  2. Just wanted to ask a thing about the Khelds... Why is it that I see so many Khelds (especially PBs) with invis? Is there a reason to pick invis as a Kheld?

    Just asking because I cant see any reason for it after playing my PB to 50
  3. Hehe, the -4% for Melee, Ranged and AoE doesnt matter at all really if the typed defences are over that. Remember, the def is always calculated for the highest defence factor. Say, if someone attacks you with impale and your defence stats are:
    10% for Lethal
    0% for Toxic
    -4% for Ranged
    You will have 10% defence against impale because it's a lethal/toxic ranged attack and your highest defence factor against it is the 10% against lethal.

    And for the presence pool.. That's just my personal opinion. Didnt like it much for pve because some powers are much better and more needed
  4. True, the high smash/lethal resistance really helps pre-20 where most of the damage is S/L.
    The DEF part there is just awesome for powers like aid self, I think.
    And when I just think of the pre-I9 SR defence levels combined with invuln resistances it just gets me drooling to find those 10 enemies
  5. On my invuln scrapper I've had the power from lvl 28. Started in I3 and I'm lvl 50 now.. Never regretted taking the power. The taunt isnt as bad as people think, invincibility is one of the best powers of the set and should be taken as soon as possible.

    First of all, /invuln scrappers ftw! I've been playing mine since I3 and it's coming even better as the issues come.

    I only currently have the resist energies passive slotted with the Steadfast Protection: +3% Defence unique IO. Mostly got it for the +3% psi def though. If you have the space in your build to get both those passives (before anything else more important like travel, stamina etc) and slots to put in them I think it's worth to slot them with 3 impervium armors in each (+3% psi res, res and a res/rechg) to get 6% psi res and 4.5% psi def total.

    Neither of those two is needed though. I picked resist elements at lvl 49 in my build.

    For IOs that increase survivability I'd say your best bet is +rechg (to get dull pain up more often and eventually get it perma), +psi res/def (to fill in the hole of invuln) and after that +regen and +recov (to keep toggles running and HP regenning).

    The defence of invuln is actually great. With my build I'm getting 30% def versus all but psi (against which I have 20% def at all times) when there's 10 or more enemies around me. That's quite a lot I'd say.
    Tough isnt something I'd consider a must for an invuln scrapper. I dont have it and I prefer aid self anyway (and that's what I have atm).

    Actually, those 2 slots are there so I can get a doctored wounds set there for the 5% rechg bonus. This is just the build with SOs because I cant afford the IO'd one yet. In fly I will put 2x flyspeed IO

    I dont think the heals in instant heal do much a difference really.. And the slots are in integration for the set anyway. I'm also going to put some sets in the attacks to get better percentages.

  19. Looks quite similar as to what I planned for my SS/elec (which I ended up deleting though) so I'd say it looks good. Also, if you're teaming with a /thermal you might consider dropping the RES IOs from overcharge (or whatever the tier 9 from elec is :P) and grounded and put them into something more useful

    With the recharge to IB and BIB, should I remove the dam/end of thunderstrike set from them and replace that with the rechg IO? I thought this would be best percentagewise but then might leave me with too few endurance reduction in my attacks. Would dam/rech be a better choice?

    I dont think I'm going to slot aid self with sets. At least yet...

    Aid other vs Stimulant; I might chuck in a heal IO in aid other (that's what I have on my main) to reduce downtimes and heal people using awakens etc.

    Is 2x rechg IO good enough in hibernate? I've never had the power so cant really comment on that.. Also, if I'm freeing the 2x rechg from BFR (or 1 if I put in 3 hold IOs) I could put that in shiver instead of removing a rechg from hibernate.

  23. Yeah it goes down as normally. It's a question about the percentage, not the enhancements. ED hits in (for DEF/RES) at around 50%, so 2x IO + 1 SO will easily get you to maximum, 2 IOs is nearly there. 3 IOs + 2 SOs is only a few percent better than 3 IOs.
