This most certainly is happening and I most certainly will be happy to take your donation to double the prizes. :-)

Quote:This is probably the most polite post I have seen from you and I personally appreciate that immensely.I see a lot of honest posts full of wisdom, especially coming from CriticalCat.
I just read the last 3 pages, so my comments are from that point on.
AOW is mentioned many times simply because we needed a title for the event and since AOW is the group that puts the funds together and hosts it, thats the name that goes with it.
AOW and myself had no intentions of replacing events or putting them down, and if you read past posts we never did say you guys did not contribute greatly. What we did say was - there should be lots of MORE fun events on the server and we are here to help make that happen!
You can argue i did speak against PvPEC, but what i was saying is - there should be 2 seperate events, one for vets and one for noobs. That's just my personal opinion.
If you think my name conjures up visions of Dramafire, then simply ignore me and talk about the events. I am not looking for your approval, i am looking to have more fun events for people.
I made offers to PERC and PvPEC to fund events and leave the AOW name out of it but i was turned down, so.................only one thing left to do..............continue running AOW Events.
Either show up and have fun or don't, your choice, the events will continue for the enjoyment of everyone.
When hosting events i am unbaised and many people i don't consider team material still end up winning lots of events. In a CC your costume and bio speaks for you and that's what i judge you on, it doesnt matter if we get along or not, your at the event to have a good time and show off what you can do. IT IS YOUR MOMENT TO SHINE!
Addendum: PERC and PvPEC turned me down because they did not feel the need for bigger prizes, they felt that what they offered was reasonable enough and people should come out to events mainly because they want to have fun. It should not be all about money. They do have a valid point, but i think having larger prizes or more prizes gives people more of a reason to come out. This topic might be a good discussion for another thread.
I do want to correct one thing though. PVPEC has never been contacted by you with an offer for extra funds. I am the only Champion rep and the leader of the Organization overall and have been the only Champion rep for a very long time. You have never approached me or any other Officer/member offering extra prizes. I accept extra prizes all the time from various members/leaders of Champion and would be more than happy to accept your funds.
As far as PERC, I don't know about the Champion reps. I retired from being Officer of PERC and am not a full time rep now. I am what they call a consultant which means I just sit around and look cool and offer advice or help as needed. I however do still run most of my pve events in the PERC name and am also happy to accept any funds you want to donate for those as well.
Of course the stipulation if you really did want to donate funds is that AOW's name would not be associated with the events at all. I do not run events in SG name's and never will. My events are for the community with no hidden agenda or attempt to gain popularity for any SG, including my own.
So if your offer is sincere in wanting to help fund PVPEC or PERC events you know where to find me. As I stated MANY Championites have donated before, more dollarz is more dollarz. -
We had a couple teams running for this and it was a blast! See you guys next Saturday!

