I've had it happen, too, even though I try to put the artist in the title and description, both. Oh, well, you can't fix stupidity.

Yep, just remember when you resize to have it just add off to the right side (click in the "arrows" box until they're pointing out and only to the right), and only increase the width. You'll then end up with a long image area to copy-paste your next image that you've surrounded with the rectangular marquee tool. Then just use the rectangular tool again to mark the area you want to paste it to - sometimes I have to undo-redo to get rid of overlaps or gaps.
Just do all with a save-as so you can start over if you mess it up. -
