  1. Damn you necros, my fist will erase you!!!

P.S. Kinda funny to see this though. I guess Energy Aura didn't get enough loving, did it? I like the set, but in all honesty it does need some work to say the least lol.

Hey! Nice to hear from you Pez! I always enjoyed your segment of the show. Good job, man.
  3. I consider that to be a balancing factor with the fact Stalker DB has Buildup. Though I have to say Followup type powers are > Buildup in 99% of PvE, except on Stalkers where Buildup is always superior (to aid Assassin Strike). This was probably the thinking the devs had when they limited the combos like this. Many disdain it, but I feel that Buildup with the occasional combo makes Stalker Dual Blades arguably superior in PvE (and in PvP, there's no arguably about it, it is superior to any other DB).

It's interesting Stalker WP is equipped with a Heal. It gives up the convenience of Quick Recovery for this, but the survival boost is something I would also consider to be worth it. Willpowers with a heal? Yes, please!

Great guide! It makes me want to roll a DB/WP Stalker! I might go with a Brute instead, though. Claws-like action backed up by Fury is just to sexy to ignore, and I have a very...Brutal concept for it. I probably will do a Stalker too though. Stalkers have become perhaps my third favorite Arch (1. Doms 2. Brutes 3. tie between Stalker and Scrapper, but Scrappers are blueside and I prefer red so 3. goes to Stalker and 4. goes to Scrapper).

Going Staminaless sounds inviting. Given the lack of Quick Recovery I didn't think it was possible, but you make it seem so. I might try that when I roll my DB/WP Stalker.

One note: "Patrol" should be "Patron" in "V. Patrol Power Pools". Typo, I know.
  4. It's Clobberin'...er, no, I disavow all knowledge of any large, rocky, orange Tankers who smoke cigars. It's a good way to get yourself "disappeared" around here!

What I'm talking about is easily finding out what time it is without running any additional software or clicking on "certain" NPCs.

    It's a /bind, but don't worry! It's quick, painless and easy!

    In your chatbox put:

    /bind lshift+/ "localtime"

    and uh, hit ENTER.

That's it! The time and date pop up in your chat window! And not that cryptic (hehe) "server time" but the real time as stated on your computer's clock.

/bind tells the game you're making a key bind.
lshift+/ tells the game that the keys you want for the bind are the left shift key and the / key, pressed simultaneously.

"localtime" tells the game you want to know what time it is when you press those keys.

Feel free to change lshift+/ to anything you find more convenient. As a touch typist, I find this combo easily executed but you can change it to anything you want. You can find guides on what keys are called (most are obvious, not all are though) in this very forum if I'm not too much mistaken.

I put this on all knew alts I create (and there are a lot lol).

So what time is it? It's Clobberin'...er 10:06 AM. DON'T SUE!

Hey PsychoPez, weren't you the news guy for CoS?
  6. Nice! The last one especially is great. Must've been a pain to get (or just fortuitous).
  7. Ha! Great art and a great costume!

  9. LOL Awesome!

The only thing there is to fear is...WARFACE!

I recommended this podcast near the time it first came out. Glad to see it getting additional recognition. The 'cast is very well done. My only complaint is there isn't any redside coverage, but they can only cover what they play and they cover blueside well.

Bout time CoH had a good regular podcast again. We miss you City of Stories!
  11. What a great piece! I'm a big fan of that style. And Justice League Unlimited is quite possibly the greatest animated superhero series of all time.
  12. If I could have one of my MA/SR Scrapper Daemodand I'd be the luckiest boy in the world!
  13. I'd like to try one:

A sleepwalking 13 year old girl who has been subjected to cancer treatments having her favorite meal: the psyche of an innocent person.
  14. It's gotta be a joke post. Dark Armor is the most survivable secondary outside of Stone Armor's Granite power. And instead of Dark you recommend...Electric? LOL

Yeah, take Aid Self. You're gonna need it. And hope you're not DoTed.

And Aid Self being better than Dark Regen? LOL No, guess again. The cake is a lie. Caltrops alone is enough to stop AS the majority of the time. And in PvE where you get multiple DoTs applied? Forget it, Aid Self is worthless for those situations. I know, I use it on Energy Aura all the time. DR is far, far superior.

