Now Puppeh, you ready for your b-day spankings?????

Quote:Now let's add in the Cape .. mainly because the last thing anyone needs is DJ Shecky getting out of his straight jacket and coming after you because you didn't mention it.
Cape radio hosts parties constantly and while many originate in Pocket D they have no problem taking the show on the road to the Arena (to host a Golden Era costume contest) or Port Oakes ( for a Fashion show and costume contest put on by Rogue magazine). They even sponsor events.. DJ Postehaste has done a show while running a series of Rikti Mothership raids! The music varies from DJ to DJ but its always a lot of fun and the commercials (fake) between sets are very funny.
Oh, I got out of my straight Jacket a while ago. And Yes Posty does a monthly Mothership Raid on the first Sunday of the month (usually). www.thecaperadio.com for more info on The Cape.
Now then... *Chases Wendy* -
well, We can provide everything EXCEPT the PVP. Most of the PVP zones here are pretty dead.

Since the e-mail system started allowing attachments:
No scrolling in e-mail. Long e-mails become unreadable. -
HAve fun. Maybe you guys can come to the Midwest at some point.

Fights in the D. Only of they are not using Powers. Of Course the fact that people use their powers and spam their powers in the D sort of make this rule a bit hard to swallow.
Level Differences All depends on my trust level of the other RPer. I have seen some really cool 50's who basically played it as if their characters were idiots, and the only way they would not be beat by a smarter opponent would be to get lucky.
Non-Existant Powers Well, this is one that if the powers are well thought, and not god-modding situations, I have no problem with. Heck look at how many Khelds are played as other types of aliens.
Psi and Steal While I can understand people using this sort of god-mod on Psi, I don't like it, cause you can always just ignore the person trying to use Psi to god-mod. Stealth on the other hand, should not be ignored. Not without consent of the stealthed player. -

I'm going to toss one out there:
In Game E-Mail!
I know a lot of people don't use it, but a lot of DJs do. There is no scroll and you have to reply to see longer messages, you have to cancel to close those that you opened with reply, it makes things a bit more difficult. -
*saunters in*
Well, well well. Here we go.
*Grabs some coffee*
Now then... ENTERTAIN ME!!!! -
*Sneaks in and tackleglomps Becky*
MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
*Grabs his coffee and sees Tram*
Puppeh, what did you do?
*Grabs the rolled up newspaper*
PUPPEH!!!! -
Quote:This was the message I got. Not from a Mod but one of the rednames:Are they asking or telling? And why the change? I don't see how a couple of minor mistakes is a big deal.
Hallo SheckyDJNekoDaKitteh
Quote:We are trying to get the Rookery discussions to happen in one thread instead of one a day but it would definitely be a nice thing to let one of the main Rookery-ers create that thread. -
Howdy all.
I got a PM asking for us to switch to one stickied thread. Since the Customer Relation person knows me, they had asked if I would be willing to start it so that we don't get any more double posts, and they want a regular of the Rookery to start it.
Personally, I think that Fedor or Cein should start that up Especially Cien since they start the majority of the threads anyway.
Let me know. -
*walks in and looks at the Iron Rook*
No way am I getting in that thing.
*Looks at Pogo*
I hope you know what you are doing. Don't want you or your co-pilot hurt.
*grabs some coffee*
Also Happy Sysadmin Day -

*Strolls in, flips on the lights and starts up the chefbots*
Why did it have to be Thursday?
*Grabs his coffee and feels it dribble onto his shirt has he takes a drink*
I never could get the hang of Thursdays.
*Notices the Chefbots making the wrong items*

[*]Characters that think they're part of the lore (Lord Recluse's son, the love child of Statesman and Ms. Liberty (ew), The Crey Doctor who worked on Synapse, etc.)
Well, I guess that leaves Ascendant out, as he is mentioned in game by NPCs. I know what you mean by this just eh way it is worded, anyone who wants their character to be in game continuity, need not apply. -
I have the same issue about jumping in on other's RP. What I recommend is finding some sort of angel. Maybe palying it as overhearing something, and say, "Hey, maybe I can help." Or else hitting people with an OOC tell asking them if it is ok to join in or that you want to.
I know Around the Cape DJ's when RP goes on, sometimes it can be easy to insert yourself into the RP sometimes, people just wind up off in their own little owrld, but usually the DJs are pretty good about chatting with anyone around them. Getting to know the DJ can be a good ice breaker as they can get you in and introduced to others.
*makes notes of his own advice which he never listens to anyway* -
Quote:I never said get a better job. I said I understand that non-normal hours are normal now.Wow, having read all the replies to this thread, I have a few things to say:
Many of us work 40 hours a week at not-crappy jobs that pay just fine. We just happen to work non-traditional hours - where I work is open 24/7/365. *NOBODY* works a 9-5 Mon-Fri schedule. So don't tell us to 'get a better job'. Sorry that my working a job for the past 4 1/2 years where my normal hours encompass almost ALL of 2XP weekend - thus meaning I miss *all* of it unless I take time off of work makes you think I'm some kind of loser because, hey, I'd like to get in on all the fun that I usually miss. Because maybe I'm not the sort who likes to fake sick and call in work when I know that I'll be putting stress on my coworkers. And some of those jobs? They require more time in advance if you want to request leave time.
Quote:And for those people going 'durr, well, just play after work' - I work 10 hour days and when I get home at 3AM, not only do I have much less time to play than people who work shorter days, it's kind of hard to find many people on at that hour of the day. Not to mention, someone has to cook dinner, feed the pets, and tend to the other various around-the-house chores that crop up daily. Which'd leave me all of 1/2 hour to play, which is probably just about as long as it takes to get logged in and find a team running a TF, let alone play with them.

And to anyone saying 'well you can just get xp faster in AE' - maybe some of us would rather enjoy the game content instead of just farming our way to 50.
Quote:Devs, a lot of this would be avoided if you gave us, say, maybe a month's notice that 2XP is coming instead of 2 weeks.
Quote:And for those of you who think you're being clever by saying 'oh yeah, I'm SO SURE they moved it just to ruin your weekend!' - we KNOW that isn't the case. But thanks for the smarm. We're upset that some poor planning went into scheduling the event. Or, sorry, did I miss the notice that no negative feedback is allowed?
Now I am going to bring up another thought. Think of the CSR, OCR and Dev's who are all going to be working the Double XP weekend. Do you all not think that having to change it last minute affects them also?
