  1. One word: AWESOME!

I can't say how much I like this stuff. Things like ITF will be much, much easier to organize now. Also goodbye to bridge/pad requests! Wee!
  2. As a general advice for an Ice tank, I'd suggest you go about finding set bonuses in this order:

First: Smash/Lethal and Energy/Negative Defense bonuses
    Second: HP and Regeneration bonuses
Third: Recharge (and Recovery if you for some unfathomable reason need more than Stamina and Energy Absorption)

    Also, cool tags.
  3. It's certainly doable with a Kat/Inv, so I can't see why a properly built Kat/Dark couldn't do it.

    ice/mental ?

I'll join the chorus... Ice/Mental is definitely one of the best rounded blaster combos out there. You have very nice ST damage, good AoE damage and good survivability (mez, DP and WoC).

    I went for an all-out recharge build on mine to maximize damage output;

Well, I kind of assumed that he wanted to change powersets, but keep the name.
  7. It isn't a speed bump at all, to be honest. You only need to defeat 100 Overseers or complete a Rularuu TF to get your hands on the Rularuu weapons. It's easy to find Overseers 6 levels below your own, so it would be stupid to skip Invuln just because it might be marginally easier (REALLY marginally, -6 enemies deal next to no damage, against resists or not) to get the Rularuu stuff.

Besides, my build has enough Ranged defense to take care of the enemy groups that include Psi damage, but don't excessively spam me with it (Carnies and Rikti for example).
  8. Here's my Kat/Inv scrapper's current build. I haven't tried tanking for groups yet, but I guess it could pull it off. At least it could take pounding from 3 AVs long enough for me to solo defeat them all

The empty slot in RPD is for the PvP 3% Def IO.

It's worth noting, though that Stone Melee is considerably harder on Endurance than Ice Melee.

    Fire/Pain

I rolled a Fire/Pain corr a couple of weeks after corruptors got Pain Domination. The character was quite fun until the 30s when it started to feel sluggish. I made it to 50 after a while and pretty much abandoned the character. Now I'm trying to breath some life into the corruptor by IOing her up. The thing is, though, I don't have that much inf redside, so I'm trying to keep the build at a reasonable price.

I'm trying to get some global recharge (all around useful) and ranged defense at a moderate budget. For endurance I'll be relying pretty much on Power Sink until (if ever) I get the +End accolades.

The build is strictly a PvE one.

  13. The poor-by-choice don't deserve any sympathy. If you don't want to play the market / pay attention to the prices you set when selling stuff, don't come here and cry because you don't have any money. You cannot, after all, expect influence to be given for doing nothing? It comes in heaps if you're willing to do very little.

This also goes for impatient people (includes me sometimes as well). If you can't wait for a couple of days or a week to save influence (sometimes LARGE amounts of influence), don't come here and cry because you ran out of money.
  14. That was a very nice summary!

I would also add one thing, which goes for pretty much any game (and IRL, too); Why do you need to be the best when close-to-the-best is about as good? Because, close-to-the-best isn't the best. (Eg. 44% Def vs 45% Def)

It's surprisingly often true that people are willing to spend large amounts of in-game currency to improve their performance by very little.
  15. Nope, it's dependent on the level of the user, and the damage scales up/down if you SK/exemp.
  16. The point of my post is that not everyone on this board speaks English as their first language. It's sometimes extremely hard to try and understand the kind of gibberish the OP posted here... My post tried to be sarcastic about it :P
  17. no not 5 kinds of brawl we need brawl kick punch that sort of stuff u understand what im saying i mean we can punch already we dont need more brawl we need kick i mean we all know kick a birth why cant we do it in game
  18. I might be able to give some sensible advice on your problem, but I have to admit I couldn't understand a thing. While this wall of text that you posted might fill your criteria for sentences (a string of [any] words = sentence ?), you'll need to add some punctuation if you want other people to understand it.

i mean what if we all wrote our posts like this no one could understand us and whats the deal with people living in europe why they posting here too its insane also why blasters got ranged attacks and scrappers dont they are both damage dealers whats the deal with this oh and can someone tell me how to understand whatever the op is trying to tell us i dont understand why do i need to buy the power full auto from assault rifle i mean everyone can pull down the trigger and shoot its not so hard everyone been in army can do that i mean i been in army i can do that everyone else can too

Correct. Membranes would work as well, and they'd actually be better for this, but Enzymes only cost a fraction of their price.

No, e-peen measurements are srsbiznis. The scrapper clearly had a bigger e-peen than the tanker, so the tank had to do something about it.

Well, that figure was off the top of my head, a more accurate number of what a tank has with only the +20% HP from Accolades and nothing else (no IOs or powers with +HP) would be about 2250HP.

    Ice/Ice Build

I like Shannon's version of the build a bit more. Especially the N/E Defense department. For some reason you (Deth) have left Glacial Armour barely slotted, and picked much later than I'd recommend, like in your other Ice Armour builds.

Glacial Armor covers half of Ice Armour's Defense, so, IMO, it isn't a very good idea not to slot it well.

And how is that a bad thing?

It just makes it competent with some of the top sets, which I think is only a good thing.
