I figured those were from some game that I didn't know about. I remember the regular Kirby, but never played that. If they're just supposed to be Kirby in other characters' costumes, then I'd have to look again - I'd probably recognize a number of them, then. -
Sounds like a good idea to me. I think if someone's happy with the art they get, who am I to rain on their parade? I'll just grab a musical instrument and march right with them!

Dear thread,
It's just boots. Gee whiz, and Gollee whillickers.
The artist did not say it was <copyright name>'s boots - someone else did. And I'll bet that 90% of us never even saw then until it was pointed out, since the pic on DA was smallish and the corners dark.
Some of you really know how to take the fun out of this stuff.

I look at it like this: It's a pair of damned boots. It could be your boots, or my boots, or anyone's boots. What it's *not* is a likeness of any one character, nor an iconic emblem of any one character. It's just a friggin' pair of boots!
Heaven forbid someone put a pair of sunglesses with red lenses in a picture - I might sue!
If people are going to get upset over this, it's probably all over.
