Never underestimate the ability of a large community to persist false truths.

The devs never said power customization couldn't be done. They said it would take a lot of work and more resources than they previously had available. The dev team used to be 15 people. Now it's what, 45 or something? Do the math.

Maybe you're thinking of the Paragon Dance Party becoming Pocket D?

Fine for new players, maybe, but it sure as hell gets old mighty quick, ESPECIALLY when someone bright spark put the Hospital right at the bass ackwards side of Mercy, which really grates when your missions are in Upper Mercy >.<
You think that's bad, when CoV first came out Kalinda and Mongoose were it. Burke and Doctor Creed were added later.

Personally, I'm not sure if I'd do any other low-level villain content. I could do Doctor Creed's missions forever, I love smacking down Doctor Geist and blowing up Infected.
  6. The ones in Sharkhead, however, are coming from the Sharkhead branch of the Monkey Fight Club. Try the door across from Mr. Ansaldo (or the door near the Cage Consortium truck across from the nearby Quartermaster).
  7. Hm, looking at it again, this is a really awful time. Many East Coast players will be eating dinner at 6.

Same thing happens to me on the Western end of Sharkhead Islke, near the Coal.

I -could- turn up my gamma or brightness, but then I get blinded when I play heroside or exit to my desktop.

That's an issue with your computer or your eyes (not criticizing, some people have different sensitivities). I can see my character fine without squinting or alternately being blinded on both hero and villain sides.

On the original topic, I've been saying for a while now that blueside needs to be revamped. I just had a contact in Steel Canyon send me to talk to a Hero Corps Rep. In Kings Row. The contact network/mission progression needs serious pruning. I know GR is supposed to "reinvigorate the low-level experience", but I doubt a boxed set is going to fix any existing content, just introduce new content, which will likely be worthless to any (low-level) character who chooses not to switch sides.
  11. I can toss a bunch of Robots at it.

It seems that any contact you haven't been introduced to will sent you off to the Architect (most of them, anyway). Sets a very bad precedent and is probably a small part of the rampant AE-exclusive teaming we've been seeing.
  13. No team leader.

What kind of cookie do I get?
  14. I'd.

EDIT: To clarify, this was in reference to redside raids. It was supposed to quote Chickenmilker's post, I screwed something up.

...Mainly because the game will probably be dead by the time I get another 31 months of Vet months.

I was thinking more like the introduction to the AE tutorial. Totally optional but it lets you know that it's there.

    /lastguy

I have a sinking feeling that they'll eventually do this, but only as a future Veteran Reward.
  19. Currently, when you hit levels 20, 30 and 40, you don't receive any indication that you've earned the ability to open up another costume slot. These days we get unlockable contacts automatically introduced to us as we unlock them, this should also occur for Serge, the Facemaker, and other tailors with costume slot missions, as well as the City Representative for capes and auras (villains already have their cape/aura contact unlocked by default).
  20. On this like stink on cheese. My /Dark MM should aid greatly.

Apparently the forum software doesn't like empty-quoting. I am quoting a previous post of yours for humorous effect. Such a quote speaks for itself, and thus it requires no additional text, however the forum appears to disagree, so I'm tacking on this long-winded explanation of why I have responded to your post with a quote from yourself.
  22. Still DCing like a mother. Had a horrible fit of lag earlier, it took me 4 attempts to get into the Vault (approaching the door each time), then when I went inside I jumped from the front desk to the back of the Vault. Rubberbanding FTL.

    Transferring

Server transfers are on a per-character basis and cost $10 per transfer. There's no bulk transfer.
  24. I like the badge minigame too, I just don't think it should require or encourage unchallenging behavior (AFK badge farming) in order to be successful.

The Ouroboros badges are an example of a good set of badges. There's a lot of them, and they're tough to get (last night I slogged my way through a couple 1-14 arcs, it was torture), but the only way for you to get them is to work through them. That's a challenge I appreciate (even if I do start hurling obscenities at the screen...). Taking 10 million trillion damage? Defeating 10,000 Flying Dingus Minions? Not so much.

It's a training simulator. Keyword training. It's an experience.

Not that I disagree with the original sentiment. XP should have never factored into it.
