The woman found herself slamming into the floor as the axe didn't so much chop her feet off as trip her up, followed by receiving the flames in her face. A minor irritation, it seemed, as all it took was one slammed fist to the ground to disperse the flames and teleport back to her feet. Unfortunately for her, she had only teleported on the spot, keeping her in the path of Buck's uppercut.
The guardian's head snapped back on impact, sending her staggering back briefly. The woman almost immediately straightened her posture again, following up by swinging her arms up into the air. Instead of an invisible blast this time, she had decided to up the ante but tearing stones from the floor at the two.
Shadowcrash rushed to Richie and Isabella. The hopeless Durham lad was slowly picking himself up from the floor when the ghost grabbed his arm and dragged him back to his feet.
"You okay, Richie?" She asked, he face showing signs of genuine concern.
"Aye, I'm alright!" Richie answered, swaying slightly on his feet. "You're talking to someone who survived getting hit by a speeding van!"
"Right, think we can still take her out?"
"Like we've got a choice?"
"Point." Shadowcrash nodded before turning to the girl. "Isabella, get out of here, get to the apartment, okay?"
As the two of them rushed to assist, Isabella looked on, disregarding Selina's request immediately.
"But... wait! You can't simply..." -

A Co* RTS game'd be fun, pass it to the people who make the Dawn of War games and have Arachnos, Council, Nemesis and Longbow as the 'armies' with each map being CoH/CoV zones. Add in a unique system which spawns random Superheroes or Supervillains to cause chaos and you got a game.

I'd be more for a Famicom Wars/Fire Emblem-esque game TBH. Signature heroes with a small army of lesser guys based on the main game's ATs battling it out on a grid-based map against Signature villains with a small army of... you get the idea. With a few extras, like attacking with a KB-capable char knocks the enemy away a few squares etc... *rambles on* -
Upload the file you want under a slightly different name and adjust your page's link accordingly? That's what I just resorted to a couple of times when I ran into that problem.
(Yeah, probably not ideal, like, but!) -
A just barely recovered Richie rushed at the woman, drawing his swords on the way.
"And there was an actual chance as resolving this PEACEFULLY, DAMMIT!" Shadowcrash screamed as she followed Richie.
"I know, I know!" Richie barked, still advancing rapidly toward the woman as a dark cloud formed around him. "Nowt we can do about it now besides take her on!"
Richie held his swords above his head on the final approach, bringing them down on the woman's back. Minimal effect. The guardian staggered forward momentarily, letting go of Isabella as she did, right before hurling the Durham lad back a few metres onto his backside with another blast in a minor rage.
Isabella herself took the opportunity to run to Richie to see if he was okay, but more importantly escape from the guardian. -
Molly winced in surprise as the door burst open, opening her eyes soon after only to see the robot ahead of her.
"Uh... oh..." She quietly announced before carefully raising her rifle in the vain hope that it hadn't quite spotted her yet... -
Longstaff WarTech offers augmentation in various forms, including nanotech and cybernetics, under strict conditions (which means villains are pretty much SOL there thanks to their highly extensive procedures for checking potential customers out! o_O)
Constructed Curse could offer similar to villains, what with being a former employee of Longstaff and all. However, any augmentations from her won't exactly be of the same quality.
Both of them would depend on the type of powers that need boosting though. Neither of them are gonna be of much help to a magic character for example. -
Why would you want to unless you were actively trying for the AH badges?
Otherwise, you could just drag them to the nearest shop and sell them for 250 Inf each minimum. -

Catz wasn't to far behind Molly, but was waving a spare robot arm around like a big kid "Wow. Any ideas what happened in here... Looks like Tin-man had a bit of a fight on his hands."
Her footsteps echoed around the corridors behind them from her heeled boots.

"Here's hoping whatever happened, he didn't get recycled." Molly mutter as she drew her rifle. A precaution, if anything. "And yeah, I know that was bad."
The sudden sounds of conflict beyond the door took her by surprise. Swiftly turning to point her rifle at it, the teen genius then rushed over its side, seeking a means to open it.
"Hey, uh... you might wanna get over here, you know? Not gonna help at all, standing there, making yourself open to whatever's on the other side, you think?" -
"I boot crims into the ground, hun," Max muttered as she searched through a small card wallet, one of its usual contents - a UK debit card - dangling from between her lips, "Not drag them back up in any way shape or form, so don't worry. Ah, here it is." The mackem lass pulled out a small plastic photocard carrying the hero data Howie may have needed to see.
"Just in case you still wanted to check. I just have one question though, hun. Was there owt else you found, besides what was taken by the camera and the - ick! - obvious body bits layin' about?" -
Maxine McCaffrey looked up at the store from outside the boundaries marked by the "CRIME SCENE" tape, her hands firmly in her pockets as she adopted a slight leaning pose to the left.
"Huh?" the woman known as Midnight Max bludgeoned the silence with her Sunderland accent. "Wonder what's happened here, like..."
At that very moment, a random tinny tune of a ringtone played out from her right pocket, prompting her to pull her hand from it, along with her mobile. A few keypresses later, the mackem hero smirked slightly.
"Right, guess I'm at the right place at the right flippin' time, right?" she muttered before gesturing for a nearby officer's attention. "Can I have a word with whoever's in charge here, hun?" -
Molly scanned over the damage as she passed by, cringing slightly as she did.
..."Oooooooh boy..." the Pink One quietly announced as she pressed on with her search for the others. -
The woman stumbled forward slightly, feeling the full force of Tzadi's kick. Infuriated by the sudden attack, she then sent an almighty invisible blast crashing into him, before turning her attention to Isabella.
"Enough of this!" she barked as she stormed toward the girl, "Isabella remains here! Those who seek to defy me... do not expect to live for long!"
"No!" Isabella screamed as the woman then grabbed her by the arm and dragged her away, her little legs barely keeping up with herself. Almost immediately, the entire corridor began to shake...
"That's not good!" Richie and Shadowcrash both piped up in unison, the two of them then turning to each other and asking "And will you stop that?" -
The woman blinked at the girl for a moment. Right before unceremoniously dropping Richie, who took the opportunity to scramble away toward Shadowcrash.
"What do you think you're doing, Isabella?" The woman finally asked. Isabella remained silent for a moment, smiling slightly upon seeing that Richie was okay.
"Ending this." she said, breaking her silence. "I am ending this madness once and for all." The girl then began to approach the gang, dashing over as quickly as her feet could move her, only to be stopped by a new cloud forming in front of her.
"Isabella, no." The woman commanded. "Their world is unsuitable for either of us. I can't allow it." Richie's left eye twitched momentarily.
"Alright, that's it!" he barked, turning to face the woman while struggling to fight off all his aches and pains. "Who the flamin' hell died and made you her flamin' mam, like?"
A brief moment of silence followed as both Isabella and the woman looked down at their feet... -
Gemma stumbled into her studio, her hands full with various discs, optical and magnetic alike. Atop the unstable plastic pile sat one of of aforementioned posters, picked up from the mailbox as she entered the building.
The musician then staggered over to her desk, dumping the pile of discs onto it and ensuring the thing stayed upright. Sitting down as she read the poster for a moment, she then placed it on top of her yellowed Amiga and reached for her phone.