Quote:Here is my question for you...why should I have to do that? In fact why should any one? When I think of people on this server who are "community helpers", "community organizers", people that verbally advertise themselves as open to teaming and helping.....guess what? I have teamed with them all at some point in time. Not them seeking me out, or me seeking them out but just a natural thing that happens."This part makes me laugh only because if I remember correctly most of us have been deemed unworthy to even be on a team with her, more less join her SG."
--I cannot speak for Felecia, but I think she would allow you to join her SG and see what it's all about, if you are nice. Just send a tell like "Hey fel, I know we've had our differences in the past but lets just leave that behind, would you like to team for a bit?" If she wasn't busy, I am 99% sure she would accept you.
If I sit up and think of everyone I have teamed with in over 4 years of COH (outside of my own SG of course), one of the best gamers, and friendliest people to team with is probably Amy. She has incredible knowledge of the game and has a lot to offer any team. Funny thing is that I don't feel priveledged to team with her. I don't fell like OMG I am so lucky for her to grace me with her presence. She doesn't come across that way. At any given time I can look at my global and see she isn't on a team and ask her to join me and if she isn't busy, she does. And visa Versa. We aren't buddies, or extremely close. We both have our own circle of friends and SG. I don't feel like I need to kiss her *** or suck up to her to team with her. I don't have to be "nice" to engage her in a conversation. She is just a human being just like me.
Those are the kind of people I want to team with and game with. If I have to blow your head up wth compliments and listen to you ******** me about how incredible of a gamer you are and how much you do for the community I might as well just go solo. I certainly don't want someone with less time than me in a video game, less level 50's, less experience etc making me feel like I should be lucky to be blessed with their presence and gaming knowledge. Sorry there is nothing s3xy about that picture. -
Quote:This part makes me laugh only because if I remember correctly most of us have been deemed unworthy to even be on a team with her, more less join her SG.but I encourage you to throw a toon in felecia's sg for just a week or so. Try it out and gain some knowledge about it before you denounce it as "a piece of ****". If you do that, and still find it repulsive, I am sure nobody will object to your opinion.
I am personally a bit curious Dave why you keep defending her? Not that I personally have a problem with it, I am just curious. I seem to remember not long ago you were pretty peeved at her. Peeved enough to wash yours and hers, and AOW's dirty laundry in public somewhat.
I don't believe I have seen one person say AOW is a bad SG. Some, like myself, think the SG could make a better decision than to continue to let her represent them in the way that she does. That just means they are not picky nor do they care about what people think about them. Not necessarily a bad thing I suppose.
YOu know I see her talk in the UHB channel all the time and she seems so super nice and friendly. I have never seen her talk in there like she does here. NO condescending tones or putdowns. I can assume she is probably generally a nice person who doesn't have the social skills necessary to be able to take criticism in any way. As long as no one is challenging her or expressing their dislike or disagreement for one of her ideas she is cool. That however is not enough to get through life.
Actually its not just that she doesn't take criticism well because I have seen her hop in to threads that had nothing to do with her and just blow some ******** out of her mouth that was rude and condescending and no one had said a single word to or about her.
Sadly for AOW, as long as they allow her to represent them in the way that they do then they get the reputation of being known as the SG that the psycho-whateverpeoplecallher chick is leader of. Just like I am sure my SG is known as the SG with thelongwindedwitchEventplannerchick runs. Pingus are known as the meanfuc-ktard runs them SG. EG is known as the "awesome hami guy" runs them SG. PON is known as the WhineyBeer guy SG. Intranet forums are not an exception to real life realities. People are judged by the company that they keep. Whether its fair or not, its a reality. -
Quote:Its human nature? Why would someone jump someone elses case for rudely commenting to the same person they are irritated at? That is in RL and on the forums. If you aggree with the jist of what I am saying, but not necessarily with how I say it, why would you feel the need to jump my case? No, it doesn't. But when a person says something that is wrong, ignorant, biased, whatever they also don't need to be jumped on by twenty people daily for the same thing over and over again. It seems silly to label the one comment as being drama and to ignore the twenty comments that follow and won't let it die as being something else.
That is what I am sick of when it comes to these threads. I don't see Felecia doing anything different than the people who comment simply to swear at her. If people are telling Fel to shut up, why is no one telling the others to do the same? I am not a member of AoW, I don't know Felecia well enough to say if I dislike her or not, but double-standards are easily spotted and they tend to piss me off.
There is a scale here that you are apparently not seeing. I will use myself as an example. I can be a real *****. There are plenty of people that don't care for me on the forums. However, overall, I have always tried to help Champion and my fellow gamers. So I get a little leeway.
Does that mean I am a celebrity or better than Felicia, no. What that means is I have earned some respect and if every now and then I get caddy or bitchy the majority will let it slide by.
Then you might have someone like Cobalt. Everyone knows he is a rude *** at times. Hell he knows it. However overall he has done a lot of good for the server and helped out a lot of people.
Felecia? Not so much. She talks as if she has done a lot, but hasn't. She is condescending 99% of the time. She hasn't earned any free passes to be a *****. Perhaps the one or 2 passes she has earned was spent many, many posts ago.
Its not about being a celebrity or a double standard. Its about real life, people get respect that have earned it. People get a swift kick in the *** that have earned it. -
Sad to see you go Shin. I must say it was always a pleasure when you would join LES teams/events. You are definitely one of the better gamers that I have experienced in this game. I knew no matter what build you joined us on , we were gonna rawk! Also in the few times I did get to pvp with you, it was always good times.

