Instead of comparing across Archetypes (Scrappers are supposed to out damage Brutes, so that any given set would do more damage on a Scrapper is a given not a revelation), it's far more useful to compare it to other Brute sets IMO. Measured as a Brute set, it is very good. I'd love to see someone run the numbers to see where KM is among Brute sets.
The Fury generation is probably among the best given how quick those attacks are, and it competes with Super Strength and Dark Melee for self-damage buff.
The set is a much better Brute set than it gets credit for. -
Yeah, the Incarnate stuff is pretty bad ("Congratulations on achieving Incarnate status! You now will die at least 10 times more often! Don't you feel powerful!") I just ignore the iTrials. I generally ignore zone events, too. There's enough stuff in the game that I can just skip what I don't like.
P.S. I'm removing the market from my play style, too. -
Casting them will interfere with Combo building and DPS, so I'd say no. It does give the set some synergy with Dark Armor, though. And the Vigilante Alignment power.
That said, if it is fun for you to take and use the pool Fears, by all means do so because fun is what it's all about. -
Just roll Super Reflexes, Invulnerability or Willpower and be done with it. Those can all be made 100% effects free.

The character is great. That he'll probably make most bluesiders puke makes him even cooler.

Only reason to slot this is for the 6-slotted set bonus. Otherwise, steer clear as it's a waste of a slot.

An attack that DoTs 100 damage is inferior to an attack that bursts 100 damage. That is part of what holds Dual Pistols back from being the set it could have been. That, and the Swap Ammo gimmick not having any real payoff, as Blasters make obvious.

I feel bad for the legitimate arc authors being denied the much needed additional audience, but I can understand why this was done. AE has some good features, and some good arcs, but on balance the overall effect on the game has been a negative one. IMHO, of course.

I hate how anything poured into a martini glass is called a "martini". If it ain't gin and vermouth, it ain't a martini, no matter what glass it's poured into. Call it something else instead. Like "fauxtini".

Remember, the only time you see a villainface is when you're slowly going mad...

Quote:It isn't just newbies but returning players that have fallen into the Radio Mission trap as well.Is this a problem with her understanding, or a problem with how the contacts describe what players are to do to follow the normal arc progress in the game?
Keep in mind, as mind-numbing as they can be, Radio Missions tend to get run instead of story arcs, and this has been true for as long as there have been Radio Missions blueside and Newspaper Missions redside. They're quick and easy. But they give the false impression that the game is simplistic and boring.
I'm glad this player had someone like you to set them right. But I do feel a bit discouraged by the returning players who run a few Radio Missions, and decide they don't want to stick around based on that.
It's a problem.
That has always been an asinine feature and it should be removed. -
I disagree the set was approaching anything resembling overpowered. It was a solid middle-of-the-pack performer. It won't ever replace Super Strength in farms. People see the cool animations and get the false impression it's overpowered (The Dual Pistols Effect: especially good/fancy animations can lead people to believe a set is better than it is).
The set's upper damage potential is kept in check by the combo system. Judged as a whole, the set is very well balanced IMO.
That said, I don't believe there's been any change at all in the numbers from beta to now.
Always willing to look at evidence to the contrary of course, but I seriously doubt there is any. -
Exalted server is elitist and exclusionary. I hope it gets closed down soon.

Quote:Arcanaville once again gives good advice. One thing you don't hear about Super Reflexes all that much is that it mitigates slows better than any melee armor set, with the sole exception of Ice Armor. Most slows miss you, and the ones that do get mitigated, and Winter's Gift turns that mitigation up another big notch.Oh, and I recommend finding someplace to stick this: Winter's Gift: Slow Resistance.
20% resistance to movement slow and recharge debuffs doesn't sound like much, but it stacks onto Quickness' 40% resistance to both. Getting that to 60% resistance to movement debuffs and recharge debuffs can actually quite useful, and you can always throw it into Sprint.
When she says how she puts Aid Self onto her SRers, I just plug my ears and go, "La, la, la!"
As to Devouring Earth, just pull. They'll drop their buffs and then run right out of them. The only time I found Confront worth the power pick on a Scrapper. -
No, you weren't tricked. Server load <> server population, even if it can serve as an indication of a populous server, it should not be relied on in this way.
IMHO, it's only a matter of time before Exalted joins the green dot servers as the new shininess wears off and people migrate back to the "real" servers.
Splitting your population needlessly is just never a good idea. Especially when it comes with additional costs, as an additional server does. -
Because they want an end game and/or want to make their character the best it can be (within the free account restrictions).

I cried when I saw how fugly they made Apex in game. APEX IS NOT FUGLY!

I disagree that there is an imbalance. Alignment Merits are a powerful advantage for pure alignments.

I look forward to the haunted house, but I don't look forward to 1 month+ of continuous night.

Also, I'd like to know if game time cards can be turned in for points instead and if there are any plans to take Ultimate Game Card.

I've loved Jump Kick for years. Nice to see people joining the Church of JK. We've got jumping...and kicking.
