    Spider/Bane??

    Spider/Bane, Spider/Bane
In new PvP, What a pain.
Dies a lot, can't get kills.
And you can forget about farming pills.
Hey there, there goes a Spider/Bane (to the hospital again).

    MM patron pick

Huh. Doesn't KOB do like, 2 points of damage when used by a MM?
  3. My solution: email IOs.

Every use of the spam button gives a 1 in 1000 chance of getting an email IO drop.
  4. Purple Purchasing Tips "They"* Don't Want You To Know About!:

    -Buy Recipes, not crafted Purples.
-Don't sell Recipes, craft and sell the crafted Purples instead.
-Turn 1 Purple drop into many by crafting it, selling it, and using the proceeds to buy more Purple recipes, craft and sell them.

*"They" is "Them". You know "Them", "They" don't want you to know "Their" secrets so "That" "They" can secretly run "The" CoX economy from "Their" ivory tower which everyone knows is made of Inf and tears.
  5. I agree, skip Arctic Air and Ice Sword Circle in the low levels. Pick them up post Stamina at your own discretion.

I get through whole missions on my Ice/Ice Dom without having to rest. I always take a column of Endurance Inspirations with me, I use Domination as an Endurance fill, I slot for Endurance reduction (yes, even TOs help!) and I avoid the above-mentioned Endurance hogs in the early game (I usually avoid ISC forever).
  6. I don't care what anyone says about the lore of this game...I love it!
  7. I've seen people claim SR is weak, and I've looked at their builds, and I see things like Dodge being taken at level 41 and many other horrendous mistakes. SR is not underperforming nor is it weak nor does it "need" IOs to be good nor does it need the Medicine Pool.

Brute SR is not worse than Scrapper SR. Brute SR is even better than Scrapper SR.

SR is simply misunderstood by many people, maybe even most. With basic, SOed SR you can and will survive teamwipes on a regular basis. You can take down Archvillains if you choose. The set is just that good. But you have to not skip its powers and you do have to be patient with it in the sub-20 game (you'll be paid dividends for this later by having one of the strongest late-games you can get on a melee, if not the strongest. Carnies, Malta, the groups that make others cry? SR eats 'em up. Mask of Vitiation and Sappers? They don't hurt what they don't hit. Fun fact: Mask of Vitiation has a Ranged component.)

I really need to finish my SR guide.

    Apex Available?

If anyone has any more MArcs featuring the hispanic-greek-god Apex, post your IDs here so I can get a look at them.
  9. If Fiery Melee got ported to Stalkers, EM would be seriously challenged for the title of King of PvP since Fiery has superior single target burst damage. The only thing that would keep Fiery Melee Stalkers in check is Fiery Aura opponents. Though Diminishing Returns would help with that a bit.

I think ultimately EM would retain the crown due to the stuns and the fact it is largely opponent's-armor-set-agnostic.

But you'd still see a lot of FM Stalkers.

    Me among them.

    That'd be sweeeeeeet.
  10. Mind is the go-to PvP set. The Hold is fast and bypasses positional Defense completely and has great damage. My SR Scrapper cries at Widows and Mind Doms (well, until he Taunts them lol). Mind is the best, far and away.

I'll give an honorable mention to Grav. It ain't half bad in PvP (its single targetness hurts it in PvE, but not in PvP). Beware its long animations, though. Its looseness gives plenty of room to take things like Tough and Phase Shift. In I12 PvP you could really stack up the slows, but in PvP 2.0 I think slows are broken.

Fire is good as it also has a very fast Hold, and it's damage is good. Second-best to Mind, though. If you team with Stalkers get the -Perception power for some lolz.
  11. I'll write the minority dissenting opionion:

Part of the beauty of Willpower is that you don't have to take the Fitness Pool. Save yourself 2 or 3 "unfun" utility powers and get some fun powers instead. 4 Slotted Quick Recovery (3 SOs/IOs + Endurance Proc) is more than sufficient.

Lots of people still take Fitness on Willpowers, but truly, there is no need. I consider it wasted power picks to do this. YMMV.

P.S. This becomes even more true when you get Miracle and/or Numina procs in addition to your Quick Recovery. Stamina really is a wasted power at that point.

    More Bosses now?

I like the new bossiness of missions. This happened before a long time ago, but was reverted as it was a bug. I'm hoping its a feature this time, I'm loving it and don't want it to go away.

Bosses, plain vanilla non-Elite Bosses will never be a problem for a properly built and played Dom whether Domination is up or not. And I play Grav.
  13. Either I've had too much green tea or I've just stepped into Bizzaro world. This thread...sheesh! Just...sheesh!

