That's not what I was saying. A while back War Witch made a comment that there were some Easter Eggs in RWZ that people still hadn't discovered. I've never seen anyone else mention this area so I thought she may have meant that. Also, I don't see how a Master of LGTF badge equates to an undiscovered Easter Egg, so I disagree with that conclusion.

I'm thinking you probably intended this for Comics and Hero/Villain Culture, but that's meeting you more than halfway.

Quote:You're upset because the devs didn't personally warn you that you would have issues running the game? If only we had been given a preview of I17...some sort of Server where we could Test everything and make sure it was working right...the crashes and bugs that came with this issue that tons of people are now having. what really gets me is how i was fine the day before issue 17..one day really does make a difference
yeah its great alright!
shouldnt we have been warned about these things?..that way if i have to keep crashing i wouldnt have bought gr preorder yet and waited till they fixed it.
feeling really ripped off at the moment ..thanks cox! from a 6 years customer!
Back on topic (what?! threads can be un-derailed???), consider me suitably impressed with the new tech utilized in the redside arcs (haven't done anything blueside yet). Decisions and consequences, what happened after the final battle (huge holy crap moment; shades of an old school Nintendo franchise), what happened in the final mission (yesssssssss).
In short -- more like this please. I know it's a ridiculous pipe dream but it would be awesome to see some legacy content updated (however slowly) to utilize some of this new tech where appropriate. I haven't done it yet, but I know that the new Posi TF uses it, and that's a Good Thing. There's definitely a number of arcs redside that could use the decision mechanic where it could be dropped in pretty seamlessly, since some of those arcs actually do allow you a choice on some level (i.e., destroy the generators or not).
And hey, Calvin Scott TF in Ouro? Pretty please? -
Check out the Base Jumper badge in RWZ (the badge isn't hidden but it's near the entrance to a hidden area). Unless War Witch wasn't referring to that hidden area, in which case I have no idea what she meant.

Quote:Then report them. Harassment is against the EULA.It literally has gotten to the point that this friend in question is being called names and publicly at that because the person has been on so many attempts in the last few months. I'm not being silly about this. The level of poor sportsmanship that these badges bring out is just wrong for the game.
Am I missing something about the situation that's difficult? (GMs sitting on their hands and doing nothing after several reports would qualify as a "yes" to that question, but that's about it.)
P.S. PvP encourages the exact same behavior you describe, and it's a lot more pervasive. Guess PvP should be removed too. -
Absolutely terrified to encounter 8 of my Dark/Dark Brute. 8x Oppressive Gloom = perma-stun, 8x Death Shroud ticking away at me.
Exactly which powers to the Dopplegangers get anyway? -
There's been a pretty big oversight on Dopplegangers running Dark Armor -- their costumes are invisible with Cloak of Darkness on! This has gone from being a story about a clone of me to being a story about some shadowy dude. Any chance we could get this power graphically modified or otherwise revoked for DA Dopps?
Pwetty pwease? -
Don't forget about the Razzle Dazzle: Chance to Immob proc if you're going to be running Oppressive Gloom. It won't keep everyone in place all the time but it should keep enough of them there (sadly there is currently no visual effect that enemies are immob'd by this proc).

