I take them as early as I can. Usually it's between levels 14 and 20. I don't recall having a character that has taken it later than level 30.

I think what would be a good finishing touch for Invuln tweaking, is changing around Resist Energies and Invincibility. This would allow Scrappers to get Invincibility at 20 and Tankers to get it at 12.
It's not really needed, but would surely help Invuln tankers with keeping aggro pre-18. -
Quote:QFTNot sure quite what you're asking, but I'd recommend this:
Fitness: Hurdle, Health, Stamina
Oh, wait, that's exactly what txpoodoo said. So dittos!
Leaping: Combat jumping, Super jump
Speed: Hasten
Fighting: Boxing, Tough, Weave
EDIT: What's wrong with capital letters not working every time? -
I can't wait to get to get another tool to melt faces with on at least my FM/SR and MA/WP. Probably my Spines/SR and Fire/SR scrappers will get this, too.

With salvage or a cheap recipe it's often the case of WANT IT NAO, so I won't hesitate paying a couple hundred thousand extra.
If it's a recipe or a few recipes to finish out a build and I got some extra cash I'll bid extra up to about 120% of going price, depending on price of course. If it's a recipe selling for 1-5mil I can easily bid 10mil if I really WANT IT NAO, but if it's 40mil I'll most likely stop bidding at 50mil. -
I'd probably go for fighting in this case. You can already deal damage, plant hefty debuffs and buff your allies. Why not get something for yourself this time?
Besides, a dead [insert AT] is a useless [insert AT], unless you're the designated veng/fallout bait. -
Post the build in the phpBB / Zetaboards format.

With IOs, as suggested earlier, it is a very good idea to aim for Defense set bonuses. On top of that, any regen, recharge, +HP and +recovery will be very useful.

I was there. It was 9PM where I live, which is GMT +2 zone, so it had to be 7PM GMT.
Sadly I didn't win anything -
Updated the guide a bit. Mostly just changed some of the wording, but a couple of powers got new ratings, too, and I changed the Mid's code to work with the new forum.

Modest fee? And I thought it was free! Saving all this inf up only led to another expenditure, I am disappointed! :P
-
So. 2 billion. Am I in the club now?
What I'm especially proud of: this character isn't a farmer and no inf has been transferred. Also a multibillion build if that counts for anything
EDIT: Someone teach me how to directly post pics... -
Quote:It seems you didn't get his point. Comparing ST focused set to an AoE focused set is stupid and leads to nothing. Comparing two AoE focused sets, on the other hand, could prove useful. Energy Blast is a middle of the road set for blasters, it has average ST damage and average AoE damage with some mitigation. It's similar to the sword sets on scrappers, they also got average AoE damage, average ST damage and mitigation. If you want to compare, do it with two similar sets, it's just stupid to compare a middle of the road set like Energy Blast to an AoE king set like Spines. And how would the AR/Mental (gah! overkill on the cones!
) compare to Broadsword/inv in ST? We can play with words, but I can't help but feel you argue my point. To a point. If you admit to imbalances between the ATs powersets, my nuke suggestion for instance would help the sets with traditional nukes. Letting Frozen Aura benefit from a damage compartment, would make Ice Manipulation more viable. That sort of thing.

Well, -DEF and ToHit are kind of the same thing.. Much like +DMG and -RES
Different sides of the same coin. (No need to tell me -RES is more effective than +DMG) -
Power sink.
Faster recharge and it's autohit. -
Simple. Me and 7 others who know how to play their characters. What else is needed for steamrolling?
-
Quote:Well, none of those seem like a particularly good reason for me.Oh, lessee, reasons given that I've seen...
1. It doesn't feel heroic. 'This isn't City of Stock Brokers'.
2. I don't want to spend my valuable online time standing around in the market all day.
3. I don't want to support filthy farmers/filthy manipulators/filthy RMT outfits.
4. I shouldn't have to pay X for Y.
5. Don't like markets, feels too much like RL.
1. Sell everything for 1 inf, you'll help someone that way. Most of the times you'll get more inf than from selling to contacts anyway.
2. It doesn't take long to put everything for sale at 1 inf. If you want to maximize profits it might take some time, though.
3. It's not necessary to bid BAI IT NAO prices. Bid 50% of it and expect to wait some time.
4. This is just ridiculous.
5. I'd say if you don't want to marketeer (which is totally different from using the market) don't do it, but it would just be stupid to delete / vendor trash all of your recipes instead of selling them. Someone out there might need one of those recipes. Scarcity produces high prices, and someone deleting recipes produces scarcity. -
As others have said, -HP is the most powerful of all DeBuffs. Once you cap the -HP you've permanently disabled your enemy.
And no need to get overly aggressive Wavicle... Just because your point of view differs from that of others does not mean you are right and everyone else is wrong. Enough +DMG/-RES and nothing lives long enough to pose a threat, so I don't see why you couldn't call it mitigation. A slightly skilled player can use even +MovementSpeed for mitigation. -
Why would anyone want to avoid the market?
I hope it's not "I don't want to taint myself with capitalism", because that's just lol-worthy. -
Noooo! Don't touch my Invuln because nothing's wrong with it!
RPD is now a great power thanks to 25% Def Debuff resistance. No reason to switch it with TI to allow Brutes and Scrappers to choose when RPD is now an obvious pick.
Also don't touch Invincibility's Defense. I don't want more Resistance. I want to keep the Defense. Not being hit = 100% Resistance = Invulnerability. See where I'm going? :P
P.S. I could agree on renaming Temp Invuln into something more fitting, and also switching Invincibility to a lower tier (especially from a Tanker PoW). Fiddling with the power effects, on the other hand, gets a no from me. -
This is the build I've succesfully used on my FM/SR AV soloer.
Notice slotting of Tough to allow it being used during AV fights (could move a slot or two from the passives to get better Res/End). Also a couple of spots to put LotG +Rech IOs into if you're willing to spend the money. It's worth noting, though that they aren't needed to run an attack chain of Incinerate > Cremate > GFS > FS.
