  1. Surprisingly, patience for the minis is one of the things I do have. I guess that comes with being an achievement & badge hunter. After all, if I could spend a RL year getting Empath on a Blaster, I think I can do pretty much anything.

I like doing them because it's a learning process and I'm actually creating something. Granted, I'll never be 1/100th as good as the 'eavy Metal guys, but it's a good way to pass the time.
  2. I'm enjoying it. Gotta watch tonight's ep yet though.

But ya know what? I actually had fun painting and putting the little buggers together. Granted, I've only got this, in terms of paints/figures so far, but it was fun putting them together.

I only wish that I wasn't as shaky as a jello mold in an earthquake.
  4. I'm guessing there's at minimum $10,000 on that diorama. I wouldn't be surprised if the number is hovering closer to $20k. As you said, those Titans alone are $650+ each (they list at 415 pounds on Forge World, though I think the weapon arms add another $1-200 onto 'em)
  5. I don't think its too contrived. How many people have they had die of "natural" causes within the group? Everyone's been bitten and died from that. Then they also stumble across corpses inside vehicles that aren't zombified, like that guy Carl came across in that pickup, which would work to go against the theory that everyone's just waiting to be a walker. Plus, there's the fact that they are more concerned about where their next meal is or just basic survival to spend too much time wondering about where the zombies come from.

These are, after all, just regular people who've led quiet lives. For the most part anyways. Combine that with an overall news blackout and lack of info, they can be excused for not knowing the minutiae beyond, "Shoot 'em in the head. If yer bit, yer dead.".
  6. *shrug* By "battle" I meant the entire siege.

One of them is Sanguinius (the guy with the big sword), primarch of the Blood Angels. It was in that battle, iirc, that he was struck down. I'm guessing the others are his personal guard.
  8. Also, Carl is one helluva good shot.

As for abandoning the farm...ya. That's why you always keep an emergency stash of supplies in your bug-out vehicle.

Granted, but so long as it's not in a "sexual" manner, then I imagine it would be seen differently. Failing that, she could wear the itty bittiest bikini bottoms.

So that Randall was an easier kill that wouldn't fight back? Surprise and all.

Au contraire. I seem to recall Harold & Kumar Escape From Guantanamo Bay managing to get an R for the theater despite the...scenes...in that guy's house down in Miami.

It could be done. Not easily, but it could be.
  12. When I first heard there was a ERB Mars/Barsoom story, I was all:

    But then I was all:

when I found out it was a Disney production, since that meant Dejah wouldn't be in authentic Barsoomian dress.

  14. Link.

Words utterly fail me on this diorama. This is something that I wish I had the skill, time, and money to be able to do.

Yes, it's from last year, but I hadn't seen it before.

    Bermuda Triangle.

Think about it. 18th century ship's figurehead and we've got a section of the planet that is ripe with "unexplained" disappearances. They got sucked into a timewarp. I imagine they might've went so far as to having people from different eras, like pirates & WWII fighter pilots, having to either live together or kill each other. And that region could also play host to, potentially, people from a time in the future. Especially now that the embarkation point in 2149 is destroyed.

The "entire Issue" was created by developers at Paragon Studios, located in Mountain View, CA. Their primary focus is City of Heroes. There are rumors of some other project in the works there, which may or may not be CoH-related, but most of the studio seems to be hard at work on CoH.

Billing is handled by NCSoft, whose primary interests are focused on several much bigger titles in the Korean market. It doesn't surprise me that we get the short end of the stick on billing issues. Unfortunately, the vet rewards and Paragon Rewards system that replaced it is handled by Billing. The only thing the devs on this board can do about it is call their bosses and tell them that we're unhappy with the situation. Which I hope by now they've done.
It was for frame of reference. The PS people manage to put out an entire issue in this time frame with the assorted bells and whistles. NCSoft, however, cannot figure out how to make sure things line up.

When quality control and customer service go down the tubes, the resulting loss of good faith among players inevitably leads to such conclusions.

At this point, it should be an embarrassment to Paragon Studios that this thread is still open, five months after CoH Freedom went live.
Given that we've gotten an entire Issue in the space of this time and Billing still hasn't figured out what the problem is/been able to fix it/give a timetable/etc, I'm going to guess that Remus is right.
  18. Eh, it got better towards the end. It had the same downfall as Sarah Connor Chronicles, namely focusing too much on the teenager component (Riley in SCC and then the 16yo daughter + her suitor and that idiot son's quest to get his old gf). Though the dino running rampant in the staging area was neat.

I would've liked to have seen how an 18th century ship's figurehead got back in time and what that area the corporate guys were heading towards.

It is pretty sad that a show that had 7 million viewers at the end wasn't enough to keep it around. Shame that Fox seemingly judges a show's worth around the metrics of American Idol.
  19. Carl's probably only going to get worse. He has no one his own age to relate to anymore. Having Sophia around probably acted as a brake on his idiocy.
  20. I don't recall, but didn't Shane and Rick come upon the deer and then Darryl shot the zombie in the head with his crossbow? It's very fuzzy.

Even if the walker started munching on the cow as it was asleep, you'd think at some point, the cow would wake up. I mean, I know cows are not exactly the sharpest knives in the drawer, but you'd think the stink alone (presuming they are stinky) would be enough to rouse the cow to make some noise.

Also, what the heck was Dale doing wandering way out there past the corpse pile in the first place?

Or the staff were just that oblivious and had a sign on the wall saying, "Please don't leave.". Of course, the sign would've been in Japanese rather than Pengi.

Well, there was that zombie munchin' on a deer in season one. Gotta imagine that a deer is harder to catch than a mobile vegetable. The cow could've been sleeping though.

I'd be more concerned with how there was no real sound indicitive of an animal in distress, other than that little bit of mooing Dale heard.

Snakes are tricky. Long, thin, and low to the ground as well.

Penguins, however, are not exactly known for their speed (on land), camoflauge, and general sneakiness.
  24. I think we are glossing over the most important thing...

    ZOMBIE COW!

It stumbles around the pasture moaning out, "Miiiiiiiiiillllk"...
