Finally got a shot. Taken by my crappy camera phone.

In the shot is my brick-case, and sitting on the brick is my pill-minder (for my allergies), my USB wireless device (on an external HD), the fan to keep said device from overheating, and my remote collection. And some random detrimus that, as the picture shows, kind of prevails in my room.

Left of that is my (free) LCD monitor, a barely-visible CD case with my DS perched atop it (and my EVE pirate schedule), my usual arrangement of coffee and juice, tissues (allergies), my utility rack (I don't even KNOW what's on that thing anymore), the most durable calculator I've ever had (a Casio fx-115W that I've had since my Freshman year of high school), with my keyboard under the desk.

Right is my LCD TV, my incense/diffuser kit (matches, spare sticks/cones), a candle that I keep as a testament to how hot my room gets (It wasn't that deformed before the summer), a thoroughly crushed can of Tab, some peanuts (I forget to eat sometimes and need emergency rations), an empty Gatorade, and two ancient Mike's Hard Lemonades that I've had for over a year and really just sort of forgot about. Plus my defunct VCR and my cablebox.

The brick, one of my friends helped me build... in that he helped recommend parts (that I've long since forgotten what I've put into it), and is the first machine I've ever constructed from the ground up myself. I'll have to see if I can't dig up my specs at some point.

Ironically, that's only half of my desk, too. The other half is off-camera, and includes a lot of other random crap (including a desk-fan to help mitigate the heat levels in my room), my ASVAB study tools, and all of the clothes that I keep meaning to actually sew things back onto but keep forgetting.

    here's mine:

    My Work Bench

Okay, that might be a bit confussing for you to look at, so I'll issolate the systems:

    My Work Bench (Highlighted)

The Red box on the wall is where my 15" LCD media monitor used to hand, right up until it burned out about a month ago (Oh well can't complain I bought it for $5 and it lasted 3 years.)
The Red high lighted system in the corner is my media server... basically useless right now with out the monitor.

The Purple system is my Media production system, where I've got Adobe Premier, Sony Vegas pro, Office, Audacity, Adobe Photoshop and the rest of my media producing mumbo-jumbo loaded.

The Teal system is my gaming rig. That's what I've Got CoH loaded on.

The Keyboard is a Logitech G15 Gaming keyboard (LOVE IT btw), the mouse is Logitech G5 gaming mouse.

And just to answer any question that may be raised about it, no. I do NOT have one monitor per system. I have 1 monitor (The LCD on the left) hooked up for my gaming system, and I use both for my media production system:

Yup, I have a Split screen for one system.

That's an awful lot of "...for Dummies" books there!

Seriously, many of those are quite well done, but I couldn't resist.

    Recognized Badge

I think the reason why the author badges were removed besides the obvious vote cartels is they were unobtainable for a ton of people. Some people can make really fun and interesting arcs while others are limited to their mediocre skills in creativity.

If the devs were just concerned about vote cartels, then they could have just reset the AE arcs that are the worst offenders, then make it so that a person needs to play through the whole thing before they can vote on it.

So you're saying there shouldnt be awards for creative writers?

right. lemme call up a few book organizations. and tell the oscars to stop existing. Its not fair that johnny the homeless movie writer doesnt have as many awards as a top director or writer, after all.

    Uhmmm....this is a game.
  6. My latest victory:

I was in a cave mission where it loop-de-loops around and under itself and ended in one of those dozen layer slogging cave rooms, and I didn't get nauseous!

    True story.
  7. I saw the cake! Happy Birdie, Hawkeyed!

Hehehe....thankfully I stopped watching that after a few episodes, when I remembered why I didn't really like him from NYPD Blues, etc.

Damnit!! I already got an art addiction, I don't need a statue/action figure one too.

Already having a hard enough time resisting getting one of Squisherific's custom dolls done.

  15. I gotta go with Projectionist here. I like the mood of the piece, it's just about dead on, and it doesn't have TA in it! lol
  16. I got to doing other stuff and forgot. And I was wanting to get the hero kills on one of my villains before going Rogue.

    Ah well.
  17. I know what an animal you are, so Happy Birthday!

*If* a GM deleted this person's character after generic'ing it, then the only thing to do is to ask for it to be restored, and escalate it until you're satisfied nothing more can be/will be done.

Posting here will accomplish absolutely nothing - none of us can do anything about it.

A character can and will be generic'ed for name, costume, and or biography. That is their right to do if they feel it should be done.

I had a character's name get generic'ed after playing it for a long time and hitting 50 as well, so don't think anyone is being singled out here. In my case, I asked for it to be escalated one time, that supervisor concurred, so I left it at that and changed the name.

Not a huge deal, unless you make it one.
