Did Kim ever end up coming to Eureka in the first place or whereever it was that her and Henry met? Didn't Fargo say that his girlfriend was somewhere else now and married?
  2. Not digging Zoe's new look. Too marked of a departure, IMO, from her previous look.

Have AI Marcian be this universe's Marcian and androgynous llama being a dimension hopper out slumming?

  5. Just made a really simple and quite tasty soup.

Chicken stock - either prepared or made from bouillion.
    3 leaves of bok choy
    6 green onions (scallions)
1/2 of a block of firm tofu

Do this bit a little ahead of time. Take your tofu out of the package, wrap in paper towels or tea towels and place an empty pan on top of it. This will help drain some of the excess liquid from the tofu.

Mix up your stock if using bouillion. Might want to make it a tad more dilute than the mixing instructions to reduce salt concentration. Heat the stock on medium to low.

Clean the bok choy leaves. Cut the green part of the leaves off of the main white stem - a simple triangle cut around the stem is sufficient, no need to remove the white veins. Place all leaves on top of each other and then roll into a tube. Slice down the center lengthwise. Cut perpendicular to that center cut so that you have ribbons of cabbage. Put cut leaves into the warming stock to soften.

Clean the green onions and remove the root end. Slice the white part up to just about where the leaves diverge. Put into the stock.

Cube the tofu once it's been drained. Wait until the stock is just about done to put in the tofu.

Voila. A quick and easy soup. I just made this and it didn't take more than about 15 minutes at most. If you want to "spice" it up a little, I found that just a bit of garlic powder and, surprisingly, just a touch of balsamic vinegar makes it really good. I liked it with the cabbage just a little bit undercooked so that there was a bit of a crunch to it.

To be fair, there is a marked difference between choosing to surrender your information and having it taken from you with no recourse.
  7. School Bites. Anime-type about a group of vampires. Main character is named Cherry Creeper. Very cutesy, perhaps overly so. Possibly might be NSFW in bits, can't recall the earlier stuff, but the current page has a SD-fied imp backside.

Scenes From A Multiverse. Very surreal. Kinda deep. Funny. Not too much there so far.

Bunny. Can't believe this one wasn't mentioned. Surreal. Funny. A classic.

Tie Interceptors, unless heavily modified, are not shielded. Nor do they have life support systems or hyperdrives. They are quite fragile, all things considered. Basically nothing more than the solar panels, the engine, avionics, and weapons. The Interceptor was, as its name suggests, built for speed and interception duties. Heavy armor would be a detriment to it.

Nah, I don't like leading. I don't like being responsible when the thing fails. I prefer to blame others.

Plus, I don't want to invite others into my SG & VG. I'd have to go and reset the permissions on all my bins and the overall permissions to make sure stuff doesn't walk off.
  10. Thank you for the responses re: the SG/VG membership thing. That was a big concern of mine in regards to the CoP. I've got a solo SG that my main hero created in '04. I'd hate to have to join another SG just to try the CoP.

Ok, thanks to you and Snow. Good to know as that was a major concern of mine re: switching.
  12. Is it necessary for all 24 (or however many) players to be in the same SG/VG?

So, it's more like you're "hidden" in the SG then? Or do you still show up in the SG roster?
  14. Question about going the full monty (namely going completely from Hero to Villain)...

Do you lose join date on your SG or VG? I only ask because my solo SG has my main character joining back in '04. I'd hate to lose that in the pursuit of a badge...

  16. Love Something Positive.

Bear Nuts. Extremely cute, very funny, very well drawn. Favorite bear is either Tanked or Evil.

The Zombie Hunters. Probably NSFW as it deals with violence and such in a post-apocalyptic zombie world.

Punch n Pie. Continuation of the author's previous comic (kinda), Queen of Wands. Quite funny.

Elephant garlic is closer to a leek than true garlic. As for garlic itself, the larger the clove, the milder the flavor..

I also use that roasted garlic to make garlic butter. Take some softened butter, put it in a food processor, and then add in the roasted garlic, pulse or whatever until you get it to the consistency that you want. You can add a variety of things like dried herbs, dried chilis, etc., to make flavored butters. They freeze quite nicely and can last for quite a while.

That's the thing about pickled garlic, it doesn't really have that strong of a smell or taste. If anything, I taste the vinegar and pickling agent a lot more than the garlic itself.

Also, you should try roasting garlic. What you do is you take a head of garlic (whole head, unseparated cloves), cut the top off (so that the cloves are exposed and cut) and drizzle olive oil on it. Sprinkle some sea salt and optionally, fresh ground pepper (not a lot). Get a flat baking pan lined with aluminum foil. Place the heads cut side down on the foil. Bake at 400 for about 30 minutes.

When the garlic is roasted it turns very sweet and not at all like the fresh garlic smell. You can spread the cloves on bread or mix them in with mashed potatoes.

Pickled garlic is awesome. I can eat about 15-20 cloves at a time, if it's pickled. Nothing extra, just the cloves.
  20. Ya, it's a pretty simple recipe. There's been times that I've roasted an ear of corn, either on the grill or over the flame on the stove, and cut off the kernels and added to the salsa.

I'm a very...organic...cook. I almost never "measure" stuff, nor do I add the same stuff every time. How the recipes end up tasting is a measure of the feeling of the day.

Granted, there are times that measuring is necessary, like making dough or the like.
  21. I've done a similar salsa, but much simpler, IMO.

1 tomato - diced and seeded (remove that jelly goop in it, easily done by slicing off the stem end, pushing a finger down into each of the cavities, wiggle a bit, then rinse it out. Just make sure the finger is clean. )

1/4-1/2 an onion - I prefer red, but yellow or white will work too

    dash of salt

    pepper optional

sugar - amount varies. I'm not usually one that measures stuff out, but probably no more than a teaspoon's worth at most

    1 tsp of lime juice

    dried cilantro to taste

Mix all ingredients lightly, just enough to get the salt and sugar passed around. The salt will draw a bit of water out of the tomatoes, diluting the lime juice and helping with the dissolution of the sugar. Don't mush the tomatoes down. It's a chunky style salsa that is to me, very refreshing. No heat to it, but is very nice chilled. The seeding removes quite a bit of the watery material.

It is kinda tacky looking. Maybe some glitter to provide a distraction to the enemy. It definitely needs some bling on it though.

Edit - Love the kid's expression. Also notice that down on the clip it says, "Deadly Cute".
  24. It is my belief that this does not constitute an infringement of the no video game discussion rule as per theOcho and seeing as there is print media of the series:

Though how those could be useful if camo is necessary...maybe if it were raining unicorns?
