Not many people will care whether you have a rez or not.
Interestingly enough the only character I have with a rez is my Stalker. I had already gotten Aid Other to pick up Aid Self. Then as I was playing I noticed I'd either be the first to die or the last one standing so I figured why not.
it's been useful a couple of times, nothing drastic though.
However it is nice bringing someone back into the fight and becoming hidden for it -
I'd like to see this implemented across all wing types.

Quote:In order to be able to choose to go Rogue or Vigilante a player must purchase the Going Rogue Expansion.I am saying that if what the Developers is said at face value, those who choose to go Rogue should be able to run the Hero TF's for merits, and those who go Vigilante will be able to run the Villain SF's for merits
Currently Heroes can produce more merits than Villains in a similar time frame.
The Posi TF is part of that, having both available will further increase the imbalance, and pointing at Going Rogue and saying that it solves the problem isn't accurate because people will ahve to pay additional money to even have that option.
Honestly I'm not against the idea, but I think the merit imbalance should be addressed before something like this gets implemented. -
I think 20 is too early. 24 Might be a bit better though, since that's when a character can first use respecs(other than freespecs), and we all know how important respeccing is to both EATS.

Missions being marked as being able to cause a change is fine.
Missions flat out saying this will make you a hero/villain seems to go against the shades of gray theme. -
Quote:I said Anarchism90% less than there should be
Not too sure a democratic government counts an anarchy
from Dictionary.com
1. a doctrine urging the abolition of government or governmental restraint as the indispensable condition for full social and political liberty.
2. the methods or practices of anarchists, as the use of violence to undermine government
specifically definition 2 which I bolded.
use of violence to undermine government, whether you like it or not Emperor Cole has established a government for Praetoria. By working with the Resistance you will be attempting to undermine that government. Making you an Anarchist.
I truly hope that the going rogue missions aren't clealry labeled as to which actions will cause shifts in which direction. -
Possibly. How many super powered individuals are in Praetoria?
Also how does it feel to be supporting Anarchism GG? -
What's great is we can all call GG an Anarchist and use this thread as proof.

Quote:Definition of Morality from Dictionary.comIf you're an anarchist, then you can't have any morality - causing chaos that harms other people is immoral.
1. conformity to the rules of right conduct; moral or virtuous conduct.
2. moral quality or character.
3. virtue in sexual matters; chastity.
4. a doctrine or system of morals.
5. moral instruction; a moral lesson, precept, discourse, or utterance.
Anarchist
1. a person who advocates or believes in anarchy or anarchism.
2. a person who seeks to overturn by violence all constituted forms and institutions of society and government, with no purpose of establishing any other system of order in the place of that destroyed.
3. a person who promotes disorder or excites revolt against any established rule, law, or custom.
These aren't mutually exclusive in all cases. -
I don't know, cause if your going to be at damage cap, have the enemies resist in the negatives and lvl 50 vs lvl 1 I think the Double Assassins could probably match that.
Of course the Stalker can't set that up them self, but that's not relevant to the discussion is it? -
If I remember correctly the most damage ever done in 1 shot is when one of the houses in Steel Canyon actually burns down.
Do multiple Trip Mines count?
Cause if they do I was able to take out a Ballista in one shot. -
While I understand the reasoning for this I don't think it's a good idea.
The Devs have said having unlocks at character level 50 was a bad idea, while this was in regards to Epic Archetypes I would think the same should apply to Accolades.Especially since your talking about 14 level 50's(10 if you exclude epics) -
IIRC you get sent to Arbiter Rein at some point after running missions in Grandville.

