Depends upon how the ice was formed and whether or not there's any mineral content to the water as well as air bubbles. Ice from my fridge ice maker tends to come out cloudy and opaque, due to the fact the water comes from well water with a significant dissolved solids factor. Hailstones can also be rounded, not just spiky.

I don't know if I would go that far. But it is pretty telling that, what?, 4 months after going F2P, they STILL haven't managed to figure out a system that worked, for the most part, well enough for Vet Badges. And the fact that they can't seem to be consistent about date of award of anything anymore.

One by one, we all disappear. This forum is already a shadow of its former self.

Quote:Well, according to that I didn't, but I could swear I used the points I got on the 4th. However, in looking at it, not once (in the 90 day history) has the Paragon Points been deposited on my billing day (the first of the month). November 9th, December 7th, and January 4th. It's getting closer to the first though.Dark One: You can verify whether or not you got two batches of points by looking at the Billing section of the Account Management page. That, at least, they seem to be able to keep a correct log of. I haven't ever heard of that being wrong from the large number (possibly a hundred, possibly more) of people I've talked to about it.

Because right now, they have the incentive to NOT deliver the points on time. By not doing so, they "entice" you to purchase points. Or at least that's my take on it. I can think of no other reason, other than incompetence, as to why it has taken this long and still not been fixed adequately.
And for some reason it seems like I got an extra batch of points this month. Not entirely sure, but I thought I got some on the 3rd or 4th, used 'em and then when I logged back in last night, I had another batch of 550. I may be mistaken on the "used 'em" part though. -
Quote:They were both consenting adults that knew that it was not going to be a long-term thing. They both knew she was leaving, so they could have "fun" with no regrets.IMO: Jerk. He lied to her after all, and not for any sort of noble reason. Not that Padma is much better. Knowing she was leaving she had no call to start something up with Martin in the first place.
Quote:I don't think Padma was trying to sever ties the last few strips, I think she was legitimately busy getting ready to leave. For Martin to just lie to her like he did was just selfish and immature. Grow up Martin - go see her, say goodbye, suffer the heartache.
Sometimes being selfish is the best thing a person can do. She had no right to expect anything other than the response she got after her actions. I think he did grow up by not rewarding her bad behavior and treatment. -
Today's Questionable Content...Martin being a jerk or just doing what's best for both of them? I fall on the doing what's best side because they had their time and it was obvious she was doing her best to sever that tie before leaving. Seeing each other again would only bring it back.

Quote:You don't need to buy the regular Tier 9 stuff to get the Tier 9 VIP stuff. You can go right from T8 to it. At least, I've never bought anything in the regular Tier 9 and I have all the Celestial stuff.I still have one more Tier 8 slot to get before I can even grab Tier 9. I'm hoping to at least get a chance at some of the yummy Celestial-ness before it goes away. Or at least get a reasonable way to pick them up later.
As for cycling back in...well...given the amount of time that Celestial's been up so far, unless they only have a couple of things possible for it, don't count on it being back in for VIP stuff for at least a year, IMO. -
Does it have flight capabilities? Cuz here I am using my feet like a sucker. And ew...a zombie working with power tools to create it? That seems like it would be a) messy; and b) run through a lot of zombies till a trainable one is found.

Quote:Lemonade with brown sugar? Blech. Make that a lemonade with either vodka or whiskey and you got yourself a deal! Chronologically, I'm 33. Cynically, I'm 75. Maturitally, I'm 12. Physically, I feel 200.It's okay old guy. I'll make you some lemonade with brown sugar, bring out some cards and you can tell me all about the glory days when guys for some reason wanted to pretend they had to deal with a time of the month that isn't pleasant.

Quote:Sorry, I'm just a jaded old man. There was doubt? Srsly?
Secondly, why does that answer over everything else prove my born-with-naturalism?Come from the time when, on the internet, the men were men and the women were men. After all this time, the presence of a cute, geek (geek in a good sense) woman (and one willing to post pictures of herself) is still a bit of a novelty to me. /em rockingchair
To answer the second, it was meant as a joke. But my apologies that it didn't take. -

*shrug* I'm pessimistic about everything. It helps to deal with disappointment. If one never gets hopeful, they can never be let down.
