Quote:A waterproof skinsuit (that also breathes), a retractable helmet, and a pair of waterproof & sealed at the leg boots for me.I'd wear impractical armor bits that I thought looked cool, and probably absurd boots.
Because if I have to climb down into a sewer? Ya, I ain't going barefoot, regardless of any invulnerability. *shudder* -
Quote:I think Troy got et by zombies...
and Hickman, you remeber that when your looking for people to fill the zombie team. I got cheese making skillz damnit!
What are you planning on using for the milk for the cheese, post Z-day? Cuz there probably aren't going to be a whole lot of livestock around... -
Most of what I could find was stir-fried chicken with that type of sauce, which I didn't think would fit your criteria. I would imagine if you marinaded overnight, this recipe would probably work for deep-fried chicked.
I make a dipping sauce for potstickers that might work for fried chicken. It consists of soy sauce, mirin, sweet chili sauce (sometimes, this is the variable as I don't always want it), garlic powder and rice wine vinegar. There's no real recipe for it, as I just kinda throw in stuff in whatever proportion seems right at the time. -
Quote:That's under the assumption that a human is at all involved in the support tickets. If it's cut-n-paste automated responses, but with a random GM "name" on it, it probably doesn't cost them anything.A lot depends on if I get my points on the 4 th as promised 2 months running now.I will keep reporting it here if they fail again and keep opening support tickets. It seems a useless waste of support time and money to keep forcing players to jump thru hoops to get a promised product.
If CS is outsourced to India or China or whereever, it is also probably cheaper to handle support than to actually fix the issue. *shrug*

Quote:Something similar perhaps?Well, since you started it.
I used to have a recipe for fried chicken that was absolutely amazing. You only fried it for a bit but then finished it off in the oven, but before you put it in the oven you basted it with a mix of honey, soy sauce and sake. Then you used the leftovers of that mix as a dipping sauce.
Best fried chicken ever. And I lament my loss of that recipe regularly (found it back in the mid '90s on a random website).
It's a marinade rather than a basting recipe, but it could possibly work for you. -
Quote:Or...and this is just a thought...As to Batman vs Joker, Joker is perhaps the most recognizable villain Batman has. though I did enjoy that they brought in Liam Neeson as Rha's Al Ghul. When the Batman movies get rebooted soon, will we get yet another Joker? Hope not as it has been done, and I don't want to hear about how the role is "cursed" because of what happened to Heath Ledger, but knowing Hollywood it will be brought up ad infinitum.
For a Batman reboot, I wouldn't mind seeing Penguin as basically the kingpin of Gotham City's crime families. Also they could bring back the Riddler and remove the blemish from that character left by Batman Forever. Perhaps Harvey Two Face Dent could actually be the sole villain for a movie and not a second string villain? Better yet, how about the Mad Hatter?
QUIT WITH THE REBOOTS!
How many frickin' times do we need to see their origin story? Just like with Spider-man. Continue on the dang franchise rather than hitting the reset button. Whoops, we made three movies, time to reboot that sucker and tell the same story ad infinitium instead of coming up with new stories.
But the reboot movies are exactly like the comics, so shouldn't be complaints from that angle... -
That was a very bittersweet ending, but it was also quite good IMO. One of the stronger series finales I've seen.
I'm going to miss Chuck, but they had a great run. It was a show that was unafraid of showing character growth and natural progression. The Casey/Morgan dynamic was one of my favorites in TV history.
Also, Glasses Ellie...*swoon*...
Yes I swuned. I want a Glasses Ellie dangnabit! -

Quote:I think he looks pretty similar to Mr. Whitfield. The real difference, to me, is that Mr. Mcintyre looks...softer...I guess, than Mr. Whitfield. His jaw & cheekbones are not as defined. He also does not appear as muscular/cut as Mr. Whitfield did towards the end of the first season. Otherwise, ya, he's probably about as close as one could reasonably expect to find.Does the new guy pretty closely match Andy visually? If it's too jarringly different, it'll feel different for me, even if the rest of the show is on par with the other season/series.
I really like this series. It's both beautiful and brutal. Something that kinda ick'ed me was the deathmasks in that Praetor's office area. It's a wonderful touch, but just the idea of those things don't sit well with me. -
Woohoo! Necro posting!
Something I found that is awesome in an omelet...
Taking a tip from anime, I looked up the recipe for tamagoyaki (the fried egg that is often seen in bento boxes). I tried it and it was fantastic. I altered the recipe slightly.
Start with your standard egg. Add a half-capful of soy sauce (seems to be about 1/8th of a teaspoon or thereabouts). Whisk thoroughly. Pour into a six inch or so nonstick pan on low heat. Sprinkle in some finely shredded cheddar cheese. Let set for a minute or until the bottom is firm enough to fold. Fold and flip enough times to make sure it's cooked through. It helps to press down on it with the spatula.
I did find one addition that was surprisingly good. I added about 1/16th tsp of Woscertshire (sic) sauce to the egg before beating. Recipe is about 150 calories, give or take, iirc. It's a really nice and quick breakfast. -
Quote:Starz is basically an HBO-type subscription thingie to add on to your cable/satellite package, iirc. DISH Network gave us a year's sub for free for some odd reason.Oh no its basically an on demand deal. Here is the link for the site.

If you missed it, but have Starz, it's going to be on several times before the next episode. -
Nah, your take on Bionic Woman was the pinnacle of tv show thread-dom.
-
Things sure have changed, haven't they? There used to be a thread for pretty much every show every week. From Smallville to Chuck to Supernatural to BSG to Fringe and everything in between. Sad that we've fallen so far we can barely muster up the responses for the series finale of one of those shows.
-
Hmmm...it could be a dream sequence where Chuck is sitting in the Buy More and sees random hot girl (Sarah) and he goes off into a fantasy world.

They don't even have the full season of Season 1 on there now. No season 2 or 3 and only an interview from Season 4. >.<
-
Wow ya. Hulu has Season 1 & 4. Talk about an odd choice of allowance. I missed last week's episode due to either a) DVR not recording it or b) DVR choosing to delete it.
I remember the days when Chuck had its weekly thread along with Heroes good first season. The times, they are a changin'...

Quote:I would hate to see how NCSoft figures out a crossword puzzle. Just randomly putting in words that are the same length?I think I'm in the same boat, except I think it was more narrowed down between Sunday and Wednesday. Billing date is the 9th (now and for the past 2 years?), registration date was the 24th years ago.
I might be crazy, but I think we are getting closer to figuring out this puzzle. Good one NCSoft. Good one. -
Well, I think I got a Reward Token sometime between last Wednesday and today. When did I get it? No idea.

That Archer How-To book?
Awesome. It's an actual book, written from his POV. Only about a third of the way through it at the moment though.
My favorite bit is the Sterling Archer Triple-A Play for casinos. -

Quote:Gotta ask what your definition of "hero" entails. There's a few movies that may or may not fit your criteria.Added a blog post about violence in superhero movies, will be posting a new blog every Tuesday, though I won't always advertise it here. A question for those watching, would you watch the new Captain America with your kid, if you have one? What if it was a 7 year old boy? What if it was a 7 year old girl? Is there a specific age? What about some other movies that aren't specifically thought of as a hero for adults?
Would the movie Krull fit the definition of "hero" for you? I watched it as a kid and it was great fun.
How about the live-action Blood The Last Vampire? Probably wouldn't let a kid watch it due to the violence.
How about Ice Pirates? Another one that was great fun when I was a kid.
Then there The Crow. That one probably is too heavy for a kid to appreciate. Combined with its violence.
Hellboy, at least the first, I'd probably let a kid watch, provided I was there supervising.
