Quote:"Looking into" basically equates to: They are forming a committee to discuss the ramifications of leveraging team synergy into an action group to contemplate the possibility of at some point in the unspecified future meeting to brainstorm on the feasibility of adding a 1 in 1000 mob drop rate for Incarnate items.I believe last month's Producer's Letter contained vague language along the lines of "we've heard you about wanting solo options for Incarnate content and we're looking into it." So there's hope.

How much more of Epic Fail can this get? Was the physical security measure an unlocked screen door that was coming apart with a sign saying, "Please Don't Enter"?

The Funnybot episode was pretty meh after HumancentiPad. They can't all be gold. But I did like the fact that CC played both episodes wherein OBL got capped.
-
BAF was playable today. Lotsa power lag during the escapee phase, but the rest was a lot better.
Now, if only they could do something about getting 3 Uncommon drops in a row... -
Oh, me too. But things like Duke Nukem Forever, Fallout: New Vegas and a few other new games all require Steam. Then there's crap like C&C4 and StarCraft 2 needing to be connected and logged into accounts.
-
Suprisingly, I can play CoH and alt-tab out Firefox pretty easily. Just got done with a 24 person BAF and have 26 tabs open. Granted, CoH was running on pretty much min spec in terms of graphics.
Thing about those games that are more and more, is that they are either going Steam, which I loathe and won't use, or use SecuROM, which means they aren't getting on my computer.
I've been considering the new comp as a summer project. Doesn't have to be all bought at once. -
And had a question...
Is there any real reason to get a quad core processor? Or is a dual core enough?
I was looking over FatherXmas' builds and was just wondering about that. I don't do any SolidWorks stuff, I don't use Photoshop, I may play around with Poser at some point in the future just for fun but probably not.
New PC games are typically too loaded down with craptacular DRM to be something I wouldn't buy. Fallout 3, Oblivion, CoH, The Witcher, along those lines of games that I'm wanting to look/run super-good.
Right now, I'm using a 3GHz P4 w/HT, but it's nearing seven years old at this point and getting a bit long in the tooth. -
Why are hot dogs sold in packages of 10, yet hot dog buns are sold in packages of 8?

It would be nice if I could log in to that account and actually see the card I used for SWG. I think it's a different number, but can't be sure.

Moffat knows that we know that he knows that we know that he knows that putting River in the suit would be the entirely expected twist and therefore the twist that wouldn't happen.
Therefore, that is EXACTLY who is in the suit. -
Ya, saw that and *snerk*ed at it.
Also, that female spy? If you enjoyed her in this episode, check out Krod Mandoon and the Flaming Sword of Fire. She played Annika innit.
I could just hear the voice of Robot Chicken M. Night Shamalamawhatever going, "Whaaaat a twist!". -

It's not really high level AI. It's more like pattern recognition software. The ship refueled at <x> type of star in the past. It is not untoward to monitor nearby stars of <x> type. Extend the monitoring to stars of <x+1> and <x-1> to be sure. Or they don't even need to know that it refuels from such stars, but rather that it stops in systems containing such stars.
If it was high level AI, the drones would've figured that they gated in to that world. Between the first activation and that Morrison's idiocy, they could figure out where the gate was. Take out the gate and then you can mop up the remainder.
What bothered me was how durable that drone was. Greer took out one by himself, essentially, and that one was zooming around overhead. This one took combined, sustained fire from 3 weapons to finally go down.
And I liked how they handily mentioned the ammo situation..."We're running low on ammo.". "That's ok, Brody can make more.". -
Now I'm affected, potentially. Stupid SWG account.
(Granted, it's been several years since it was active.)

Quote:Ya, it was along the lines of the Doctor telling Nixon that Canton getting married would be a good thing. After DW left, Nixon asked Canton if she's black (remember the time frame, 1969, that would've been pretty scandalous, if not illegal). Canton responded that "Yes, he is.".No, I mean the character.
Early on, we're told Canton was forced out of the FBI because he wanted to get married.
In the last exchange between Canton and Nixon it's revealed he wants to marry a black man.
Nixon responded something like they've made enough upset with the aliens and doing anything more at that moment would be too much. Or something along those lines. -

Ya, that happened to me as well. Last Wednesday, did a mothership raid with a league. It was horrible, horrible lag for everyone involved. The various teams left the league and lag lightened considerably. There was still a lot of it, but it was a lot more manageable.

Quote:So...Amy is Haruhi Suzumiya?I'm still unclear on what Rory is. Amy 'reset' everything at the end of last season, so he should be human. But he has memories of waiting 2000 years for her, which means he's an auton.
Hey, this could be the source of the schrodinger fetus. Is Rory an auton or not? Amy might not have decided. That would determine whether or not he could sire a child. -
Was watching the Doctor Who In America special and it seems that the actress that plays River Song knows the entire arc. However, no one else in the cast does. So she really can do, "Spoilers!" and actually mean it.

Quote:Like how Brits think Americans are all cowboys and Americans think Brits prefer to boil their food until the flavor goes away!
These two episodes are wonderful examples of how culturally, Britain and the US are like two long-time friends who can poke fun at each other's quirks. In some ways, the story is a love letter to the homeland of the American fans.

Quote:Compare him getting shot in the back of the with him getting shot in the hands or his attempt to stop the train. He has a natural increased toughness to compensate for his super strength. But when he is concentrating on stopping or deflecting something, the increased toughness increases. He's got a combo of Unyielding Stance, Tough Hide, and Resist Physical, IMO.has nothing to do with concentration. He has a level of invulnerability that allows him to take x amount of force...Once that threshold is breached he takes damage. The amount of damage is lessened due to his entire body being invulnerable to the x amount so if a bullet hit his first layer of skin which can take 1000 pounds of force and the bullet is delivering 1010, the first layer of skin is broken but the second layer is still stopping it.
also he does have super strength...how could you think he doesn't?
