I responded the only way I knew how: An Orbital Strike. Somehow inside of Mot, but orbital nonetheless.
  2. $300 total not counting my yearly subscription fee (I only buy points in 100 dollar intervals).

I think I might buy Staff and I know I'm buying Retro Sci-Fi when it comes out, but other than that, not much (maybe the new super packs or something).

They're level 54 seedlings similar to the ones in First Ward, of a toned down variety (Malignant Seedlings are basically Solo seedlings - they don't have any Debuffs or Debilitating Red Text Events. Basically think of them like thug seedlings that attack and do nothing else).

This is because you are trading the Knockback/Knockup of Propel/Lift for additional damage (the KB protection Gravity Distortion grants is completely secondary to it's hold).

Two thoughts. First, I take it you haven't fought Diabolique in Dark Astoria yet. (She runs away and the -range on confront would be helpful).

Two, I know how the devs can get EVERY character with Confront/Taunt available to take and 6 slot their taunt power - bring out a Purple Taunt set with a positional defense bonus.
    Something like:
    2: 16% Regen
    3: 3% HP
    4: 5% S/L, 2.5% Melee Defense
    5: 10% Recharge
    6 5% AoE, 2.5% F/C Defense

24 hours later (the servers crash due to every level 50 Scrapper respecing at once), problem solved.

(Edited because I had a brainfart and forgot that Fire/Cold, not Energy/Negative, was paired with AoE defense.)

My Crab doesn't have his Disruptors, does that count? (Tough+Weave+Leadership and Hover meant no room for them, either slot or power-wise)

SR gives up one of it's passives, meaning it gets a little less Defense Debuff Resistance (Even with T4 Agility, a Stalker only gets 86.4% DDR compared to a Scrapper reaching 97% Before Alpha is even factored in) and they also get 2/3s the scaling resistance that the Scrapper gets.

EA gives up two powers and gains one. I'm not going to touch Disrupt because it seems terrible on paper (the end drain alone makes it unusable in my book) so instead I'll compare the other differences.

Kinetic Dampening gives the same Smashing/Lethal/Negative/Toxic Resistance of the two passives brutes/scrappers get, and it gives the same slow resistance found in Energy Protection. What stalkers don't get is the end drain resistance and approximately 5 and a half percent energy resistance.

On the other hand, while hide gives much larger defense/stealth radius than Energy Cloak prior to engaging enemies, it gives a fraction of that once you engage the enemy. As a result Energy Aura Brutes were ironically more survivable than Energy Aura Stalkers because they did not draw additional aggro because their Stealth power remained active.

Of course, considering EA started out as a Stalker set and was ported to Brutes because Ice Armor didn't work out in CoV Beta, it's more like the Brutes got a couple extra things rather than stalkers cutting things out.

Both of those characters weren't in real danger of defeat, but the fight was a stand still.
Exit mission. Reset mission (to prevent uber bi spawning in meantime). Go to Mender Roebuck (He's, like, FIFTEEN FEET AWAY). Buy reds. Buy More Reds. Place in Email if you have a REALLY bad secondary. Engage fight with Trapdoor - consume reds (If you Do NOT have the +5% insp bonus, that's 16 to cap or 12 if you want build up to matter - I like to go 10 so I can pop a second round of insps).

Engage Trapdoor (Addendum - if you lack KB protection bring a couple Break Frees instead of a complete tray of Reds). After 2 seconds, he has 1 bifurcation - after 15 seconds he's down.

Next mission! (And something resembling a challenge!)

Television? Considering it DOES have a praetorian counterpart (H.D.), I doubt it considering all TV does is interfere with those who watch it.

What about a + 1 or +2 Empathy character on MoM? Would they be considered if they were willing to play support only (including acting as buff-bots for Aurora)? (I don't disagree with your logic, just wondering if there are special circumstances that cause exceptions)

My Other question is why doesn't TPN carry this restriction? From what I've seen it's just as punitive to unshifted characters (complete with a +2 AV).

I saw the mob start to attack me/do a wind-up type of animation but didn't move because, "meh, I've seen all their attacks" and just wasn't really paying attention/not caring since I could heal the damage done or was close to holding the mob (I think it was an EB).

The next thing I know, BOOM! *dead* O_O It happened so fast but I think it was some sort of meteor that hit me or something...all I know is I've never seen it before and haven't seen it again. Whether that's because I ignore most mobs when solo or the mobs die too fast to use it...

It was really sweet looking...and did A LOT of damage (basically one hit me...I know I didn't have full health but still heh).
My Controller got hit by said power... for 250 damage. And that was one time out of 5 since I had such high defense.
  14. I used to do it redside - it was faster than street sweeping to 2. Now however, the Giant Shivan segment takes upwards of 5 minutes and that's time better spent powerlevelling.
  15. My DM/EA Brute went Eradication ADER/ADR/AR/DR. My Fire tanker might go that way but he's only got a basic 1acc+ 3rech so far.

Um... There are only two times my Brutes hit their damage caps - either with 2+ Kins in play (usually only on trials) or by chomping a tray of reds - in which case I'm farming. Is it really that big an issue that I can chomp 2.5 times the number of reds to cap for farming purposes?

As an aside - I think any defense based set should give more Defense Debuff resistance to tankers than Brutes.

Uh... all 3 of my Brutes have already/ are going to take taunt. The only one who might not is the Staff Fighting, and I'm not sure if I'm rolling a Brute or a Scrapper in that case.

I could've sworn people were apathetic about the set because the set isn't very good. And considering the LAST pay set (Demon Summoning) is in the short list for best, that's a problem.
  24. I'm going to roll a Dual Pistols blaster, get him to 10, and give him both Maelstrom Pistol recipes for his costume.

Once given, I'm going to delete him to troll the market.

It'll probably prove more entertaining than PLAYING the set (and I got a Grav/Psi dom to 50 BEFORE any buffs, so I know something about squeezing enjoyment out of underpowered sets).
