    Meh, I started it, it's my work to do, but there are two things that people could help me with.

    Once I've got the update done, if people could go through and check the placement into genres (action, comedy, etc) and maybe make some suggestions for what to move them around (if at all), I'd appreciate it. There's quite a few that I have no idea what to list them as. I think I'm going to have to split up Action & Drama.

    And if there's ones that fall into that 'adult' category that shouldn't be here that I might've missed.

    Ok, updates...

    I've spent about 4-5 hours working on them offline. There were, so far, about 42 pages of printouts (done through 10/24) of stuff to go through - it's easier than tabbing back and forth between programs/windows. There's more printing though. I've made the +/-'s to the list on paper, but I need to type it up and get it on here. That'll probably happen tomorrow, as I'm starting to get a headache from going through it.

    I'm the creator of the list. I just haven't gotten around to updating it, because I'm a procrastinator. But it will get done. FotNS wasn't on it because it's not on my shelves. The original list was compiled mostly from the stuff I have seen on tv and/or own.

    There will be no H-titles. Don't bring them up. There is no place for those here. Words to that effect were spoken by Castle. Don't argue it. Don't care if they are 'classics'. Just accept it.

    You can't mean Tenchi in Tokyo.

    That was just plain horrible and should be stricken from the universe.

    The only Tenchi series that were, are Tenchi Muyo (the original 12 ep OVA), Tenchi Universe (the 26 ep tv series), Tenchi Muyo: Ryo-Ohki (the follow up to Tenchi Muyo), and Tenchi Muyo: GXP (another 26 ep series following Seina Yamada set in the Tenchi-verse).

    Well, I tried going after the ToT defeat badges on a lvl12 SoA simply because of the extra day.

    They utterly beat me down. Between the DoTs, the damage not really scaling appropriate to the level, and the bosses, I have zero desire to try again this year. It got to the point where I was only doing the doors in the vicinity of the Port Oakes hospital, since I knew I'd be ending up back there soon enough anyways.

    For a Crone, I would end up going through an entire tray of greens and STILL be in the orange-red zone of health when she was defeated (if I got lucky).

    Please fix that for next year.

    Ya, who thought that putting Boss spawns in for sub-level 10 solo characters was a good idea?

    Nothing quite like my level 4 Warshade spawning an orange con Vampire Lord.

    That definitely needs to go. No bosses for solo characters.

    A few things now that it's essentially over...

    1) Bring back decent Treat rewards for Trick or Treating. A Tier 1 insp is NOT a good reward...for anything other than a mob defeat. It just isn't. While I can understand not wanting to give out Tier 3s, the simple fact is it's a limited time frame. In such a situation, a Tier 3 would not be out of line.

    2) The banners. Oh boy, the banners. They need to scale. They need to be able to be taken down by a single group, for the low population servers. I've been in a full team that, 10 minutes after the banners start spawning mobs, they STILL aren't vulnerable. And if they get vulnerable? Impossible to take down all four and get the GM. Lucky if you get one or two, in such a scenario.

    3) The GM. WAAAAAYYYY too squishy for an encounter that has a 20 minute timer. Combine that with idiots who can't understand, "Wait for everyone" and you have potential for a lot of people to get very mad.

    4) The overall timer. It has taken an average of about six minutes (on Protector, in the times that I've been doing it) to get the banners vulnerable. That means you need to average better than about 2.5 minutes per banner to get the GM to spawn. Now, that is an extremely short amount of time when you factor in travel distance in places like IP or the Hollows. Compare that with the 20 minutes simply for the GM spawn. About the longest I've seen the GM stay up is roughly 2 minutes. Finding him isn't that hard that it'll take 15+ minutes. There needs to be more time on the Banner timer or they need to be a bit squishier.

    5) Please, for the love of doG, put in a streakbreaker for Jack-in-Irons spawn! If he hasn't spawned randomly in 9 Eochai spawns, tell the system to spawn a Jack.