Pretty vid though, all the streaming shots from the heros and the swoop-throughs by the cameraman are pretty.

Agreed. Okay, the camerawork isn't the best, but considering the chaos... at least SHE managed to catch the several tens of heroes bombing seven shades out of the ships. Which is the awesomeness. -
The efforts of both parties to breach the cloud prove as ineffective as each other's, their swords merely bouncing off the cloud.
Within the cloud, the woman it just about ready to finish off Richie, only to be interrupted at the last minute as the cloud is suddenly blasted away by a sudden gust of wind. Standing opposite the gang of heroes was its cause: A small girl, her skin and hair matching that of the woman, with long pointed ears and baggy black clothing. And she didn't seem the least bit please with the fight that took place. -
Molly swiftly turned her head in the direction of where she could best determine the noise from the explosion came from.
"I think we just found out!" Molly followed her announcement up by slotting her rifle onto her back and setting her boots to full burn. "Let's move!" -
The cloud bettered Tzadi, gently pushing him back out as soon as he stepped just a few inches into it.
Shadowcrash attempted to prod the cloud herself, finding herself unable to breach it. Punching it proved ineffective as well.
"We need to get Richie out of there, dammit!" the ghost barked. "Not much point in going after Isabella if our only way out kicks the bucket!"
Within the cloud, the woman hauled Richie to his feet and clenched a fist, a similarly dark cloud forming around it. -
DJ Stacker's still around and still active. She runs the Paragon-based Rescuer Records label through which she released two albums, one of which being a charity compilation of her prior works. Her genre of choice is trance, but she's also pumps out an alarming amount of Amiga music as well, which formed the basis of her charity album. When she's not writing new tunes, she's DJing whereever.
She'd be all for it.
I've also got White Noiz, another trance artist, but she's currently label-less and got a bit on her plate at the moment. >_> -
The woman threw her arms up in front of her, calling forth a dark cloud that surrounded herself and Richie, cutting them both off from the rest of the gang. She then returned her attention to Richie, who was struggling to catch his breath and get back to his feet. A quick few steps was all it took to approach the red-hair idiot before she immidiately grabbed him by his hair.
"Ow ow ow ow AGH!" Richie screamed as she borderline tore a few chunks out. "What the hell, man!"
"You", the woman barked, "YOU are the one who masterminded this little... excursion into MY home, aren't you?"
"Kinda..." Richie groaned, "There a problem, like?"
The woman yanked at Richie's hair once more, prompting him to scream again.
"Yes, there is definitely a problem, one I will have to put a stop to once and for all. And trust me when I say this,"
"Aye? OW!" Richie yelled again as she pulled at his hair for a third time. "Will you flamin' well knock that OFF ALREADY!?"
"I will do everything in my power to ensure Isabella's safety... that's who you have come for, am I correct?"
"Maybe?"
The woman paused for a moment, before continuing.
"I have no choice, then. I shall have to dispose of you. Permanently."
"Now how'd I know that was - AGH! Enough of the hair pulling, you stupid old bag!"
*****
Outside the strange dark cloud surrounding the Guardian and Richie, Shadowcrash had finally pulled herself together and was back on her feet. The ghost looked around for Richie, before giving the cloud her full attention.
"...Yep, we are -seriously- screwed, people!" she yelled to anyone still awake, her eyes fixed on the cloud. "I'm open to a Plan B right now. ANY Plan B!" -
...
vB? The sooner the better, I say. -
The woman finally released Richie, allowing him to drop to the floor rather unceremoniously. As the hopeless hero slammed into the ground she then vanished in what appeared to be a puff of smoke. The slab itself sailed through the short-lived cloud as she then suddenly reappeared behind Buck, sending the very same unseen forces slamming upward into the troll.
-
"Oh be quiet."
The woman raised a hand as she broke her silence, dispelling the flames around her before lowering it to gesture an immense unseen force down onto Hellskeeper.
Richie, still being throttled by the woman's invisible grip, started to squirm in a vain effort to break loose.