Quote:I think the lesson here is that you should find people to play with who aren't jerks. Same as in real life.Server transfers should NEVER be the solution to any problem the game has with teaming. To say it should be is completely wrong and is missing the point.
I've never encountered Mo badge elitism. Yes, a PUG will need a dynamite Tank on even a regular STF (it's the hardest TF in the game for a reason). Yes, there are some "recommended ATs/powersets" for certain tasks that make them a lot easier. I've never had anyone ask me what my slotting is.
My Elec^3 Blaster has MoSTF and doesn't have MoITF or Mo5th mainly because I don't like playing him (but he's my blueside badger, bless him) -- he certainly hasn't suffered from any discrimination. And no, he's not purpled out, nor does he have any PvP IOs. Hell, his build isn't even complete! It's missing enhancements in the later powers (mostly the APP powers IIRC) and it's missing the first 2 melee attacks from Electricity Manipulation (I didn't level with this build...gonna respec eventually). If I can get on and complete a MoSTF with this character, any character can do it. (Maybe not a casual player, but hell, even a regular STF is tough to run casually.)
My point is this -- you are being silly. -
Dunno about balance but this is an awesome idea.
-
The new badge names and descriptions are quite nice. I think my favorite is the description for Flying Shark -- I don't want to spoil it but it's an awesome mental image of a battle that I wish we could see recreated in-game.
-
All the information you need about what powers are capable of is available in-game, visible when you select powers or enhance them.
-
Is your damage actually being buffed, or are you just seeing the icon? Also I don't know how it works for Controller pets, but for Mastermind pets you can pull up their Combat Attributes from the pet window.
-
I won't get home until half an hour before it ends, believe me I haven't forgotten.
-
Only other thing I'd add that I wasn't sure about in my previous posts that I just checked -- the game client does need to be restarted completely in order for changes to register, you can't sit at the login screen.
Last ditch effort -- complete computer restart. I doubt that would help if nothing else is but it's always worth a shot. -
No, I was kind of unclear on when exactly you made the changes but now I see it.
If you were logged out, I really don't know what else could be wrong. Your first macro attempt (/macro Dark "popmenu Sanstone") should work. In fact, I just tried it with your file in-game and it worked. So *shrug*. -
Keep in mind the game won't register any changes you make to .mnu files while you're in game, you have to log out and log back in.
Other than that I can't think of what else you might be doing wrong. -
Make sure you're showing all file extensions in Windows. The first few times I had issues with popmenus, it was because the filename was "filename.mnu.txt", but Windows was only displaying "filename.mnu". Took me a few times of experiencing this and figuring out what was wrong before my stupid brain actually memorized this fact.

Your forum code is certainly broken, if nothing else. (Curse you, you fixed it while I was writing this!)
This was suggested a few weeks ago, IIRC. Can't actually find it, but I thought I'd throw that out there in case anyone else can.
As to the idea -- I'm split. I certainly wouldn't call it game-breaking, but even as a badger I don't like the idea of transferring badges. 99% of the badges you have on a character you're deleting can be reobtained eventually. The anniversary badges can't, and yeah it's a shame you'd lose those, but that's a trade-off for deleting your character. Want to keep them? Don't delete the character. It's pretty simple. As for losing all your hard work? You're losing all the work you put into leveling the character anyway. Sucks that you leveled a character that you didn't like. I'm not too fond of my very first toon (who is also my hero badger), he's an Elec/Elec Blaster and he sucks on toast. But he's my badger, and he's 50, so I'm keeping him.
TLDR: /unsigned for purely philosophical reasons. -
I have to disagree with you, Furio. It's impossibly for a chance to be below 0.
Anyway, yeah, just roll an alt dude. It's not difficult. I'm planning to roll an Elec/Shield eventually who will use the exact same costumes as my Bots/Dark. Sadly my 36 month free slot is name-camping a toon I have planned for GR, so without paying for another slot I have to wait for my 2 free slots from GR and can't create any other toons on my home server until then. Such is life. Fortunately I've got a bunch of other alts I can play. -
Quote:Well sure, in the same way that every character with a hood looks like The Spectre.Wouldn't using Spectre possibly get him Generic'd? He looks kinda similar to The Spectre.
He'd only get genericed if someone made the connection and somehow thought it was intentional (it pretty clearly isn't). Even then, a GM is still the one who makes the decision, /petitions aren't autohit. And even then, I'm thinking he could probably appeal (although I'm not sure how much leeway there is with that, having never been genericed, unfairly or otherwise).
I like Ghastly Spectre/Specter, myself. -
If you can't find it, odds are it's not ready yet.

Since never. Borg 0001 is probably thinking about the ability to customize the colors of the Mastermind pets as enemies in AE (along with other mob types).
