Except that many bugs DO get reported, multiple times, with multiple methods (/bug submissions, Beta forum threads, PMs directly to devs), and those bugs still make it to live.

    Just a thought, y'know.
  2. ...Is that Gary Oldman as Hugo from the movie Devil Doll???
  3. The devs have been pushing buggy issue releases/non-Issue game updates for pretty much the entire lifetime of the game, why would you expect anything different?

River gave the Doctor the rest of her regenerations in order to save him. I have to think that's going to come back into play at some point.

Kalina is like 10 steps away from where you first spawn at level 1, and Arbiter Diaz is on the ground outside right next to one of the doors.

The developers hear this and make a completely new lowbie experience, getting rid of the old missions because hey, players said they were boring and they needed to move things 'forward' in lore anyway.

Group Y, who had heretofore been invisible because they were happy with the status quo and weren't paying much attention to complaints, gets upset that the story arcs they liked are gone and begin to complain.

Developers crack open their fourth bottle of Jack that morning.
Group Z, who likes that's there's new content but dislikes that there's fewer options available than in the old content.

I mean, the "Why Super Packs Are A Bad Idea" thread was launched within minutes of them being announced, making this the biggest, fastest, and possibly most controversial snap judgement there's been in CoHF for a long time. I've been aware this whole time that the general sentiment had the power of a speeding locomotive, and that my asking for a moment for us to examine WHY there's been so immediate and passionate an outcry against them is roughly like me standing in front of that locomotive and holding out mhand in hopes of getting things to slow down and be more rational.

I knew this, and did it anyways, so now having done so, I'll fade out and hope I've started the ball rolling on a discussion about the WHY's of the for and against on Super Packs. Because I think it's a valid concern, and hopefully this could help all of us out in the future.
There's no snap judgment here. Many people do not want to be forced to gamble in order to obtain what they want in this game. End of story. Yes, it's "only a game", but it's a thing I happen to enjoy and when someone takes something I enjoy and turns it into something I don't enjoy, well, then I get a little cranky.

Stop discounting people's opinions just because you disagree with them. It's obnoxious.

They didn't revamp the content, they completely redid it. What we're asking for is having the old arcs updated with new tech and mission design.
  10. I'd like to see origin arcs return too, revamped obviously since the original arcs are complete garbage, but at least something to give the low-level game some variety.

  12. As the person who started the 1300 post thread, I take full credit for this change.

Seriously though, I'm glad to see that all of our feedback has been well-received. I'm still concerned about costume exclusivity, but based on the change to ATOs I'm confident you'll find some way to put a reasonable asterisk next to the word "exclusive". I like Samuel_Tow's idea of putting the sets on the market but delay release beyond their first appearance in the Super Packs. Okay, "like" is a bit of a strong word, but it's acceptable enough. I like the "immediate purchase availability for VIPs, frees/preems can only get them in Packs" idea even better, but I'm not holding my breath for that one.

Edit: No torches and pitchforks here...yet.

    Another good name is Moleculo.

Castle is the name of a former dev on CoH, so if you're planning on making this character in-game that won't work (his NPC is in-game as a trainer in Peregrine Island).

Following your other idea, Dela-Q would work, representing change in heat.

Dark Control will be free to VIPs.

    Triple Point

    Heat Death

Molecule Man is the only mainstream non-cosmic character I'm aware of who possesses those abilities as their main and regular power.

    Titan Weapons

I'd assume so. At any rate, they're not free for VIPs.

I'm not sure the devs have ever fully considered how far the playerbase would go to game any of their systems (see: every exploit ever). To a certain extent this is impossible, but sometimes I feel like the devs suffer from myopia in this regard.

So, here is the big question. I do not like my nuke at all. Targeted AoE. Fine. I like that. Damage. I'm outdamaging it now with my single targets and stuff because it is underslotted. If I need a big AoE, I got my judgements. Wiping out all my endurance meaning I have to recast all my buff. Not a big fan of.

For an electrical blast corrupter, would you say snipes over nukes? Snipes I might at least get some use out of.
Get Ageless Destiny, you will love your nuke.

But again, that was before the invasion. It should be noted that only Tyrant is actually an Incarnate, the reason his lieutenants are so powerful in the trials is because Tyrant has granted them Incarnate-level power.

  24. Those are the worst. Newer outdoor maps have a sewer gate or a truck or something. I find the best way to deal with these though is to get the NPC on one side of the square, then quickly run/fly around to the other side. If you do it fast enough they'll run towards your end position in a straight line rather than following your path, so they end up going through the square.
