Quote:Some people are just looking for reasons to be offended, IMO.
Loki wasn't bad because he was adopted, he was bad because a) he was lied to about his provenance; b) he was a miniature Frost Giant; and c) he was a gigantic *******. -
Well, I was wrong in which person died. I was fully expecting either Fury, Black Widow, or Hawkeye to bite it. Was leaning more towards Hawkeye than anyone else.
Favorite scenes? Hulk punching Thor after they took down the dragon thingie. And Hulk playing Smash-The-Tin-God. -
Laser beams are so overdone.
You probably won't be able to find 'em, but I've been using orcas with plasma rifles.

Quote:Easily explained by a Fake Nemesis that got a bit out of hand. The real Nemesis was away playing baccarat whilst nursing a snifter of 100 year old brandy.Based on the red name banter Nemesis gave out last night, I don't think classy is the right word.
Next time a red name hops on Nemesis and speaks over the admin chat, mind making him more in character? Give a monologue about how we're all worthless, toss out some threats and call some players out, toss some insults out at the "pathetic" heroes and villains, hint at his master plan without giving away too much. Don't become a laughing stock
The word "indubitably" was tossed around quite a bit. -
Eh, mole machines are fine, I guess. But they lack a certain...style. Giant steampunk blimps floating over the city? That's got class. And Nemesis is all about the classy.

Just finished Tokyopop's Starcraft: Ghost Academy and it was pretty good. It featured Nova from the cancelled Starcraft: Ghost game. It's only three volumes, so pretty short.
-
What would've made it better is if the mobs rapelled down from hovering steampunk blimps. The whole teleporting-in thing doesn't really fit with that technology, IMO.

TF: Prime is a pretty good show. The whole MECH thing is a bit overdone, but come on, it's Spike Spiegel as Starscream! And I think he does the character quite well.

Quote:It's not the who that dies, it's rather the whole modus operandi of Whedon anymore. Honestly, it's tiresome. He just can't have a happy ending. *shrug*My job took me overseas last week and before I went home I made a detour on the way to the airport and saw the Avengers.
Yes, someone does die. I won't say who as I don't want to drop spoilers, but I don't think the death ranks down there with M. Night Plot Twist
Toss me a PM if you want to know who it is. -
Quote:I'm not sure GI Joe holds up that well. The other night I watched My Favorite Things and it was somewhat painful to watch. I mean, I still want to get the complete collection box set, but think I might need to take off the rose-colored glasses for it.Already had the GI Joe series on DVD (plus movie) but I added it to my queue anyway just because it's just so friggin easier to play via Netflix than bother with a DVD player. So far, I think GI Joe withstands the nostalgia test better for me than Transformers does. And re-hearing voice talents I haven't heard in awhile and noticing just how much overlap there is between these two series is always interesting to me.

Well, wasn't the monkey he had in that episode green? Perhaps a combination of the bite of the monkey (and assorted monkey pox) interacting with M'gann's blood.

Quote:The Real Ghostbusters box set is like $180! I almost had a heart attack when I saw that.Yeah, if I hadn't already "relived" much of these over the past several months on The Hub, I'd probably have put them in my queue when they showed up.
If they ever got The Real Ghostbusters for streaming, I'd be all over that.

*sigh* Without watching or reading spoilers, I can make a guess on who Whedon's going to kill off. I'm actually getting a bit sick of expecting that from him. He's turning into a variant of M. Night "What a TWIST!" Shamalamadingdong.
I think I'm pretty much over the whole Whedon thing. -
...
Jem and the Holograms?
...You worry me sometimes.
-
How about making TFs or story arcs (solo-possible please, no 8-person TFs kthx) that play to the theme of the set? Like "Celestial" would be an arc dealing with angelics or possibly valkyrie-type mobs. Each time you run the arc, you get the option of picking a random piece of the set for a reward.

One of the pizza places 'round here (Pizza Ranch) makes a pretty good Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza. Chicken and bacon w/ bit's o' tomato and ranch dressing on it.

I'm thinking M'gann and Connor's breakup was particularly brutal. What with her trying to eat Fish Boy's face right in front of Connor.
But hey, we got Cassie! Maybe her and Connor have become an item!
Plus...Batgirl. Batgirl makes everything better. -
So...this is a permanent change then? That whole thing with the Missing Six and whatnot ended at New Year's?

Quote:It's not just the beavers. It's every show that has a situation like that. How stupid does a person have to be to tell the bad guy (when they're in a secluded location) that they are going to the cops with all the evidence on them? What does that bad guy have to lose at that point by knocking that character off?Well yeah but the beavers don't exactly seem to make the wisest decisions anyway. When they decide to be brave they also get stupid, like showing up at the Grimms house and working on the door without announcing yourself.
It's just plain sloppy writing and a tired trope. Yes, it's "necessary" for the story setup, but in real life, that'd just be putting chlorine in the gene pool.
