Go tell PlayNC, thou who passest by,
That here, obedient to their laws, CoX's devs try.
"THIS...IS...NCNC!"
*kicks Statesman into the PlayNC pit* -
That's a good point. Never rely on speech bubbles in your vids, because they'll largely be unreadable. Especially on YouTube.

No can dunk, but good fundamentals. -
In addition to putting ads in the game maybe they can, you know, advertise the game?
-
Yay! I got a mention on the show.
The pronunciation of my name is day-mo-dand. Yeah, it's not the easiest thing to deduce from the spelling.
BAB gave me my first redname response ever. And it wasn't even a rickroll. What a fun guy. -
You animated one of the best storyarchs in the game! And I never thought I'd get sentimental over Wretch and Ghost Widow.
Awesome job! Can't believe it's your first video. Well done! -
Jerk Radio
EDIT: Link seems to be broken. It's:

We are all familiar with the loved and lovely City of Heroes Podcast. But there's an evil twin out there you should all give a listen too, as well. If CoH Podcast has that warm and fuzzy Hero feeling of blueside, then Jerk Radio is right out of the Rogue Isles.
It isn't for everyone. There's swearing. The audio quality is poor. They make fun of everyone up to and including themselves, so check your ego at the door and be willing to laugh at yourself.
That said, they have some very interesting things to say about the game. Particularly the lore. They have some really fascinating things to say about it. And they talk about many other aspects of the game as well.
And they make fun of bad bios. Come on, admit it. You've clicked on someone's info and saw a bio that made your jaw drop or burst out loud in laughter.
They make fun of roleplayers on the one hand (they admit to being situational roleplayers), and give Hamidon enhancements away to strangers with the other. Their SG isn't a Prestige mill.
Give it a listen. You may be entertained, you may be enraged, but you probably won't be bored. Call them Jerks. That's "Jerks" with a capital "J" not a lowercase "j". -
The VEATs are gonna be shoo-ins for this category.

For an artist to be fascinated by a particular color for as long as several years is not without precedent.

Some of us have a healthy skepticism about ads and the over-commercialization of everyday life. I place a high value on access to my mind and those of my family members. With ever encroaching advertisements there are few places where people can be free of being marketed to. For me, CoH is one of those places. I play to get away from real life.

No, don't you get it? We opt-outers are "whiners" and are "mentally ill" and wear "tinfoil hats".
Aren't we? -
I agree with Castle in that certain sets should remain with certain ATs. I also agree Empathy is conceptually difficult for Villains (though examples of empathetic villains can be found in the genre, CoX is better served giving Villains a unique version of Empathy). The power where you take another's wounds onto yourself is one of the most heroic powers in the game.
The Blaster Psi Secondary looks pretty potent. A Blaster with Confuse and Fear? And I'm shocked they get Drain Psyche. That power gives so much survivability, it's incredible. I'll have to roll one (just like everyone else lol) just to see it first hand. And PvP Blasters may take something other than /Energy now (Drain Psyche and the Fear will be very potent in PvP). Just might be the most survivable Blaster in PvE outside of /Devices. -
And they say there's no such thing as hardcore bluers.

Repetition is just the nature of MMOs. If they change things up, it'll seem great at first, but it wouldn't be long before it felt like just part of the routine again.
I like what they're doing with the Hollows. How many new players has that zone cost this game? We'll never know, but we know there's at least a few (and very likely many more). The revamp should help with this.
It's ironic that two of the best maps blueside has to offer (the office-on-fire and the drug factory) come at so low a level, leaving mostly cookie cutter maps from there on. -
So long as they made it optional, and didn't nix the actual sound effects, it would actually be a pretty neat feature. DO WANT.

Welcome to redside. I hope you guys find it [Viv]tasty[/Viv].

Is there a point where the information we're getting is too much? I kind of feel like we're venturing into finding out who the "man behnd the curtain" is, so to speak. Does knowing every little piddling detail about everything really make such a big difference in the average player's enjoyment of the game?

Jack Emmert, is that you? -
Oh wow, are comics really $6 these days? Lower your prices K_K!

I read it as defiant/uncaring. Head raised/arms crossed comes across like that in my opinion.
Beautifully drawn though. Your style is very bold. -
Perhaps a grief-stricken Cap would have been better? He embodies the ideals of America, not it's short-comings after all. And he would be disappointed in America right now, no doubt about it.
And I agree with the message. America has lost its way. The America I know doesn't invade other countries under false pretenses and doesn't torture people. We were the country, in WWII, that the Germans couldn't wait to surrender to because they knew they'd receive fair treatment (as opposed to the other option: the Soviets).
The Star Trek Deep Space Nine episodes "Homefront" and "Paradise Lost" made me see things like the Patriot Act in a whole new light. They first aired some years before the Act, but prove prescient and wise in their advice on how to deal with terrorism.
