  1. Currently Endurance Reduction Enhancements are Schedule A (maxing out at 38%). Endurance Reduction Enhancements should be moved to Schedule D (maxing out at 69%).

    The benefits of this are that Staminaless builds become more viable and the sub-20 game becomes less problematic for Endurance management. This helps the game become even more fun, while maintaining Endurance and Endurance management as valid aspects of the game (ie, the schedule change, while helpful, would not effectively eliminate Endurance and its management from the game).

    I watched Wanted. I never liked tattoos that much before, but I must say that movie made me a fan. Also, there were pistols in it. Did you know you can bend the path of a bullet just by whipping the pistol it's fired from from side to side? Well, that and having a Magic Origin, of course. The Magic Origin helps. And tattoos. Beautiful, wonderful tattoos.

  4. You pick Regen over WP because Quick Recovery comes at like level 4 and backing off from a spawn of enemies isn't a death sentance like it can be with WP.

    You pick WP over Regen if you like the idea of Regen but you don't like clicking.

  6. Predictions for Issue 16 and beyond (all IMHO):

    -Redside population will fall off even more as people take the Archetypes they like and go "home" with them.

    -Tankers will become more popular with I16's enhanced difficulty slider (soloing a Tanker with 8 man spawns is very attractive).

    -HEATs will decline in popularity as people "replace" them with Hero VEATs.

    -Stalkers will increase in popularity as the Heroes get to do to Villains what Villains have been doing to them all these years in PvP zones.

    -The overall popularity of PvP (especially zone PvP) will drop off even more as both sides bring the same few Archetypes, homogenizing PvP completely.

    Conclusion: Redside needs content very badly to attract players. PvP needs something to stem an ever decreasing popularity (cross-server zones and a zone revamp would do wonders in this regard IMHO). The prognosis for blueside PvE is very good.

    If the Brute reaches Tanker survivability only through outside buffs, Tanker damage should only reach Brute levels through outside buffs as well. Tankers buffing their own damage to Brute levels isn't well balanced.
  8. I still haven't gotten an explanation for why Stalkers would even want Ice Melee, one of the worst damage sets going.

    So, why?

    Consider replacing Bash with Mace Beam.
    Skip CT:O.
    If you want Hurdle, skip the Teleportation Pool. If you want the Teleportation Pool, think about skipping Hurdle though I think I know why you're taking it (leaping Shatters).
    You're taking TT:M too late.
    Take MT later.
    You're taking Placate too late.
    Skip Stealth (it won't stack with CD in PvE or PvP).
    Skip GI.
    Skip Phase.
  12. Doms will get Illusion, it's only a matter of time. For I16 they asked themselves "Illusion or Earth Assault?" and due to Earth Control they went with Earth Assault.

    Either one of those would have been complete win.

    So, Fly poses...

    I'd say it's a safe assumption that fly poses will be added to Fly in I6. Take Fly, choose the pose you want, off you go. Use binds to change to a different pose from the one you hose mid-flight.

  21. What really bothers me about RIs thematically is you have these ships coming to attack a city full of Heroes and nobody but nobody (except in very rare circumstances when someone gets dozens of people together; and this almost never happens) flies up to challenge the ships and take them out.

    Mechanics-wise this is because the ships are too powerful. Make them Elite Boss level instead of Giant Monster or whatever they are right now. I want to see people fly up and start taking those ships out every time the Rikti invade. That's what should happen in a city of Heroes.

    P.S. Sometimes all I want to do is level up at Ms Liberty or some other practical thing and with an invasion on, forget it. I have to just quit the game and go do something else instead. That's frustrating.

    P.S. The best argument I've seen for Earth's Embrace not being in the set is the fact it is in the Controller APP, and if crossed-over Dominators get access to that APP, then that would be broken to have 2 EE's.
  24. I think the ability to set 8 man spawns in the new difficulty system will be the saving grace of Tankers. If you can set 8 man spawns, all the sudden Tankers look like a good soloing Archetype. I wouldn't mind seeing Tankers get Defiance 1.0, or perhaps some kind of damage boost based on how many enemies are aggroed on them though. And Brutes shouldn't be nerfed. There's simply no need. The times when they are buffed into overperformance are really pretty rare in game.

    The real problem as I see it with GR is redside population. People will largely leave redside not because it is an inferior gaming experience (it's better designed mechanics-wise than blueside as we all know) but because:

    -it's more fun for them to be a Hero
    -system requirements on blue side are slightly lower (and therefore system performance is somewhat better)
    -blueside is where they started. It's their "home".
    -more zones (quantity over quality, but that's slowly changing with revamps)
    -more TFs.
    -better market.
    -blue aesthetics preferred over red aesthetics.

    Right now it's about 2:1 to 3:1 Hero:Villain. Post GR (a year or so after its launch), you'll probably be looking at 4:1 to 5:1. Or worse.

    And PvP is a bit less fun (IMHO) when both sides are bringing exactly the same Archetypes.
  25. Look at your Recovery numbers for your VEATs and those of any other Arch you've got. The numbers for the non-VEAT add up, those for the VEAT don't. There's a problem with VEAT recovery.
