See yers soon, I hope they make I14 worth coming back for
-
I guess a tray of blues and tough becomes no issue, so yeah that works. I think a tray of blues may be my main amunition infact
-
Ahah, just noticed that you actually run tough, so maybe that explains my HP problem with Chimera. I dont think I actually have slots in mine other than the +def though.
Nice work though, show that to teams that say you need to fight him in the water next time it comes up -
Hmmmm, then I might have a look at doing that on the FM/FA, never really tried slotting for resistance bonus' before so could be fun (my Spine/Inv is slotted for regen and procs and stuff)
Siphon Life is actually quite a bit of the damage (which is why its been a while since I tried soloing AVs on him, was a walk in the park pre the regen change of AVs)
Mind you it might be the AVs, cause BM was harsh on the damage but Tyrant wasn't hurting me. That damaned ninja did me more damage than BM did, but it was the caltrops that actually killed me cause it meant he could onehit me.
So the build might be fine for the lower spike damage ones already just need to decide what to invest in long term I guess. Saving for the FM/FA or changing the DM/SR. I kinda like the DM/SR build cause its fairly good all round rather than being too specific like my other scrappers have turned out -
My BS/SR was a concept character, oh how I wish that that concept had been something to do with claws instead
My claws/WP has the damage to put one down (without procs except the chance for BU one) but I wouldn't want to stand infront of an AV with her build for long. Or be able to even. I find both Katana and Dual Blades ugly. Am leveling a FM/FA scrapper at the moment but once again............
Thing is I just dont want to level another SR really. The DM works alright, and if I did a new build with Aid Self in it too dropping my epic for it, then it would probably be much better at it. But its a lot of inf for a second build rather than the main one.
Also found out long term end management and BS/Sr dont go together at all, but unlike the DM/SR it could have stood there all day thanks to Aid Self and luck on surviving wasn't an issue. So 4 claws attacks + FU where the 5 BS powers are or 4 FM attacks + BU and I could see it happening.
Its hard to get too worked up over changing them around when the other side of me just says "play your Ill/rad fool" but I might make me a claws/SR some day and give it a good go
Edit: I do like fire melee but am used to it on my brute, which makes me disappointed when it doesn't crit on a scrapper. Also have a tank with FM at 50 too and I try to avoid too many of the same if I can -
Ah, had a level 51 Tyrant for some reason. Found out my BS/SR cant scratch them. Guess BS isn't what it was in the olden days
-
Got battlemaiden but she got me on last hit too, forgot to turn UI on so have a lovely picture of PI hospital now
Edit: should add this is because I forgot to take picture before clicking "go to hospital" and then took screeny figuring logs would show at least, changed to BS scrapper, logged back in moving acounts from PC to laptop to get the same mission on everyone. When looking for the screenie afterwards is when I found out. -
Level 50 AVs........ now that might be an idea, and I can bump it up with other accounts so I dont have to be on invince. Doh!
-
Ah, wasn't sure cause your build above showed 241 additional Health so that would have been around the same level. Am guessing its not showing accolades or something
I cant injure BM at all with my Spine/Inv, but its fairly fair on that account cause she cant hurt me either. Must try someone that does actual damage against her -
Was trying that on DM/SR. 1517 is my base HP and he hit for over that. My BS/SR is slightly better defensively but is all S&L damage and more spike than sustained.
Tyrant couldn't actually get enough damage on me at any point to bother me, I was using Siphon Life fully slotted for damage to keep my HP bar full (unfortunately I didn't have any insps left at all cause I used them all trying to rez and get back into the fight with Chimora)
Tyrant had a constant 9.75% chance to hit me no matter how much I debuffed him, which seemed higher than Chimora, but its only fair cause his damage was fairly poor. I should have thought about the lava pool, with the amount of teams I've been on that will only fight him when he's in it. I had him perma imob'd too.
You've made me want to try this some more now, if there hadn't been buffs to DM in I13 I don't think it would have been possible for me but it feels almost as nice as claws over time now. -
Got Tyrant to half health before I ran out of end, but that took from my last post till now, so I'm not in the mood to try again straight away. But I have noted I need a decent supply of blues. My build wasn't really designed to fight for that long without a rest I guess
-
Chimora cheats with Caltrops btw, means his Head Splitter can one shot you
-
Well SR used to be weak in pre I13 PvP but is probably pretty damned good now
-
There's an option in keymapping or you can find the command yourself.

