    Yes, but you should never take Thunder Kick on Martial Arts characters. Easily the worst power in the set.

  4. Yes, the procs I'm talking about are the Disorient procs (I didn't specify because my question was on the math and I didn't want other, potentially confusing, details).

    I was weighing two options for my build: the 5 procs I've got now, or Damage/Recharge Enhacements that would provide another 10% or so of damage plus about 15% Recharge (both are taking ED into account).

    Based on the above math, I'm ditching the Disorient procs in favor of the bit of extra Damage and Recharge. Especially considering those are of benefit 100% of the time, where the procs are of benefit significantly less (in fact, in any one set of 5 attacks, you could count on them not firing; to me, that's pretty bad. YMMV.)

    In terms of practical play, they were really underwhelming. Their one and only charm was that Eagle's Claw would disorient a Boss 10% of the time (EC's Disorient+proc). Cute, but anything but reliable.

    I can see using those procs on an Energy Melee character though, just to make its secondary effects even more ridiculous lol.

    So 59% chance that none of them will go off, and 41% chance that one will go off. Basically no chance for them to all go off. So, on any given run-through of the 5 powers, none of the procs will go off, most likely.

    This has really clarified some build decisions for me. The math seems to agree with my in-game perception of performance of these procs.

  6. Yeah, every Blaster I've ever rolled ends up deleted in the mid 20s for some reason. I don't fully understand why, but something happens in that range that sucks the fun out of Blasters for me.

    Doms of course I can't get enough of. Especially after the changes. Hands down my favorite Archetype.

  8. A proc has a 10% chance of going off. There are a total of 5 procs. What are the chances that one proc goes off? What are the chances all of the procs go off?

    Same here. I like the MA animations. I can now make a super strong Invulnerability Scrapper complete with punches rather than kicks. I've got a really great concept for it. The punching MA makes a great alternative for characters that are more of a low-order super strength than standard Super Strength. Way stronger than a normal person, but not so strong that you can rip up concrete and throw it or create a shock-wave by clapping your hands together.

    And Claws on Brutes is win. Claws will build Fury so fast, it'll be amazing. I'll just make sure to take Focused Accuracy due to the weaksauce that is Followup. It might be the first character I actually carry a column of Yellows on lol. I'm torn between a wolfman (not werewolf, wolfman) and catgirl for the concept. I have plenty of time to decide (and might go with both lol; ALTITUS!)
  11. Don't forget to take Can Chunk Lite Tuna. It's the uberest Mako power of 'em all.
  12. The set that comes closest to doing this is Dark Armor. DA is situationally the best PvE melee armor in the game.

    I don't think you'll be doing much tanking on a Stalker, though. Come Going Rogue, you'll be able to tank with a Tanker instead.

    P.S. Tanking with Brutes is just wrong. Yes, I'm old school. Every time a Brute herds, Statesman saves a Hero. And that's gross.

    First, if it doesn't let you skip Stamina, it's useless.

    Random rolls are way more fun than saving. Vegas is successful for a reason.

    P.S. And in the long run, you get just as much Inf from rring as from saving (unlike Vegas lol).
  15. The answer, as ever, is to give players a viable alternative to the market for getting IOs. Not a replacement, but a viable alternative.

  20. Having it act as a Break Free is the best suggestion for PB I've heard.

    One of the neatest things in this game is when you defeat someone, and then PB refreshes so you look like you're showing off for your victory. I love when that happens. That little "elbow pullback" is one of the coolest animations in the game.

  21. Just wait until Going Rogue. You've not even seen homogeneity until that thing releases. PvP will be in heap big trouble with both sides using the same 3 Archetypes and the same 6 powersets.

    Spines outperforms BS in PvP by quite a margin, and when it comes to single target burst (the most important PvP metric) BS is about equal to Martial Arts.

    I'd roll an EM Scrapper in a heartbeat. That set would be downright lethal on a Scrapper.

    Assassin's Blow is the most hilarious power name in the game. So many levels.

    MA is going to be FOTM in I16 with the new animations. The replayability of the set will be very high, too (make a puncher, a kicker and a punch-kicker).
  24. I'd prefer Build Up, but Power Boost is great on Doms and the set looks pretty incredible overall, with a weak early game. Can't wait to play it!

    P.S. A Dom with Tremor (which is basically the same as Foot Stomp IIRC)? Wow. Nice! My favorite power is Hurl Boulder though. I love that power for some reason!
