iii) Rugged - 10% influence penalty + 2 salvage items
    iv) Unyielding - 10% inf + 5 random items
    <snip>

    [/ QUOTE ]

Wait wait.. Does that mean 10% of the inf you're currently carrying? Because if it does I'd be seriously against it until we have a way to store inf somewhere... I mean, currently my main has about 360mil on him, saved up for when I get my ice/MM blaster to 50 and start IOing him. For me it would mean a loss of 36mil inf if I happened to be defeated on my main. Not exactly fun... It might work if we had a way to store inf in a vault like recipes etc.

That would most likely just make people who are in a situation like me (yeah yeah, maybe not many but we're paying customers too) just avoid playing those characters.
  2. PvP: strike is better, because it's single target and not a PBAoE. Although, melee is still quite gimped in pvp... But anyways, that's the pick for PvP.

PvE: Spin is better if you like to play in teams, for a PvE soloer strike might still be a better choice.
  3. *drool*

Now then I have to get my BS scrapper up to 35 to do this TF twice, and there's still so many other toons to level..!

    Psy vs Sound

I havent even touched the psychic primary for blasters yet... But I do read patch notes

    Psy vs Sound

    [ QUOTE ]
Psi, bring the longest range attack primary

    [/ QUOTE ]

Actually the range of psi attacks was reduced to 80 feet like most blaster primary attacks to bring it in line with them.
  6. [ QUOTE ]
Used to be a lvl 50 would get over 100k debt for every death, no matter where that death was. That usually took most of the rest of the mission to clear instead of clearing the current mob.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Which is how it should work tbh.
  7. Whoah...

Wall of Text hits you for 2349864397 points of psionic damage!
    You are Stunned!

Yeah, it might be a good idea to edit the text a bit. A few simple things, like capitals, spaces after commas and full stops etc. would help it a lot.
  8. Pretty much agree with all you just said Maelwys

The argument most people use is the old "but the farmers have lots and lots of inf and they can outbid everyone thus increasing the cost of items". This is not exactly true... If there were no farmers the supply of items would be scarce for most of the rares. Low stock on rares gives us high costs for those items and then we'd have the same thing again. "Those people who play more have lots and lots of inf and they can outbid everyone thus increasing the cost of items".

So, after all the problem is that that farmers/HC players/players who play much/whatever else you can think of all have the edge over the casual player. In any situation the prices will be a bit high for a casual player who doesnt farm/repeat mishes/play lots.

Whichever way I think about the economy and farmers I really cannot see what is the negative impact of farmers on the economy...
  9. [ QUOTE ]
    Don't touch the debt, please.

    [/ QUOTE ]

But debt incurred after a defeat should be a bit higher.. I mean, what's the point of avoiding defeat if the penalty takes place for only 1 or 2 minutes of your life when you're most of the time just lying on the ground waiting for an awaken or rez! The penalty is pretty much non-existant
  10. Katana/inv - L50
    MA/regen - L50
    MA/SR - deleted at L33
    Spines/SR - L50
    BS/fire - L27, what I'm currently playing
  11. Fire/kin, lv50
    Ice/rad, lv50
    Illu/therm, lv26

So far liked all of them quite much.. But have to say, fire/kin the least. Whilst it does give the great superhero feel in the farm mish it aint any more super than my other toons in normal teams
  12. Would be nice if you have a mid 30s/40s character you dont like anymore because of the body type... Also I dont see any harm in this so why say no?

Anyway, one of my friends has a mid 20s character he would want to have a different body type. Sure, it's not very high level but if you only get to play 1-4 hours a week he can at best get back to that level in 2 weeks. So yeah, I vote yes for this one.
  13. People moan too much about the way people play this game. Everyone pays just as much every month to be able to play and as long as they play by the rules no one should interfere.

On a sidenote, I do agree with upping the debt from each death. Currently it doesnt actually have any effect. You die, team clears mob and by the time you've used your wakie the debt is gone. Hardly a penalty is it...

  14. Slotted the build and put IOs in it. 50%'ish def to melee/ranged/aoe

  15. Me? I never actually even played claws past lvl 12... And the widow secondary (secondaries?) are quite different from any set I have played.

Anyways, here's my try at a night widow build. No slots yet, trying to get powers right before fiddling with slots.

  16. Well my problem is mostly I cant fit in all the powers I think are needed for a widow

Basically what I'm after is a skeleton build I can adjust to my playstyle.
  17. Yeah.. Would be nice if someone with a night widow at 50 (or at higher levels anyway) could post their build here for us widow newbies
  18. So as the title says, I rolled a Night Widow earlier today and when I tried to sort out a build for her I came to a dead end. I dont have a clear idea of what a night widow is supposed to do in a team so wasn't sure of any power picks...

I'd be very pleased if someone could make a build for my Night Widow. Power pools I want in are fitness (stamina), flight (concept, hover + fly preferably) and speed (for hasten but this is not a must have).
  19. DSorrow

    Hunter?

    AR/traps corruptor maybe?
  20. Also hover with a couple of stacked siphon speeds can make it a pseudo-fly and it's also a great travel power in mishes.
  21. Always a good idea. A sonic/sonic is something everyone loves for AV fights because you can stack so damn much -res on the AV it can be taken down with brawl

On a serious note though, I only ever played a sonic/ defender so cant really comment on sonic blast but there are a lot of good reasons to roll a sonic/sonic I can think of straight away:

[1]The shields, as a corr I think your shields should give everyone about 50% res to all but psi which brings most people with any resistance powers to resistance cap!

[2]Clarity, mez protection and +percep? While you dont need and shouldnt (imo) spam this all the time it is great for keeping squishies without mez protection out of trouble and freeing anyone else from mez when needed. Also if you're ever against GW your tank will love this.

[3]The -res!! With disruption field and sonic siphon you should be able to stack about -50% resistance on one target. That alone is a hell load of -res on say, an AV. Add the -res from sonic attacks to that and see your target cry

Yeah, then there is 3 powers in sonic I wouldn't take for PvE play: sonic cage, the KB aura (forgot the name), and liquefy. I've tried all of them except the KB aura and didnt find them useful enough in PvE to be worth a power slot.
  22. Just go pwn 'em. I'd leave them alone though if they were fighting NPCs, really annoying and cowardly if you attack someone who's fighting an NPC already...

    E/E epic

I prefer ice mastery for all purposes... AoE slow, AoE sleep, good S/L defence shield and hibernate. Covers pretty much everything a blaster might want!