Changing the 1 to a 0 to turn it on and off -
Oh and in general tuesday night is the night I play the longest
-
I've done very few SFs on villain side and I wouldn't mind jumping in from time to time. I kinda got burned out on running TF's/SF's cause of arranging a weekly STF for a long time and it put me off the game for a while so I don't think I'd like to be an organiser or tied to being a regular attendant (I've also got bummed out on Superteams in the past, maybe its the whole always being structured thing that gets to me)

If the spec op got double damage from their stealth rather than absolutely nothing at all then they might actually be useful
[/ QUOTE ]
It would be a proc then
[/ QUOTE ]
They could at least go and fetch me insps from the store while I'm doing the mission -
The player version has a really high tohit as well, I only really use mine on my blaster when I cant hit something

The build wasn't awfully expensive though. Only about 400mil influence.
[/ QUOTE ]
If 400mil isn't awfully expensive, then I'd like to see what is...
[/ QUOTE ]
The reason I've not made my Claw/WP is that my projected cost for it is about 2 billion. My DM/SR cost around 400 mil and I was pleased with it for economy, my BS/SR was the same. I think SR is actually fairly cheap to IO up, my Spine/Inv was 800 mil and isn't as perfect a build cause I ended up economising -

I'm home early and sober enough to type, but happy new year anyway y'all

PvP fails in MMO's because Tank classes have no true role and become ignored players.
Fix the Tank and PvP can grow from there imho.
[/ QUOTE ]
In MMOs? Including War? Seriously?
[/ QUOTE ]
In War its all about getting the healer, running past the Tank players who's CC got nerfed with everyone elses, they can't even use Taunt for a meagre help the squishy since its a damage boost power rather than CoX's targeting blocker. So what do people do? They ignore/neglect their defences in an attempt to improve their DPS but they at least get more to work with fairly early on (shared dmg on one teammate or the 'hold the line' deflect ranged for a very limited time for anyone behind them).
Might as well run a Scrapper at least they get critical damage compared to a Tanks average damage. Thats my point, the Tankers Gauntlet is nearly worthless and once again they become low damage Scrappers with higher defences/HP's with an occasional targetting stopper.
And listing any particular set for any AT in PvP as somehow making it seem 'good' does not imply that the class itself has a 'role' befefit of its name. PvP should always be about the players, not the perceived or actual imbalances in power combinations making the difference.
[/ QUOTE ]
So in your experience the tanks never shared damage with the healer, or used hold the line then? Interesting, hope one day you see some average tanks in War then (doesn't even have to be a good one) -

It seems to me that the casual players, those that *might* pvp occasionally for fun are put off by
1: Those with certain pvp powersets
2: Those with uber builds
3: Those with lots of practice
Dominating the zones.
I13 was trying to level out the playing field, which imho went horribly wrong.
[/ QUOTE ]
To be precise, the goal of the changes in I13 was to de-emphasise the first two of those items listed.
The third, assuming that practise brings skill, isn't as huge an issue. Anyone with a genuine interest in PvP (that includes 'casual' PvPers) should not be scared off by being beaten by player skill. Being beaten by a specialised niche build that saps fun (eg getting perma-dommed and being unable to do much of anything until you die) is far more likely to cause a prospective PvP player to not play.
[/ QUOTE ]
Perma anything is a design problem - if any power was meant to be perma, it'd be an autopower or toggle.
[/ QUOTE ]
As SR scrappers have a click mez protection that only takes 2 recharge to make perma I'd think your statement is incorrect.
[/ QUOTE ]
There's an exception to most rules
And as it only needs 2 recharges, then the devs would have been aware of it being easy to make into a perma power, and as they didn't change it, they must have been ok with it.
[/ QUOTE ]
So perma anything isn't a design problem, just certain things? -
Aye I like the fact that my support on Necro is my T3 really, with its control. I'd lose a T2 for a decent medic instead of a half [censored] T1. Did a mission yesterday and found out afterwards I'd forgot to summon my T2s.......... not saying they're poor, but it seems Mercs have nicer T1s than they do T2s which is duplicated by............ no other set that I know of
