  1. Nice work Gill. The pose really feels natural -- like she's moving which isn't easy to do!

Also your color is really friggin' good, especially your special effects! The lightning you did on Thor's Assassin's piece was great.

    Outstanding stuff!
  2. Very nice work Roxstar! Static's son has to be... well, ecstatic!

And I agree with the thinking that comic books and cartoons should INSPIRE you to draw but copying or tracing them as your ONLY means of learning isn't the best way to go. You need to learn the rules before you can bend or break them.

Drawing figures from a "how-to" book may not be as exciting because there are no flashy costumes, exagerrated proportions or cool gadgets and guns and stuff on them. But underneath them all should be a solidly drawn figure with proper anatomy and proportions. Also, you need to be able to draw regular things and people so that your superheroes look SUPER when they're in the same scene together.

  3. OK, maybe not a day or two!

Anyway, here are my renditions of Fangs & Spark
  4. Gill - Brilliant work! Those are great cartoons and a sign of a true artist -- one who can draw in many different styles and you do them all well.

StaticThunder - I'm also crunched for time but I want to do a couple. I call "Fang" and "Spark". look for something in a day or two.
