Well I've found I dont like regen, or invul. I guess thats SR and Dark as my secondries (though SR is very frustrating its a lovely concept)

DM & MA are the nice primaries in my opinion, I know spines is awesome, but I'd rather look good and have the singe target kills thanks.

Ice gets its AoE hold at level 26. It has very long recharge and very short base duration (80% of the controller version, which is already very short). When I first got it I didn't know whether to laugh or cry as the base duration at lvl26 was really laughably short, basically so short that there was no point of ever using the power as it's PBAoE and does nothing except get you killed. Accuracy totally sucks as well.

However, add some slots and it's a lot better, add Domination and it's better than the controller version, add Power Boost and it can really turn the tide of a battle you're losing. The recharge is still so long that it's mostly situational and I tend to only use it as a panic button.

The single target hold is pretty good and I never thought it lacks duration-wise, although it too is at 80% of the controller version. That's all the holds Ice gets. Instead it has great soft control in Ice Slick, Arctic Air and Shiver.

Edit: Oh, Jack Frost has a hold too, and often helps stack holds on bosses.

Not taken Shiver, though is my plan at 49, if there's nothing else. AA and Chilling Embrace from my secondry seem fairly effective.

And yeah to clarrify the single target hold doesn't suffer its just the recharge and duration of Glacier that is shocking. I often use it with Power Boost if a group looks tough and then use my single target to lock down the bosses, but it is situational. Ice Slick is the key to make life easy for ice.

Yeah, no need to rush my stalker to 14, can try and get into those arcs I want instead. Cause she has Jet Pack, and SJ will still seem awaesome at 14 anyway

Tomorrow evening could you help me do some missions with my level 9 stalker, so I can open up the arcs for two tempory powers.

Reason I need a high level? If I ding 10 by doing the 5 missions and the hiest I cant get the contact I need for the arc as I will have out leveled it.

I know its an odd request, but please help me do some missions so I dont get XP for them

I'd post mine but its a bit strange, realising I'd never match the damage on my DM/SR (quickness gives me a nicer attack chain) I created a fear based scrapper, have a fair amount from power pools, mostly presence obviously.

I have restarted two, and fire seems very friendly for damage for a Dominator, while Mind will surely have the best control. Plant/Psy also appealed to me, but that would be 4 slots taken up with dominators out of 12, a bit much maybe.

Power Boost is lovely, and does help my primary a lot, ice slick is the main controling power I have from that one, I guess you're not really looking at the group holds, cause if you blink they wear off.

they seem to have a 30 day duration from when they were collected, so when ever you signed in with that alt you get the jetpack 30 days from then

You're going to hate me, but some toons still have thier jetpacks, so they'd had a distinct advantage

I wish rather than just the higher numbers it showed "Domination" above my targets heads when I hit them with attacks, then I'd have a lovely ripple effect with Frost breath, and a big orrange blur with Ice Sword Circle.

Though if it showed it for all powers Artic Air and Chilling Embrace would get anoying very quickly.

As my stalker is above the level limit I agree fully with that suggestion

Not leveling that fast, want to finish an arc before I outlevel the temp power at the end of it. Focus Chi + AS is awesome though. I think I'm going to like it

Also been back on hero's for a bit, playing my SR makes me apreciate Ninjitsu all the more *L*

Grats on your second mate. Well done, and its a damn fine toon to team with too.

Once you get those SO's it all falls into place for a dominator, IMO anyway.

May not be doing the damage the rest of the team is doing, but you can lock down, hurt a bit, and build up that domination bar to hold the boss at the end

I have a ranged single target fear so dont find them a problem for my regen (gotta love the power pools eh?)

My SR has yet to meet them, I just hope they miss me often
