Now I don't remember the particulars of why this can't be done, I think it's because of a lack of anchor points on the characters themselves but I'm not sure.
[/ QUOTE ]
That would mean we wouldn't have auras in the first place. I think it has to do with the character rendering cost. -

It seem to me that talk of adjusting the rewards is beside the point. What MA has really done is shown that a lot of the game content isn't actually fun for the players, at least not after the first couple of times.
[/ QUOTE ]
... but killing hamidon mitochondria that can't fight back is fun again and again and again?
[/ QUOTE ]
It is if you're just playing for levels/tickets. Which, apparently, is a decent sized chunk of the player base. -
The huge swathes of recipes that aren't available on the market (especially Redside) concerns me more than the prices.
-
I like the AE for my low level guys because it allows me to trade all those worthless TOs for recipes that might actually be worth something. As well as playing missions that don't take themselves too seriously and don't send me across multiple zones. Playing from 1-10 actually feels fulfilling now.
Now if only we could get some Dev Choice missions filled with enemies that are required for unlockable weapons. -

Given that [super reflexes] had a good reputation long before IOs, I really doubt they're 'necessary'.
[/ QUOTE ]
Very long ago. Perma-eldue-long-ago.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, between the end of the Perma-Elude and the introduction of IOs, SR was generally considered a rather poor set. -
I think most people rail on Devices because it's the only gadget themed set available blueside and it has a playstyle that doesn't appeal to everyone interested in having a gadget-based character. I know I'd love a gadget themed set that was more active and not based on setting up the battlefield. Same goes for redside and Traps.

I need Necro/Sonic and Bots/Rad!

I'd design it to not look like a bad 80's American ninja movie.

The mission types/format never got properly expanded and costume pieces and options became too much of the focus of development.
[/ QUOTE ]
That emphasis is what has kept me here so long. Expanding the mission types/format would be nice, but it's not as important as more costume pieces/options and powersets are to me. It would take a major overhaul of the combat system and mission system for me to get truly excited. -
For me, not getting arc merits (unless I've got the same arc) while on a team is a pretty big turn off to teaming regular content. Why bother with that when I can earn mounds of tickets while teaming in the AE? Sure I do solo the regular content, but that doesn't help the teaming issue.
-
The devs have placed a rendering limit (the amount of computation needed to display something) on characters. Having both wings and a cape or cape-like piece exceeds this limit.
-
I could see it as Gravity Armor. It would represent your control over the speed of the various types of objects coming towards you. Like knives/fists (melee), bullets/blasts (ranged), and explosions (AoE).
-
Frankly, I think there needs to be a change to the way draining affects enemy NPCs so it's less binary. One thought I had was that enemy attacks should have a required level of end.
To clarify, say an enemy has Knockout Blow. Let's add a requirement to it that says the enemy needs to have 75% of its end available to use KO Blow. So if you drain its end down below 75% it can't use KO Blow. -
Damn, I was hoping this would be thread complaining about how all the costume pieces are for scientists and none are for the scientists' experiments.
-
Only /signed if this doesn't preclude an explosion blast set where the character causes explosions by pointing at things.

666beholdsataninallhisglory666Mine's not working right.

"Finishes" on costume pieces has never been logical and complete. That is the problem of the OP, and my constant gripe about costume pieces.
It would be nice if every costume piece had a shiny, matte, and rough finish. This would allow optimal mix-and-matching.
The low-res Gladiator shoulder has been around for ever (thus, the low resiness); way before the Imperious TF pieces were introduced. But, the ITF pieces were high-res and the old Gladiator shoulder didn't fit with the rest of the gladiator set. So, it was made high-res and given a rough finish, thus, making it no longer match with all the old legacy options which people have been using for the past five years.
The answer isn't to give us back a low-res gladiator shoulder. The answer is to update all pieces to hi-res and give all pieces the same set of finishes.
[/ QUOTE ]
That would solve a metric crap ton of non-cohesive costume problems. -
Considering that merits = time, I say the devs should just award a merit every x minutes you're logged on.

Okay, now I'm getting an idea for a new supergroup that I will probably never get around to doing. All nuns who would be AR/Devices/Munitions Blasters...
An Army of Nuns.

Might I suggest a name: Brides of CRIPES! -

You don't have to have been conducting any scientific inquiry or involved with any experiments for it to be Science origin. Walking down the street and getting splashed with toxic waste from a passing truck would be Science origin.
[/ QUOTE ]
That would be a scientific accident, sitting in the sun and yelling at kids would not
[/ QUOTE ]
It would if he sat in the sun and absorbed enough UV radiation to mutate him.
[/ QUOTE ]
in this case Superman is Science origin.
[/ QUOTE ]
Except Superman didn't mutate. He always had the ability to convert yellow sunlight into power. -
[ QUOTE ]
I want an Explosives primary.
[/ QUOTE ]
That better come with power customization so I can make a character who points at stuff to make it explode. Like a certain Marvel mutant. -
Hey I know what would be the perfect Human Natural Controller, a grappler.

What about people with swords, axes, or maces?
[/ QUOTE ]
Those generally require the user to have trained his/her/its body to make effective use of those weapons. The user's skill and training directly determines how effective said weapon is.
A grenade generally just needs accuracy and even that's not required if you use it as a timed bomb rather than throwing it. The user merely directs the power rather than being the direct force behind it. -
Can't remember the specifics, but Siphon Life is damn good as an attack and Midnight Grasp is better somehow damage-wise (I want to say more upfront damage). The PBAoEs got changed too, I think.

A question off the top of my head too, was Electrical Armor ever changed at all? (Like numbers tweaked?)
[/ QUOTE ]
Nope.
The Dark Melee changes?