Quote:Actually, while I get your point. You are wrong. They knowingly allow her to represent them and sling the AOW name around with all the other BS she is slinging.Just She. I'm not in AoW anymore but I assure you that none of the other members are to blame. Don't use one person's actions to justify hating an entire supergroup. I highly doubt any of you can name three members in AoW anyway (Aside from felecia). And if you don't even know who they are, don't go on rants about what a problem they are.
I "WISH" one of my Officers said 1/1000th of the stuff she has said in a public forum representing the SG. The kick button would ***** slap them all the way to WOWland. We all have the right to be a ***** or ******* when we want to. Hell I have my "special" moments as well. However when you run events in your SG's name, have forum threads in your SG's name and speak on behalf of your SG it reflects on the SG. An SG may not be able to stop people from doing what they want to, however if they continue to let them act that way and continue to be a member and officer representing that SG then they are just as equally entitled to be grouped up in the **** pot of stench. -

Quote:An HO'd build is also better than a typical Frankenslotting build as well, depending on what you are trying to do with it.the values enhanced by generic IOs are a little higher then HOs or SOs
a schedule A IO for example: a lvl 50 dmg generic is 42% where as an nuc acc/dam is only 33.3%
With good slotting however an HOed build is still better then just a generic IOed build.
For example a Gladiator's Javelin ( and every other one) Acc/ Dam is 26.5/26.5, where a Nucleous is 33.3/33.3. That is a pretty significant difference in values.
I think actually the best builds are ones that have a little bit of everything. Set's, HO's, IO's and some frankenslotting.
Actually how many powers do you only need to enhance one thing that single IO values would be better? Hasten? A few other powers.
Most powers require more than one thing to be enhanced. Acc/dam, Acc/Mez, Travel/end reduct etc.
So yeah I still say lolwut to basic Io's typically being better than Ho's. Only in a few powers would that be true. -

Quote:First of all I am not a guy. Second of all no orders are given, server reps are allowed to run ANY type of pvp event they so choose to. Third of all I run multiple events on Champion for BOTH hardcore and new pvprs. I suppose I should use the method of every event being exactly the same and boring however being that no TP event had the biggest turnout I have seen in a while on Champion I will stick with the more creative method. You do know you'll be taking orders from the guy that sets up tournaments with "no travel powers" on.
You should put your creative input to better use and join the PVPEC and help plan events. :-) -

All it really takes is a few simple things.
- Wanting to provide good quality events for your server.
- Wanting to promote pvp in a positive way.
- The ability it run atleast 1 event per month.
- The ability to help out on our forums with constructive ideas for others events that are being planned.
So many people are moving to other servers to pvp because there isn't enough organized pvp on their own servers. If the community knows there are events that are organized and scheduled they will show up. -
Quote:All the more reason for you to join the PVPEC. With regular monthly events being planned on the server there eventually would be more pvp on the server. The problem with this is I have multiple 50s on Infinity that I really don't want to pay $10 a pop to transfer to Freedom (EM/WP Stalker, Fire/Kin Corr, Son/Rad Corr).
I represent Champion and most of us have moved toons to Freedom as well. Everyone still has toons on the server though and they still show up for the events. :-) -
Quote:P.M. Sent!<--- Interested but to lazy to PM You cause i have no clue what I need to say in it :P
This past Thursday i organized a Swiss Draw Tournament ( I will always do manual tournaments from now on though ). While it got really flawed and confusing there towards the end I think most people who came enjoyed themselves for the most part.
Trying to do something positive with what you have to work with to make others gaming experience better is never pointless. Dwelling on stuff you cannot change or impact is where the "pointless" comes in. :-) -

For the cross server events NCSOFT usually gives us prizes. For our own individual server events it comes out of our own pockets and occassionally you can get NCSOFT to donate a costume code or gold title.
-
The same benefits I get. The satisfaction of helping the Community.

Quote:I plan on running them so that people who have never done them can enjoy them. Taking shortcuts is fine. For example tp'n to boss when its not a clear all. However lets not try to make a 2 hour TF over in 20 mins and rush people so bad they don't get any enjoyment out of it. :-)Kat -
Thanks for scheduling these and moving them so they are not opposite the RWZ mothership raids.
I didn't see the Lord Recluse Strike Force scheduled on your list and wondered if you were planning of adding it.
Also, I'm with Trev for speeding these.
If you are planning to run this as exp-generating events, then I can understand that ... I'll just make sure I'm on Trev's team
-Llew.
As far as LRSF, that will be a seperate event that will be a race and have a prize at the end some time probably next month or so after these are finished.