    To sum up...Treat rewards are too little, timers are not good, the banners need to be squishier and the GM needs to a tougher, and put a streakbreaker in the Jack spawn.

    Hello again all. Got a non-Co* related question for ya.

    I've got a Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro joystick from WAAAAYYYY long ago (for frame of reference, it came packaged with a copy of Mechwarrior 2). Problem is, there's no port on my current comp that it'll fit into. I've really got a hankering to replay X-Wing and Tie Fighter, and don't think any new joysticks will work as well as that thing did for them.

    Is there an adapter or something that I could get that'll work for it? I'm not sure what 'type' of connection it is, other than it has a total of 10 pins w/two rows. 'Top' row (based on lettering up/down) consists of 8 pin holes but only 6 actual pins. 'Bottom' row consists of 7 pin holes but only 4 pins. I believe the shape of the connector would 'trapezoidal'.

    Yes, I know this question is highly technical and littered with industry terminology...

    Don't go too high of level though. Depending upon your character, you may end up dropping from the DoTs and such.

    I think my Blaster was able to use a yellow con Sapper, but not sure on that. I know it's not redside, but its a metric nonetheless.

    The whole Jack spawn thing could be fixed with a simple streakbreaker code insertion. If Jack hasn't spawned within 10 or so Eochais, then spawn a Jack.

    *shrug*

    Why they haven't put one in, after what? 3 years now? I'll never know.

    On the upside, at least the ToT-Ghost spawn rate was fixed.

    Haven't read everything, but am I the only one that finds the Aspect to be decidedly squishy? Especially when comparing it to the banners.

    So far, I've seen the GM a grand total of three times. All three times, he's at about half life by the time most of the people get to him, which isn't that long. Was denied the badge on one character, barely got it on the second, and was lucky enough to help the third team get it. One Scrapper was enough to do serious damage to him.

    Combine that with the people who can't understand the concept of 'Wait for everyone who participated in taking down the banners' and you have a recipe for mad players. Even more so when a full team, unless it's staffed with a Rad or a Kin or some other debuffers, can't manage to take down one banner, much less all four, in the time frame allotted and consider themselves bloody lucky to see the GM and have a very limited chance of getting the badge.

    All in all, I like the concept, but the execution leaves something to be desired.

    Edit - For example, just tried a Banner spawn with a group of 6 scrapprs, 2 blasters and a defender. I think there were at least one or two others. It took about 8 minutes to get that banner down. Those banners are way too tough (too many HPs and stats) and the GM is way too squishy.

    There's a happy medium in there somewhere, but what the settings are currently at, isn't...good, IMO.

    Transfer to Protector. Team with me. Farm the maps so I can get Leader. I only need about 350 million on my hero and probably 400 million on my villain.

    It's for everyone, but recognizing that this is a Teen/Family rated forum, as such I don't believe that titles that are essentially porn, which Urot is, belong on it. It would be no different than telling people which RL-porn titles they should watch in a thread about movie/tv series recommendations.

    Offending sensibilities is fine. Since some titles, such as Code Geass and Ranma 1/2, contain nudity, or titles such as Vampire Hunter D and Basilisk contain graphic violence.

    Outright porn is not.

    And no offense to you, but if rules for such bother you, feel free to not participate. And I fail to see how asking people to refrain from porn, to limit themselves to legally licensed and released material w/ the names that people could buy it as, and keeping the genres in their broad categories, is such an unbearable onus.

    Edit - The name thing comes from something like His & Her Circumstances. The Japanese title is, iirc, Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou, which is fine...if you know Japanese and are in Japan. Here, however, that title would get you a blank stare should you try to buy it. Or calling Ah My Goddess, Ah Megami-sama.

    Err, when I said, "Limit to one primary genre", I meant classify your suggestions as "action" or "comedy" rather than "mecha/comedy/romance" or something like that. Didn't mean to say that only suggest one genre.

    Also, please try to include the genre if you are making a new suggestion for addition.
