I like the new PvP, it lets me farm PBs in RV without interference. ;p
But in all Seriousness, I don't mind the new PvP. It's different, more brawly. I don't drop my toggles when held (always annoying for SR), but I getting held for brief bits of time can be annoying for someone that used to have Mez Protection (now Resistances).
Elf, even if the Devs were to change things back, I don't think many of the old PvPrs who left would come back. Kind of a Fool Me Once, shame on me thing...
Then again, I'm waiting with baited breath for Star Trek Online, and that's being produced by Statesman... 0_o -
Maybe a Claws/SR brute to make a mirror of Cutlass. WP is also nice too... Gotta finish off lvling the Widow first.

My friend was running into the same problem with atioglxx.dll crashing his Loading screen. Doing a google search for the .dll turned up some forum postings that you could revert back to Catalyst 8.7 (Catalyst and actual video driver versions seem to be 2 separate things).
Somehow my friend's video driver update crashed and then caused the problem. Removing just the driver didn't seem to work, and any attempt to even install a new driver from the default VGA drivers failed. I found out that you have to go into Add/Remove programs and remove Catalyst, and the ATI Driver Uninstall Utility.
From there, I was able to install the 8.7 Catalyst driver from the card manufaturer's site (ATI didn't have a AGP driver for it, but Sapphire had their own driver/hotfix).
Some initial loading of CoH and running around ingame seems to be okay now. -

Ran in the new TF 3 times.
1st Time 1:30 Tough last room but completed
2nd Time 2:30 No debuffer on the team, mindnumbingly grindy on Reichsman. Pulled Amys, LB and Vanguard Mechs, and Nukes to complete.
3rd Time 0:54 2 Rads (1 me) Healer Tank and Damage. Cake.
Noticed the WW bug where Info popups don't pop up in the Market window or your Recipe window. I have to close and reopen to fix. :/
I'll have to get to work on those arena badges. :3 -
Last week the LC problem was hitting many hard on Champion. Many peeps on the server channel would chime in the same thing happened to them, at the same time, even though all over the country.
I heard that there was some emergency maintenance late in the week and since then on it's been pretty much back to normal, at least for me so far.
We'll see how long that lasts. :3 -
Yes, Extremely Annoying intermittent rubberbanding issues, and LC's. Used to be smooth as mowed lawn in the Netgraph, but now it's got ketchup and mustard block every now and then. :/
At least in my first MMORPG I played, lag was consistent in some zones so you'd know to expect it. -

As stated earlier, great guide, with a caveat. My badger is a scrapper, and i found the lvl 39 PP arc to be much easier and faster than the Nem arc even with no travel powers.
I'm not done with the current Nem arc, but so far i've had 2 defeat all missions out of 8, and in every single one of them lots of snipers, making it hard to just pull aggro on one mob. Compare that to the PP arc, though lots of running around, and one hunt (50 crey in brix, gray/green stuff) it is way shorter taking only 90 minutes to run through doors and get clickies. -

Alrighty, tried out some of the Magic Desk Stuff. But how do you stack the high bookshelves like Baisleac did for the Entrance way in his/her base? The stacked desks aren't the same height as the bookshelves.

Um, if you're a scrapper by lvl 27 you should have some sort of KD/KB/Stun Protection (SR's Practiced Brawler for my Scrapper) that you don't have to seriously worry about AoEs. Aside from taking the damage more often, you can keep chugging along.
One time I did come across another SR Scrapper at lvl 40+, he didn't have PB and didn't seem to listen to me about how fantastic the power is. He died alot needless to say. -

Batman doesn't need to use drugs, he just calls upon the image of his Mom and Dad's death and that string of pearls breaking and he's back in the game!
Of course if he was heavily using stimulants and pain relievers, that could be a whole new storyline!! Quick! someone call the Batman editor!!!

Same thing happened to me. In my base I wanted to remove the Faultline beacon with Boomtown. Faultline deleted just fine, but when I went to put in Boom, I get red all over, couldn't even put it on a wall facing the TP.
Also, it wouldn't allow me to put anything in the corner of my TP room. I have 2 Arcane TP's kiddycorner with a corner space between them (2x2 room). I'd like to put something there instead of having a dead space. :P
They should have done more tests on Test before implementing this patch. -

Oog, that is one of the worst ideas Ive heard. Say the opposing side takes over your base, which is also the entry point to the sector. There would be no safe entry point for your side. They could camp it for hours and hours then.
Sounds like what they do in Battlefield 1942 with control/spawn points, if the enemy controls them all, there's nowhere to spawn and your side loses. The difference is that the match will end in BF1942 whereas CoH/CoV is a persistent world, it goes on and on.
It would be really annoying to try to enter SC to get your pvp on, only to have it say, "Base Occupied, no entry point available" Arrgh!
