  1. Welcome!!

All the classes, or archetypes (AT's), have strengths and weaknesses to them. I generally agree with you that either a Blaster or a Scrapper is probably a good one to start off with. They will each do nice damage on their attacks. The Blaster's damage is a bit higher, but their defenses and it points (Health) is lower. Choose that if you prefer to stay back at range to attack. The Scrapper has better defenses and health - choose that if you want to be in melee range with your foes.

As for the specific primary and secondary powers, they all are generally good and have their strong points. For example, a fire blaster will have attacks that do more damage over time, whereas a cold blaster's attacks tend to slow down their foes when they hit. I'd maybe try one of those first off if I were to do a blaster. For a scrapper, claws is what you'd expect from the name, while fire melee combines some damage over time in the attacks, katana and broadsword use those weapons as attacks, and martial arts has kicks and punches.

For the secondary on those, Willpower (Scrapper) has a good mix of regeneration and defense powers, while others go in different directions. Some primaries work better with certain secondaries, so it kind of depends on what primary set you choose.

I do Mutant a lot, too, unless I have a reason to go with another origin due to a created back story. The Mutant sets are good about telling you,in the name, what they do.

Glad you're having fun, and welcome to the game!
  4. Nice piece - looking forward to the colors on this one!

Adamastor? Yeah, it took me a while to figure out that those were, I'm guessing, two toes with the toe nails(?) I was thinking that looked like some stitches. Not positive I'm correct on this, but I think the thing that threw me, for one, was I was trying to make out a part of a face or an emblem or something.

But good on ya for trying something like this with that tough a subject!

I think maybe the fiery eyes might be the thing that would do it...

Finally got it....it's a teddy bear with stitches!
  8. I know there are other scripts there, as well, so you might check those out and see if any do the right thing for you.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I usually just mouse click and drag to highlight the text, and that takes care of the color issue. I know I saw scripts for changing font sizes, which is the other issue, but I've not tried those.

I know I'll usually just highlight the text with my mouse (clicky-draggy), but I've posted a thought on your other thread.

Nice editing to that, linking it to the music. The song's not my cup of tea (Earl Grey, please!) but they did a nice job with it.
  13. Yet more coolness, Bill - congrats!!
  14. Very cool costumes on that! Anyone get personal close-ups? I'd like to look at them a bit closer - they all look great! CR, your Zangief looks dead on from that pic.

I totally disagree with your initial premise, which detracts from your point, I think.

That said, more marketing would certainly be a plus.
  17. There's probably a Greasemonkey script for FireFox that would do that...

I found one script here on userscripts.org, which the FireFox page for Greasemonkey links to. There are probably others as well.

I've not used this, and it has no comments/feedback on it, so I'd be careful to check out the script before using it.
  18. It takes a special person to get a Birthday thread stickied.
