    Will be magic origin, but as far as I'm aware the magic temp power will be able to light it too, right? And if not I hope phantasm will do it

    I could make it tech if this was not the case, however.

    Ok looked at your advice and made another build. Still have fly/hover there and 3 flight speeds in hover/swift. Removed medicine and spectral wounds in favour of assault/tactics/veng.

    Decided to roll an illu/TA controller now that with I11 bow can get some quite good looking skins..
    I'd like to know about this build is it any good? I'm not going to do any PvP with this, just PvE.

  5. Hm, now that I have time I had a closer look at the build. Mostly the enhancement part.

    With tactics I suppose you meant 3x cyto HOs?
    And power build up, with just 1 attack (which you wont even use) you're not going to need those membranes for sure. I mean, what's good with the ToHit if you dont use anything that requires a TH check?
  6. Well, as I said in the post I have never tried DM past lvl 4 and claws past lvl 12 that might have caused the mistakes
  7. Logitech G15 by any chance? It actually has 3x 18 macro buttons
  8. Let's see...

    Primaries
    Martial arts: This one is pretty good early on, you get your second strongest attack by lvl 8 and a strong attack chain by lvl 18 (thunder kick, storm kick, crane kick, axe kick)

    Spines: This one is a late bloomer, you get two of the attacks you really need only at 26 and 32.

    Katana: Katana is also a late bloomer, best attacks at lvl 26 and 32. It is an awesome set after that though

    Broad sword: Same as katana

    Claws: I've never tried this set but from what I can gather I'd say this set has everything you need by lvl 26 so it's somewhat between a late bloomer and instant go go.

    Dark melee: This really shares opinions. If you go by the Shadow punch-smite-shadow maul-air superiority model you can have all that by lvl 6 and go pwn stuff. It is quite a nice set in the beginning levels but gets the best stuff at 18/26 and then the best/worst, depending on who you ask, at 32.


    Secondary sets

    Dark armor: This set blooms early, you can get everything you need by lvl 16 (dark embrace, murky cloud, obsidian shield, dark regen).

    Regen: Same as dark, by lvl 16 you have quite a nice defensive capability and you get your godmode at lvl 28.

    Super reflexes: Late bloomer. Proper AoE def only at level 35.

    Invuln: This set only starts to shine (literally ) when you get Invincibility at level 28. I'd say it is a bit of a late bloomer

    I'm not a PvP or a stalker expert but couple of things I think should be changed...

    1) Swap Mu patron for Scorpio, the hold has -fly (and maybe -jump too?) which is nice in PvP.
    2) AS, 3 damage which I think is what you meant instead of 3 acc
    3) 2 acc in all attacks or a set.
    4) You might want to move 3rd speed and a heal from health to ToHit in BU.
    5) If you're not only PvPing in RV get stealth earlier

  13. As I said, I'm a new PvPer so what I want/need isnt that clear ...

    I was told I need a lot of recharge for PvP as a spines/SR. Dont have a clue about anything else

    Also, I'm not looking at a specific zone at the moment. A zone where a lot of PvP happens would be the best I think. RV looked nice when I was there once..

  15. Actually, AoEs dont reveal them - before you start telling me they do read this: I've personally tried this and been [censored] because they dont reapper. However, this is only the case if they've cast a -perception debuff on you. The bane spiders can and will be revealed when an AoE hits them. The -percep buff casters are only revealed when they hit you which I find pretty strange.

    Anyways, the solution is to get a power like tactics or carry a lot of yellows.

    RPD and Tough hide I'd recommend slotting with 3 Dam Res/3xDef. mainly because you'll have a higher cap against lethal and Smashing with RPD and Tough hide negates the -def from unyielding perfectly.

    I agree on the Resist elements/Energies, mainly because the levels are so pants it's not worth it. Some recommend trying to get Aid self in there somewhere but I've managed without it.

    Well, the point in not slotting the passives lies in the fact that the SOs dont do much. 3x even lvl SOs in RPD only give you a little resistance.

    Resist physical damage
    5.63% * (1 + 0.55) = 9% (3 even lvl SOs)
    5.63% * (1 + 0.2) = 6.7% (1 even lvl SO)

    As the above formulas show, you're getting 2.3% more resistance using 2 slots which I do not think is beneficial. Those slots could be used better if you ask me. Same goes with Tough Hide.

    Tough hide
    3.75% * (1 + 0.55) = 5.8% (3 even lvl SOs)
    3.75% * (1 + 0.2) = 4.5% (1 even lvl SO)

    Again, using 2 slots on this power only gives you 1.3% more defence which is hardly worth the slots. As you can see, even with just 1 SO in Tough Hide you're negating the -def from unyielding.

    I'm still convinced my build is the best MA/inv you can have without IOs

  19. Few things I'd comment on:

    Slotting:

    Resist physical damage, resist elements, resist energies and tough hide. These arent worth slotting for 3res/3def to be honest. I wouldnt even get REL and REN.

    Tough: I'd slot this one with 2x endredux and 3x dmgres.

    Unstoppable: 3x rech and 1x res would be my slotting here to get you to res caps with it running.

    Focused accuracy: 3 endreducers is a must for this. With only 3 slots in it use Cytoskeleton HOs to max it out.

    Other than that the builds look good.

  21. A good solo combo with SS I'd recommend is SS/elec. Elec has resistances to every type of damage except toxic and it has good endurance management (conserve energy, end drain) and a good godmode power. Also with lightning reflexes you can easily get perma rage.

    Just be sure to get aid self if the lack of heal puts you off.
