Yes, but you could get the item you're looking for at a lesser price if you're willing to wait. :P
That's the core of the problem as I see it. People who are reluctant to wait pay exorbitant prices instead of waiting, say, 48 hours. I don't even think waiting that 48 hours is bad because you can do other things during those hours, it'd be another case if I had to watch at the WW screen until I get what I want... -
I think he means defensive debuffs as in debuffs that help the team survive longer, including -tohit and -def. Trick arrow is indeed light on that department seeing as it mostly does -res and -def with some control.

Here's something I threw together quickly...

In your example, it'll use 20% defense. I'm not sure which defense is applied if all the three are the same, but it doesn't go on checking other defenses if one fails. That is, if your 20% psi def is "overcome" the game doesn't move on to check the attack again on the smashing defense.
Basically, the highest (only one if there are multiple equal defenses) defense type (ranged, melee, fire, smashing, etc.) applicable to the attack is used to determine whether you're hit or not.
Hope this clarified it... :S -
Okay... The tanker that fits the high regen and def/res cap vicinity is a stone tanker, but the problem is that it is sloooow and doesn't do too much damage (-speed, -rech, -dam in it's "godmode" toggle). Teaming with a kinetics can fix this.
High regen and HP, that's WP. You can easily get 70hp/sec regen and capped HPs. The set also has an +recovery power. Not too hard to cap defenses either, but the resistances are mediocre at best.
Invuln can be made nearly as sturdy as a stone tanker with proper investment. You can have soft capped defenses with 1 enemy in melee range in addition to capped S/L resistance and the exotic resistances in the 30s.
For strong attacks in the secondary I'd go for stone melee, super strength, fire melee, energy melee (EM does lack AoE, though) or the upcoming elec melee. -
Had this happen to me a couple of times, too. No help available so it seems the only option is to bite the bullet and adapt to the situation without the merits.
-
I'd join, but knowing my luck I'd just end up losing my money. I prefer stuff that doesn't rely on luck, but rather something else, such as laziness of my fellow players (marketeering ftw!).
Besides, are EU servers even in this thing? -
There's one thing, though that should be noted here I think. While I'm no expert on economics I am very, very keen on my money and I bet I'm not the only one. What I'm getting to is that if the curve is too steep people that have extremely valuable items they want to sell might just skip the market altogether and sell it over a marketing channel to save on the fees.
-
Quote:I always lol when I see this.
Cost way too much to buy goodies there
People should stop treating the WW/BM as a store and instead start treating it as a consignment house where you bid on stuff and might have to wait. Skipping the waiting part will cost you. If you're impatient don't come here and whine, ok?
And as to your location problems; you have to go to a store to buy SOs so going to a place to buy IOs is logical. There are a couple of places where the Buy > Craft > Sell/Slot chain can be done fast. One is Talos WW > Base Portal and the other is Steel WW > University. In both cases it takes approx 5 seconds to travel from the WW to the crafting place if you have a travel power. You could also get the crafting accolade to get a portable workbench... -
I build my scrapper's to be as survivable as possible. In most cases I don't *need* a team to stay up, but then again, I won't turn down any help I might get. It does annoy me, though, if people try to save me instead of a squishy who's about to faceplant, thinking I can't cope with the spawn alone.
-
I decided the pimp out my FM/SR's build with the upcoming Blaze Mastery to get some more AoE and managed to get a soft capped build together.
It's based on my AV soloer build, but I think that after dropping Aid Self AV soloing will be a bit more risky. I'm planning to run an attack chain of Incinerate > GFS > Cremate > FS which should work fine with the current build. I also picked Melt Armour (yeah, lousy stats, I know, but every little helps against the sturdier targets).
Here's the build, what do you think?

Got a Rad/Fire/Cold coming up when I16 lands.
Damage auras? Check.
AoEs? Check.
Defense? Check (37% S/L Def)
Panic button? Check.
Sounds like a really cool combo to me, and it'll also be fun in a chaotic way. -
I don't really understand you here. What he means is that he used his Dark Miasma/Rad Blast defender's build as a template for your Rad Blast/Dark Miasma corruptor.
-
The main thing is cost and supply. There are barely any Shield Wall IOs available, so it's much more realistic and also cheaper to plan a build using LotG.
-
Might be useful to tell which side and server.
-
Another reason to farm is that certain organizations support agriculture and like to pay farmers some extra for their... Well, farming. And on top of that you can also sell the products your farm produces!
-
It's easy;
1. Click open your Powers tab
2. Click the "Combat Attributes" text at the upper left corner
3. Find the attribute(s) you want to see in the small window
4. Right click the attribute(s) and choose "Monitor [Attribute]"
IIRC the maximum number of attributes you can monitor is 10. -
I would actually say that's overkill. A WP with the Fighting pool and soft capped S/L with F/C/E/N defenses in the 30s is basically invincible. You could sacrifice some of the defense in favour of offense.
-
Ice/Traps, Dark/Traps and Sonic/Traps might be a couple of good combinations to consider.
Ice has good ST damage with control.
Dark has AoE -tohit to stack with your FFG. Also a self heal.
Sonic is all-round good soloing set. An AoE sleep and stun with good ST damage. -
Quote:To be honest, I couldn't even think of playing a Tanker (or a Scrapper either) without Hurdle + CJ for melee maneuvering and Health for more Regen. Even with WP I'd end up picking Hurdle anyway and then it's a question of Health + Stamina or Useless Prerequisite + Physical Perfection. What I wonder is, for builds that don't need the full power of Stamina, would physical perfection make a reasonable alternative? Would the 1/2 strength be worth saving 3 power choices from fitness?
Not a hard choice. -
Kat/Inv is awesome when it's properly built. I should give you a few pointers before you go on. When leveling up I wouldn't pick Weave. Instead you could pick Unstoppable for those moments when things just don't go as planned.
This reminds me I should probably attach a level-up guide in there, too... -
Why not?
What does it matter to you whether they farm or not? I used to farm, but then I discovered a much more time efficient way of getting inf by playing the market so I don't bother anymore. But I don't think farming is bad, it doesn't hurt me if others farm...
