Quote:This particular event he is referring to was a CC.... but frankly why does it matter.... we get the complaints on ANY event that does not include vils. SO its like we are damned if we do and damned if we dont. I do understand that there is a lvl of practice an all that went into prepping for this event and now its being changed but i mean in general beggars cant be choosers and its EXTREMELY frustrating to try to make things work for vils to show up to only to be slapped in the face. Whether the event is popular or not it shouldn't matter....that doesn't merit people not showing and then ******** at the next event that excludes vils. Its an unfair situation to be in PERIOD!!! Sorry for the rant but seemed the appropriate time to comment about this issue!
Totally understand the Rant. I get it probably better than anyone else does. This particular situation and this particular thread does not apply to what you are talking about though. This isnt people ******** that villains were never included in an event. This is a thread where the event was changed after months of people preparing for it. I personally know of several people that have been practicing for this on villains that just got ditched, and quite rudely actually. Had she politely posted " sorry guys but due to blah blah blah we have had to sadly change the event to not include villains" it probably would have been a bit easier to swallow. Instead it was more like " you guys suck and don't count anyways so go jump off a cliff and take your sucky pvp friends with you". Surely people complaining about that is understandable and not in the same boat as just complaining about villain events in general? -

Switching this to saturday nights. Obviously I have another villain event that first Saturday so we will do it Friday night instead for that one night. -
Ok let me change the days. In trying to work around my SG's static team nights, hami raids and my own RL schedule I totally forgot about the rikti raids. Gonna switch and create a new post.

Quote:I want the event to run fast and with as few problems as possible.
Villians add a lot of questions to the event. One was about payout and if the villz would accept infamy i agree with all of you it would not be a problem, but there would be complications such as what if you bring your vill friends or someone brings a vill team and does not have a hero alt at the last minute?
Will you have your villz and heroes already in RWZ so we don't have to wait for the alts to be logged in and arrive for payment, because then we will run into the time scheduled for the next event!
It just makes sense to exclude the villians at this point. I have run many successful events and that is because i try to make it simple.
If i had seen or run a hero/vill event before i would not be concerned, but i see the possiblity of lots of things going wronge and i am trying to make sure everything runs smoothly so you all can enjoy yourselves.
We will run another 800 Million AE Challenge early in the new year and invite villians since we will have more time to allow for any problems but with a full day of events i feel this is not the time to experiment.
Move on to your next event and if they come back for their loot take 2 seconds to trade with them, if not...ohh well? Why in the world would it hold up your event? Only an idiot would just stand there and wait. You are teh uber event hoster person though, so I am sure you already knew that?
Excluding villains from a hero event is cool, there are lots of events that don't include both sides for obvious reasons. Hosting the event in RWZ where they can attend, telling them they can attend, having many preparing for your event to then exclude them, and quite rudely doing so...not cool. -
Quote:Villain can't be involved wtf you smoking now... you promoted event for champion but exclude Villains... I mean I know probably can't pay out to a villains but surely the villains who joining the event would keep that in mind and take the money on hero side. felecia stop being a retard... and change crap up.
Gotta say I agree with Elkie. I know in several of my pvp events I have ran it as influence only prizes eventhough villains were welcome to attend. -

I haven't done a raid in a couple months but I will be here for this one. I would start advertising it in game though, lots of people who frequent the boards, don't on the weekends. They are too busy playing. :-)
-
Let me see if I can help out a bit. I used to run old hami raids every single day of the week at various times and have tested out every time from before dawn to lolomgweR2drunk late Friday nights. Here are the best days and times from best to least for ya. Hami is Hami and Champion is still Champion and now you have to get less people together but more specific people needed. So it still should be accurate.
On a side note, and PAC people will hate me for this ....but they are the minority here. Trying to plan events late enough for them generally means EST people can't make it. Unfortunately it seems this server has WAY more EST people participating in events. I will occassionally schedule something late specifically for PAC people, but trying to do it on something like current hami where how many people you have is imperative...not so much.
Saturday night 9pm EST
Sunday night 7pm EST
Tuesday night & Thursday nights -- 9pm EST
Saturday Afternoon -- 4pm EST
Friday night -- midnight EST (just make sure you have your leads right, people will give up being its so late with delays or wipes)
Saturday morning around 10am EST (with advertising only)
BTW, believe it or not...if you happen to see a few good team leads on and ask them to do an impromptu hami raid at the right time, the zone will still fill up just as quickly as it would when planned. Just do a search to see how many people are on the server atm. Also realize BMT only has half the people on the server in it, running zone to zone and using other channels is pretty important IMHO. Some of the best raids ever came about from one of us leaders being bored and deciding we wanted Jello for dinner. -
Quote:Not at all. I think 99% of SF'rs are and were good people. I actually think Skippy is too. Towards the very end I actually started understanding somewhat where he was coming from. (Not aggreeing with, just understanding). In fact me and Skippy just had a charming conversation last night, he has nothing but love for us over here on champion. :-)Not everyone in SF was an ***. In fact, very few were. Just LS and a few officers. And to be honest, I think Stryker has a worse reputation than he really deserves. He seems to want to help people.. just in his own way... Perhaps I was just never on the receiving end of his negative behavior. Now feel free to fire forum cannons at me for this post.
What her being an ex-SF'r making things crystal clear means that it seems to me like she liked his style and learned it on a personal level. Now that I know she was an ex-SF'r it makes it understandable where she is attempting to possibly head with her seemingly psychotic ways. In the past we saw several SF leaders follow his footsteps in attituded and habit for a short time and then they snapped out of it and realized those choices were not the best to make. Kiana comes to mind. I remember at one point in time I thought she had fell off a moving train and bumped her head on asphalt. Then she kind of smartened up and turned out to be a very cool person. She is just one example of many.
Now looking back at the months of reading Felicia's posts in awe and amazement knowing who her mentor was possibly and seeing her impersonation of the one and only Skippy...it is making sense now. Just the way that she talks about AOW as if it was the next best thing to sliced bread and a huge contributing SG on this server, when it really is not, speaks volumes.
In fact now that my head is spinning I remember originally SF hami raids were supposed to be this great thing for the Community but when the community did not support the tactics being used to run them, suddenly no one was welcome and banned from participating and they became SF only events. Ok I could babble on about this forever, going back under my shade tree now. -
Quote:Lol. So if human nature makes any sense, basically it seems Felecia found Skippys techniques on the boards and in the community to be quite successful and thinks by somehow following his footsteps her empire can be as great as he thought his was? I am sure while he is lurking on the boards he has a smile beaming down on her like a proud papa. You are welcome. You may now wire your payment of $59.99 (+S/H) to my account in the Caymans.
I wonder if she is using his tactic of "they are all against us" to get her group to support her tyrades and not kick her? Food for thought. -
Quote:She had to think up another scam, since the old "prestige bondage" scam she was a contributor to left for Virtue.
*light flash*
Woah hold up, are you saying Felicia is an Ex-Sf'r? If so its like someone just plugged in a HD cable in to my brain, the picture is suddenly crisp and very clear.