    LOW RESISTS?

    [/ QUOTE ]

Yes. Low Resists. No one stuttered.

ELA's resists in pvp are garbage.

    [/ QUOTE ]

The real fun part is that the Resists are even worse in PvP than in PvE due to Diminishing Returns.
  15. I really can't stand Controllers so it's Doms for me. One of the bright sides of side switching is that (hopefully) you'll be able to put Controller APPs on Doms who've gone to the blue. I'm really hoping for the Stone APP for my Earth/Fiery Dom.
  16. I am happy for those who like this event, and commiserate with those like myself who are beyond done with it. These are nothing special. They happen all the time on Freedom and Virtue. And it makes leveling up my lowbies a real pain.

And if you think this will stop AE PLing, you're wrong.
  17. Having played both, this is what I've noticed:

Playing Ninjitsu I miss SR's Scaling Resists, Knockback protection, 20% Recharge bonus/runspeed bonus/slow resist and most of all it's 95% Defense Debuff Resistance.

Playing SR I miss Ninjitsu's fun toys, heal, low-level AOE Defense and loose build.

Ninjitsu does have a certain vulnerability to being bursted to death with a frequency you don't see on SR. There are certain very devastating attacks in the game that, when they get past your 24%ish Defense that isn't backed up by Scaling Resists, cook your goose very quickly indeed. Playing the Cimerora mission where you fight that Cyclops along with tons of Cimeroran Traitors really drove that home to me today. SR is vulnerable to this to a degree, but Ninjitsu is especially vulnerable to it due to its lower overall Defense and lack of Scaling Resists to fall back on.

That said, Ninjitsu is a great set and very worthy of play. It's fun, it's effective, it has an amazing late game. And exactly the same is true of SR.

How to choose? If you want a more active secondary where you have to click various powers (heal, caltrops, smoke bomb, blinding powder, mez protection clickie) giving a vary fun gadety feel, Ninjitsu is for you.

If you want a secondary that is very passive (Practiced Brawler is usually put on auto by SR players) and therefore allows you to concentrate on offense more instead of having to constantly think about defense, is more easily soft-capped and gives you Defense you can rely on backed up by a Scaling Resist fallback defense, SR is for you.

Personally, SR is my favorite, though I play both and will roll both again in the future, too.
  18. I've got a baby D3 Stalker and the combo seems really great. Plus, you've got the scariest looking Assassin Strike of all (big skull with glowing red eyes followed by your opponent's soul being ripped from its body FTW).

I could see dropping the offensive toggles in favor of the Fighting Pool. But time and experience will tell.
  19. Problem with +Regen is that Willpower already fills that niche for Brutes. If Brutes ever get the Regen set, that'll be another one with +Regen. The Scaling Defense is truly unique and therefore the strongest option IMO. I mean, if you want +Regen, just go with Willpower, you know? But what set can you roll if you want Resists backed up by Scaling Defense? There isn't one. And there could be with this change to ElA.

As to the idea of a Drain Psyche power, I don't think you'll ever see that power or anything like it on a Brute or any other Melee. Unless it's nerfed into near uselessness. Otherwise, it's just too powerful.

Scaling Resists remains the best option IMVHO. It's unique, it isn't overpowering, and it helps ElA become a truly playable set. It fits the Stalker version of ElA like a glove, too.
  20. When I craft I look for a 30% markup over crafting costs (recipe, salvage, cost to craft). The market gets about half of that 30% and I get the remaining 15%. If I sell something and it goes for substantially more than my asking price, my cut of course goes up dramatically.

I happen to be concentrating on Purples right now. Some scary things going on with the price of Purples (up, up, up). My 15% on those usually bring me something like 20 million profit for each Purple I sell. Give or take.
  21. Right now for me it's a tie between Thugs/Pain and Necro/Dark. Both sets give you something to do all the time and they cut through spawns at breakneck speeds.

Worst Mastermind IMO is Bots/FF. You stand around with nothing to do a lot, and Bots kill slowly compared to any other primary (save Mercs).
  22. My only regret about the evil seductress is that there isn't a "choke a man to death with your thighs" attack.

    'Cause that would be perfect.
  23. QR
And I'll reiterate CO and DC are both giving this sort of slider/bodytype ability for free with their games.

Very interesting the only counter-arguments I'm hearing here are ad homs about whining and entitlement. How does keeping up with the competition strike you as an argument in favor of sliders for everyone? Pretty good one, I'd say.
