Sad face.
The NA publishing branch is closing. The only title that it affects for me is Sgt. Frog, but I'm way behind in the volumes to begin with. -
Ya, I'd rather have the Ashley, but Kate is...acceptable.
And John...just wow. He took another level in Badass. I could easily see him portraying a Chaos Marine and screaming, "BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!".
I was wondering how Helen was going to fix up the lava beastie. Kinda...convenient...the placement of the wound. Obviously, stitches wouldn't work, unless they are lava-proof. I would imagine Canaan is a lithovore, what with the tunnel digging. -
I would find it a lot funnier if every planet conducive to letting humans breathe on the surface without a respirator ends up looking like Canada...

Just a heads up. We get to see what happens after the cliffhanger of the team being suspended from electric restraints and facing a death sentence for entering the Hollow Earth zone.

Going to SDCC is one of the things on mah bucket list. Hope to actually get there some day, but I know right well that if I do, I'll need to rent a moving truck to get all the stuff that I buy to my house. >.<

I haven't watched the Negima!? redux, but have seen the original series. Started watching the Spring & Summer specials for it and my word...Setsuna is...blatant...over Konoka.

Bludgeoning Angel Dokuro-Chan - This is just one of those utterly weird series. Twelve episodes of Robot Chicken length (two eps per half hour). Manages to combine the Chunky Salsa Rule with a decent dosing of fanservice. Basically, the main character will in the future develop an immortality drug.
The catch? It stops women from aging physically past age 12...
Well, turns out the big guy in the sky doesn't particularly like that, so he sends an angel (Dokuro) back in time to...fix...the problem while the main character is still in high school. Namely by killing the main character.
Over and over and over again.
But, he gets rezzed every time Dokuro plays whack-a-mole with the giant spikey bat she uses.
I'm not sure if I can +1 it, but it was definitely surreal. Not on the level of FLCL surreal, but surreal nonetheless. -
Quote:What's there to be wrong about? You either get lucky to not have any ****-tards in your League or you have a group of people that you know and can relatively trust. They are horribly designed badges with far too much potential for griefing. Instead of one person being able to ruin a run for 7 others, they can now ruin a run for either 15 or 23 other people, as well as being a fair bit togher in determining WHO the offending party is that caused the failure. And it is, quite probably, only going to get worse when the next Trials are introduced.Like I already said:
Tell me, do you even entertain the notion that you might be wrong?
But please, continue to believe that just anyone can get it (with time and effort RAH RAH SIS BOOM BAH!) and that you are the pinnacle of rightness. I'm done. These badges killed the last shreds of enthusiasm I had for this portion of the game. -
Miss the part of "you get extremely lucky in not having any ******** in a PUG."? But ya, it's common to read only what you want to read to support your position.
-
Quote:And how many of those are ones with dedicated groups on the larger servers? You either have a group that you run stuff with regularly or you get extremely lucky in not having any ******** in a PUG. Of course, those with it tend to gloss over such trivialities...And yet a lot of people already have MoBAF, which requires coordinating 24 people. (shrug)
While I don't discount smaller server groups and PUGs, face facts and realize that coordinating 24 people to NOT do things like use the acid or pacification grenades or leaving the terminals alone is on par with herding cats (cats that resemble the people of Earth from the Gigantic Floating Brains episode of Futurama at that). And it's only going to get worse as someone will invariably get it in their head that 32, 40, and 48 man Trials need to have a Master Of badge.
But hey, don't worry about it since as tends to happens, once the new Trials come out, the old ones will be forgotten and pushed to the side. Because the ones who've got multiple slotted Purple Incarnate powers will be far too leet to be seen slumming on the previous Trials while they're busy unlocking and getting their new Purple. -
But Volkov (at least Alexei) is fun. He's pretty much a deconstruction of the classic Bond-type villain. He's also got class. Less of the "pew-pew" and more of the "let's have a nice breakfast and then we'll swap out your blood for acid and put you in the shark tank" type of villain.

A pre-nup is just smart planning. Should I ever be forced into the...joy...of marriage, I fully intend on having one. If marriage is a contract, then there's nothing wrong with having it in writing.
Also, Vivian = teh kewt. -
These sets of badges have officially killed my interest in badging. It was a fun (well, not really, but it kept me involved) 6.5ish years. What the 1 billion Empath, Day Jobs, and sundry other PITA tasks couldn't do, Master of BAF and Lambda did.
It's hard enough coordinating 8 people for a run at ITF (which, despite many many attempts still haven't gotten Master Of) or LRSF, for instance, but now they want to coordinate 16 and 24 people? That's just plain out and out stupid. I imagine they'll come up with something that'll require 48 people at some point for a Master Of badge. I'm done.
*claps hands* *shows palms and backs* Good luck to those still interested. -
What about that flamey guy? The one they dumped a load of sand or ash or whatever on? Did he actually die?
There's also the shapeshifter. Though her "death" seemed more like an accident than anything else (when she impersonated Jim and Josh was going to take care of the body). -
Quote:After watching Spartacus, I just can't watch her without thinking back to that show...I only "watch" this show as background noise while I play CoH since nothing else is on during it's timeslot. That said, did I see Lucy Lawless in an episode?!?
I'd give it another shot if she's gonna be a regular!
LL may always be Xena, but Lucretia is coming up a strong second. -
Just read on AICN that Bob's Burgers got another season, so more funneh coming!

Telford needs to make up his damned mind. Either on or off the ship. He was so gungho to get off of it and now he's gungho to go back.
-
I believe Aisha Tyler (sp?) is also on the cast. I think she was also a VA in the Halo games, but not sure.
I look at Archer as the what-could-have-been for Frisky Dingo, had [as] not royally screwed the pooch on renewing it. -
While watching Castle tonight, I came to a realization...
Molly Quinn would be a perfect Barbara Gordon Batgirl. About the right age, right hair color, etc. -
Given the results at the end and the lines of the other orderlies, it is very likely that the head orderly was using the girls in the sanitarium as his own personal harem. Also given the nature of the escapist fantasy, i.e. Babydoll imagining that the workers of the institute as the...customers...of the dance hall, that it wasn't limited to just the head orderly (or whatever that guy was).

I would pay lotsa dollars to see an Empowered movie...