People give Electric way more credit than it deserves. And what's telling is it's always with the caveat "if you take Aid Self" LOL Aid Self, LOL Electric Armor.

Electric is only superior to Energy Aura. Everything else beats it for survivability.

How Dark went from the premiere armor set for those that live for relentless level missions, to the worst set for a brute to take is beyond me.

    It's an ignorant trend.

    QFT

I still don't think the OP is being serious. But on the off chance he is, yeah, there's no argument at all that Dark isn't superior for survivability. Electric has a big fan club. Mostly because it gives you some nice tools for the late game (Endurance Drain protection--oops Dark has it too; and Psi protection--oops again, Dark has it too; slow protection--ok, Electric 1 out of 3 isn't exactly a stellar record).

That Electric Armor is the best Brute Secondary has become conventional wisdom. Conventional wisdom is oftentimes wrong.
  15. How'd you get YouTube to not pixelate these into oblivion? The quality is quite nice.
  16. 1. People who are still bitter about ED and can't see how Inventions effectively "reverses" it are just too consumed by their own bitterness to see it. Get over it. Seriously. Get over it.

    2. Travel power suppression is necessary to keep people from trivializing PvE content.

    3. Cathedral of Pain. Well they've got a point here. Can't argue on promised content that isn't delivered.

    4. Just combat. So is every other MMO out there.

    5. Prestige. They've got a point here, too. Prestige is terrible, and bases are worse. The twin devils of Prestige and bases turned Supergroups into Prestige farms rather than the social clubs they should be.

    6. Vehicles. Did you tell them about the Bruiser's motorcycle? lol Seriously though, what purpose would vehicles serve given the travel powers in this game? Steeds serve a purpose in games where travel sucks. In this game, it doesn't and they don't.

    7. Alignments. The day this becomes City of Metas rather than City of Heroes and City of Villains is a day I hope never comes. Terrible, imbalancing, ruinous idea.

    8. This game emphasizes PvP? They're just flat wrong here. It emphasizes PvE and PvP is nearly all but ignored.

    9. Creative power use by innovative players? Exploits, they mean. Give me a break on this one. If a power is broken or imbalancing, it should be nerfed for the good of the game.

Very regrettably Barry White died on July 4, 2003, before CoH went into closed beta.

    [/ QUOTE ]

No way, man. You see, every time a hot couple makes out? Barry's alive. Every time someone puts on some hot makeout music? Barry's alive. Every time there's romance in the air? Barry's alive.

So you'll forgive me for doubting your word, because I know the truth. Where there's sex, love and great music...that's where Barry lives. And will always live.

    Barry's alive.
  18. [ QUOTE ]

Very much so. Maybe too much so. I don't see any advertisements at all. Even though the software is in beta testing, this is a lot of space, bandwidth, and software being handed out. How do they earn any money?

    [/ QUOTE ]

This is the same way YouTube got its start. Venture capital, then when it gets legs throw adds in. They seem to be capitalizing on the fact YouTube handles video game footage very poorly.
  19. That's the best thing I've seen!
  20. A site that'll give you a free FRAPS-esque app AND a place to host it with tuned-to-video-game-compression for good image quality:

    WeGame.com

I've not tried it personally (yet) but it looks promising.

    VORI PvP Videos

You know, CoX PvP videos just stink. The camera is pulled way back, the pixelation YouTube imposes is a crime, and everything is a Super-Speed-obscured-hopping-blur.

I have seen some good CoX PvP videos. They do exist. The Wraiven ouvre comes to mind. Too bad PvP videos of that quality so few and far between.

    Sexiest CoX Art?

The Dance by Graver and JTran

But I'm biased AND a sicko.

    [/ QUOTE ]

That's a great one. Butts and BillZ, what more does anyone need? The artist did a fantastic job.

And BTW "sexy" doesn't mean "there's a vulva in it". Think erotica, not porn. All the "I can't post it"s are a cop out.

    Sexiest CoX Art?

What's the sexiest CoX art you've seen?

For me, it's gotta be transfuse's Desmodas.

Just look at it. The look on her face, the arched back, the barely covered ample bosom. Even the texture of the wings is suggestive (in a very classy way). Oh, and Dark. Dark is always sexy (why is that?) Such a well done piece by an extraordinarily talented artist!

So what's the sexiest CoX art you've seen?
