Quote:Miami? Couldn't it have been the insanely hot down there?Because they're both outside... tussling butt naked... and its Miami.
I've hit it off a few times with prospects at the club but end result is usually inside... tussling butt naked... engaged in 'soft-core cannibalism'.
Or, failing that, one of the mosquitos-as-big-as-a-semi got a hold of one of 'em and transferred some disease from the untraveled depths of the innumerable swamps? -
I'll be in my bunker...
It was a good world, well, okay, maybe not so good, but I'll miss it. Kinda. Sorta. If you squint. -
Quote:What was funny was watching Fury switch his eyepatch back and forth every scene. No one was calling him on it, but every time he did it, the rest of the Avengers were giving each other the, "Is he crazy?" look. The SHIELD people just gave long-suffering sighs. That wasn't half as surprising as finding out that Mjolnir was Nick Fury's childhood sled.
I do think giving Black Widow and Mariah Hill that poledancing scene was just a bit over the top. Not to say it wasn't...nummy...but still. Seemed a bit out of place and not that professional for them to be doing that in the middle of the SHIELD command center. Though I must say that Thor and Stark busting out the popcorn was a nice touch. -
Quote:No no, Hulk isn't his father...Yikes!
Fortunately, it should still be just as good then.
I won't spoil it by telling you that Hulk is Captain America's father!!
Black Widow is his father. There was a time machine, alternate dimensions, some really cheap whiskey, a pinata, a little person lucha libre professional, thousand island dressing, and for some reason, a set of cymbals.
Still trying to figure out the bit with the cymbals, but dang if Whedon didn't make that work. -
Quote:The whole Tim Burton/Johnny Depp thing has more than run its course, IMO.Well at least the two joked about making a Beetlejuice 2 which would be awesome.
Oh look, it's another movie by those two...and what's this? Depp's playing a pale and eccentric character? Helen Bonham Carter is also in it? Wow...original...

Quote:Batman's a Jokersexual.Lmao. This amuses me greatly!
Maybe Batman has a costume fetish? Anyone wearing one turns him on no matter what the sex? lol
Sure, they may have their flings with others. Batman occasionally has to experiment with Poison Ivy and Twoface, Joker needs his time with Nightwing and Batgirl, but in the end, they always come back to each other.
Star-crossed lovers, Batman and Joker are. -
Quote:Could always be adopted, or the missus was stepping out, or Alan came to the realization post-kids.Alan Scott has been a prime candidate for speculation, but what of Jade and Obsidan, his kids? Do they not exist in NuDC?
That is if they even exist in the new universe. -
Yer killin' me here man...so many shirts that I would buy, so few dollars in my pocket...

Wait, what?
John Noble, aka Walter from Fringe, was both Unicron in Transformers Prime and Denethor in the Lord of the Rings? -
Big Bad Toy Store has some.
Entertainment Earth also has some, iirc.
They should only be selling licensed, official stuff. -
Couple more...
Stacy's Mom in the video for the song Stacy's Mom by Fountains of Wayne? That's Rachel Hunter.
The lead singer for the band that plays the song (and is making out with Kristin Kreuk on the little stage), "Scotty Doesn't Know" in Eurotrip? That's Matt Damon. -
Quote:That use of shadowing was, I felt, appropriate and didn't exactly "feel" like censoring. Unlike say, High School of the Dead where they whited out half the screen (on Hulu despite being age-gated) for some scenes.Me, neither. Only evidence of censoring I could see was the bleeping (though an "a**hole" slipped through) and the use of shadows to hide the worst of that girl's severed head. If anything else was cut out, I couldn't tell.
As for the bleeping, well, they did let the reference to the Warden's boobs through. I've also noticed that Lost Girl on Syfy gets away with a couple of s-words an episode.
Edit - And holy cow! That t-word is not censored here? -
Quote:Well, to be fair, they've pretty much always had that warning up.This is a good sign (along with the advisary warning) that stuff like Deadman Wonderland may not get much editing.
Edit - Also...that's a messed up beginning for a series. Seemed to be pretty uncensored, aside from the bleeps, to me. Granted, I've never seen the series before, so I can't say. -
There is something somewhat unsettling about hearing Tom say, "Toonami is back, *******"...

Quote:There's a much simpler solution. They don't need a DC Films branch. They just need to hire writers that understand the material, love the material, and take it seriously.
Tell the suits to back off. "Input" from people who have never read a comic, watched a cartoon, nor had a discussion on whether or not Superman is capable of mating with a human woman (for example) is neither needed nor wanted. -
Scarlet isn't in this one. The only returning characters are Duke, Snake Eyes, and Storm Shadow, iirc. Everyone else got put on a bus or something.

For future events, could we maybe, possibly, if it's not too much trouble, think about doing something other than invasions? Especially invasions that have a threshold for # of people in order to spawn the badge enemies?
Between Rikti, Nemesis, Undead, and whateverelseImaybeblankingon, the Invasions simply aren't any fun any more. There's no real in-game meta event accompanying them, just...lotsa spawns. They may have been interesting the first couple of times, but after a while, they turn into the game equivalent of another rant about Twilight fans.
How about some scavenger hunts with items hidden around the city? Or races? Or literally anything besides yet another invasion? Or randomly generated portals that take characters to special maps? And above all else, make it so that soloers or small teams (<8) can do them. -
Haven't been watching much lately, but got around to finally watching the director's cut of Afro Samurai. Very good. I've got AS: Resurrection to watch soonish.
Also, the Hetalia movie, "Paint It, White". My word that movie is surreal. Shame that Ukraine and Belarus only show up in one scene though. I think my two favorite bits where Russia's battlecry as he jumps out of the plane ("VODKA!") and the telling of that Italian Heaven/Hell joke. Good movie, if, as I said, a bit surreal. -

Just...wow. They already started advertising and it's just about a month away from it's initial release. Reason for the 9 month delay?
Yup. You guessed it.
3-frickin'-D.

What's surprising is some of the stuff Patrick Stewart has done in the role of Director Avery Bullock on American Dad. The stuff is funny in and of itself, but then you realize that it is also Prof. Xavier, Gurney Halleck, Captain Picard, King Richard, and a knight to boot saying those lines.
