It hasn't been really recent...I've only found them from around dusk to dawn in that area for the last 5 years or so. It's only changed when they have a perpetual night even going, like the Halloween event or something, so that it's night all day, as well.
You may have been thinking of Dark Astoria. In DA you will find BP all the time, but the masks only pop during game nights. -
I think that something in the updater program or whatever is causing some deletion of these files - mine was fine until I logged out, and when I logged in later on one more more of the textures pigg files was corrupted and had to be re-DLed.
My decision is to take a night off and see if they can get the patch patched.

Interesting. I logged in and had none of these issues. Logged out, read some mail and stuff, logged back in, and all is white.
Trying the new pigg file dealie now, but thought the logout loss was interesting. -
Happy St. Pat's, all!
I attended a University where St. Pat's weekend was a holiday (read: several day non-stop party), so it holds a special place in my heart. I think I'll have a beer tonight to celebrate!