Quote:Another angle, I haven't seen adressed here, is that Gaussian arc is in coop zone and can be run by heros, villains or mixed teams.
From villain's point of view, there is no contradiction to fighting Lt. Sefu, it is rather natural (just another "stinking" longbow).
Mixed teams... Should hero, who has a star and who don't want to fight Lt. Sefu, kick villain from the team if that villain wants to fight Sefu and visa-versa?
BTW, IIRC, when I've done this arc around i11-i12, it was enough to kill longbows around WMD and not to fight WMD herself to complete mission. Probably it was a bug, because it is no longer option: you have to defeat WMD now to complete mission and arc.
Interestingly enough my main Villain actually liked Sefu. Sefu was willing to look past the differences and ultimately do what's best for everyone. Yes he had his orders but he also found ways to work around them. And when we were forced to fight Sefu questioned it, but couldn't find a way out of the situation.(game mechanics wise this is one of the worst fights ever conceived, but story wise it's one of the most powerful, if not THE most powerful moment in the game)
As for WMD, she has no right to be upset with what happens as she blindly follows her orders and ultimately ended up pushing Sefu into a situation that should have been avoided. My main holds WMD, Longbow and most of all Miss Liberty responsible for what happened and will destroy them all, reduce their bodies to ashes and arrange for the ashes to fall into the sun.
So congratulations to all of you, as your bigotry turned a passive hatred into an outright loathing. -
Actually if you avoid killing ambushes, patrols and the leaders until you grabbed the 4 glowies and get Mission Completed you can kill everything in the map without worrying about a mission failure.
-
Also there is no penalty for being defeated in this game until you are level 10. So doing the 3 Paper/Radio missions for the Atlas Park Safeguard/Mayhem mission is mostly risk free.

Quote:I would laugh maniacally as well should this be done, especially the Kheld Sash one, but about 2/3's of the player base are heroside and that's the kind of thing that could get some of them to quit.Wait, i thought this was the things we DON'T want to hear thread?
i would break out my maniacal laugh and frighten the neighbors (again) just for this if it happened.
Now back to the list.
*Manticore's/Chimera's Teleport Arrow has been renamed to Enema Arrow.Any character defeated from a hit by this attack will be unplayable for 6 weeks.
*Due to an error Vanguard's Curse of Weariness has not been as effective as was intended. It Now reduces the characters endurance to 20% instead of 50%.
*The Curse Breaker Temporary Power obtained with Vanguard Merits has had it's endurance cost increased to 25. -
Quote:Hmm, one thing i forgot about Blueside arcs... friggin' defeat 65* [whatever is hard to find in the zone] missions! >.<
* Ok, actually it scales - the 65 is an example from a lvl 45-50 arc i recently did
While that's true very few arcs have multiple defeat X(group) in them though I'm sure there are some that do. And While heroes are doing that defeat X, villaisn are doing 5x newspaper (mostl ikely defeat boss/grab glowie) and in those 5x newspaper villains are defeating an equal amount of enemies to those hunts, which adds playtime that doesn't count towards merits. -
*Due to a mislabeled flag the Kheldian Sash is available to Heroes. It was intended as a Villain Exclusive Costume piece to balance out the 2 Hero Exclusive Costume pieces. Additionally defeating Romulus the Warshade will unlock the Sash as well.
*New Villain Exclusive Costume piece Animated Hair is unlocked after Completing Seer Marino's Arc "O Wretched Man" -
I'm curious as to which forums because the main one Shoryuken.com has always been helpful, most of the posters aren't exactly friendly to anyone with an 09 registration date for some reason, but generally the place is helpful.
Although I was talking more about the actual tournament competitors in NY. They've always been helpful when I've asked questions at the tournaments. -
Generally I help people out when I can, offering advice and some helpful tips and tricks.
As for SF4 there's a big difference between Coh and SF.
CoH is largely a cooperative experience whereas SF is entirely a competitive experience.
I don't know who you mean by the guys in SF, but the guys I know from SF while playing to win have also been helpful when asked for advice. -
If your patient /Traps is pretty good solo. Yes it takes time and a confuse can ruin your day but the joy of luring EB's into a mine field and watching them asplode is awesome.

When I said zones, I was thinking along the lines of Faultline and RWZ not Perez and Boomtown.
