    Your PlayNC and CoH account names may also be different, make sure you're using your CoH account name, not your PlayNC account name.

    I don't understand the first part of your post, but am going to recommend you put your game-peen away as I am not impressed by such things. I was jokingly suggesting that I would get Recall Friend in order to port my team judge into certain doom.

    Re: the second part, yeah, I've been a little confused about this myself. Where exactly are these sign-ups happening? Will teams be assigned or are we expected to come to the event with a pre-formed team of 7 (room for a judge)?

    I thought it was Klop. Unfortunately I don't seem to have screenshots from that, but I do one demonstrating similar shenanigans.

  9. I've been using DarkGob for almost 12 years now since my days on AOL (my AIM info gives me an account creation date of October 24th, 1997). I use it pretty much everywhere, although unfortunately there are a few outlier DarkGobs out there who are giving me a bad name...

    Trivia: Eventually my parents canceled the AOL account DarkGob was attached to, I think about 6 years ago. Or they tried. They just refused to let us go. Eventually they stopped paying, but AOL kept giving us "a free month, just in case you change your mind". Eventually my dad outright canceled the credit card he had been using for the account, and that finally gave those losers the hint. The account was canceled, but I briefly lost access to my screenname, only to accidentally discover I had access again about a year later.

    It's been a long, crazy ride...

    This sounds a lot like the oft-requested City Vault, which has so far been held back by technical limitations. As I understand it, too much information is sent back and forth for the server to handle it without slowing down.
  15. Okay, you have a point there, but I really can't imagine why one would even need those challenge settings, it's already pretty easy to die on the ITF if you decide you want to die. Just wade into a group of Cimerorans (or Nicti) with all your powers off, die, have a Dark Miasma toon use Group Teleport to bring the team out, rez with Howling Twilight, lather rinse repeat.

    This. My Stone Armor Tanker isn't 32 yet and probably wouldn't be before such a change went through, I would hate to be robbed of the chance to turn into Giant Honkin' Rock.

    Yeah, but it also makes it harder to finish (never mind the time limit), which is part of the challenge. I can't imagine how buffing enemies and debuffing players could grant an unfair advantage to anything short of the most power-maxed super-tweaked co-op team possible in the game.
  19. They usually do reactivation weekends in conjunction with Double XP weekends. We're supposed to be getting another 2XP weekend next month, but that's only to make up for last 2XP weekend when some servers went down for most of the weekend.
  20. Just wanted to thank everyone who came together for the impromptu GM death panel tonight. We took out:
    • Adamastor
    • Babbage
    • Paladin
    • Lusca (with help from a second team)
    • Kraken
    • Eochai
    • Sally (incidentally)
    • Jack In Irons
    Sadly, we couldn't find Jurassik, so we were robbed of a clean sweep. Still, a total of 14 merits. Thanks again to everyone involved!

  23. I seem to have pinned down the cause, which is troublesome. At the time of the original problem, I had the Titan Network Tracker open. Closed it when I was done playing on Live for the night, then went back onto Test to check my graphics settings, etc, and everything was fine. Logged off, started up TNT, then logged back in. Sure enough, performance drop. Tried again with TNT open, but with CIT forced offline. Performance returned to normal.

    Can someone else verify? Is TNT known to have this effect with Test Server, or will I16 break compatibility with TNT/Herostats?

    Also, I'm glad it's not just me that didn't see where the idea was in that.
