Ice/ Tanker with Speed, Leaping and Fitness could fare perfectly well

    [/ QUOTE ]

Ice defenses are worthless in PvP. In fact, you want EA slotted 3 rech 3 endmod for pvp, whilst for pve you want 3 defbuffs instead. You need to slot acc on taunt, and have it 6 slotted too, and need permafrost. Besides fighting pool, that is so cool for pve should be replaced, most likely by concealment, which is also a waste for pve. Attacks, you just want single target as said, so in order to have a good pvp build you should skip each and every aoe you can get, and epics, there's no more options than getting FA (forget about fire epics aoe goodness)
  16. The build still works for pvp. Of course it was pre inventions, so it can be improved a lot these days, but I'd still get the same powers but, prolly, mako's epics since toggle drop nerf in water sprout... but thing is, what's the point of playing a stalker in PvP after stealth IOs? Hardly a challenge atm

Nothing like good old energy melee for pvp tanks. Lightyears away I'd go stone, only for the hold. Getting aoes gimp your build tho, there is not such thing as 'hybrid' builds for pve and pvp in this game. A good build for the first means a gimped build for the latter
  18. Great tf guys, sorry I was late. Nice to have completed it in one hour and a half, and i missed playing a lil bit leroy jenkins on my scrappie after being levelling squishies lately
  19. Id always get TF, even if its only because it stuns bosses with one hit, and its great dmg too, despite the long lasting animation

Yeah, was your /Ice tank I think, cant remember the primary off hand but do remember the name *snigger*

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yeah it was my ice/ice tank ^^ and the name rocked
